You take the final point reading (when masses are attached on the spring) minus the initial pointer reading (when no mass is attached on the spring) e.g 0.4-0.3=0.1 extension, 0.5-0.3 = 0.2 extension, 0.6-0.3 = 0.3 extension etc. Thanks for your comment 🙏. I wish you all the best in your studies 🙏.
