Hooke's Law and the Newton Spring Balance by Professor Mac

Hooke's Law describes the relationship between the extension of a spring and the force applied to the spring. A spring balance uses Hooke's law to enable you to measure the force applied to the spring balance by measuring the spring extension. In this video Professor Mac explains Hooke's law and demonstrates its use in a spring balance to predict the weight of an object of unknown mass.
