For those having a difficult time cleaning it there was a comment below about taking it outside and spraying the underneath brush area with a hose sprayer. I tried this today being careful not to get it anywhere else and the brush and plastic area were clean within 30 seconds. Itâs a game changerđđ»

@@Wandafully_Wanda The design of the dirty tank is a joke? Why is it so hard to get the water out of?! I put rubbing alcohol diluted with water, shake, sit shake sit. Rinse which is hell as you canât get the water fully out
yeah i watched the guy clean it and was like... nope and took it outside and sprayed inside with the hose. just put your finger over it and you have a "pressure washer".

I literally bought this 2 days ago. I used it to do my living room and dining room. Yes, lots of refills but at its size and price it was expected. I wasnât looking for hoses and was more than happy to not have to pay for things I donât need. Very easy to maneuver. This little thing did an amazing job, better than my previous full size Machine. Great review.
@@keilana6 exactly literally just bought it cause all the great reviews it has. I mean donât get me wrong it worked great for my pet stain I been trying to clear up. But the cleaning is dreadful, literally almost started pulling my own hair out cause I couldnât get inside the little piece of plastic.

This little machine is amazing. I did my whole house with it. Yes I had to fill it up and empty the tank a lot but itâs worth it for the money...
Thatâs my thing. Iâve had to refill like 20 times for one section of carpet. Water was still dirty
I just got this cleaner for my apartment and I have to say it's done a fantastic job getting up all the pet stains. Highly recommend for the price
This machine kicks ass.... yes you have to fill and empty.... ever five minutes..... but it will get tuff, deep, left in for weeks stains out.... and wow, it does a good deep clean
We just cleaned carpet that was in the dogs room, I thought the carpet was trash and needed replaced. I didnt think it could be cleaned. This thing was on sale for $45 at Wal-Mart, so we figured it was worth a shot. Im am truly amazed how well this worked! The carpet looks almost new again! We didnt use pre treatment either, but had we done that, Im positive it would look brand new! Ill definitely recommend this to everyone I know

I bought one today I have a pet who just won't stop pissing on the floor but I love it it's save time-consuming and it did a great job and the dog actually act proud that I cleaned it instead of going back to the corner every time so it works for me fabulousđâ€
I have this machine & have been fairly happy for small pet stains or spills. It definitely doesnât replace a large machine, but does a nice job on small areas. We have several pets, so no matter how well I vacuum, thereâs always hair stuck in the brush roll after carpet cleaning. I find it easiest to go outside to clean up the machine after I use it. I take out the dirty water tank & snap off the removable front nozzle piece before I lay the machine flat on a stool near my backyard garden hose (with motor section up). I gently clean out the hair/dirt in the brush roll area with the hose. This way the water & mess run out easily without me worrying about water touching the electrical system.

i take my powerdash outside and hose the brush and guard off with the garden hose it takes 5 seconds too clean max.

Just used it's easy, works well for spot cleaning. As for cleaning out the front under the brush without having to remove screws, use a baby bottle brush....it bends easily and has bigger and smaller ends soft enough not to damage!

Bought this today after being super disappointed with a Rug Doctor I had rented last week. I obviously didn't expect it to do better than a professional grade unit but I figured that since I wouldn't have to return it within 24 hours, I could get a lot more out of it. In my case it honestly has impressed me so much more considering the price and size. I went back over the stains left by the Rug Doctor and the spots are much lighter. Not trying to bash Rug Doctor either. They're popular for a reason. It could be a difference in solution, or that the rental unit is past it's prime. Don't really know but I can definitely say this is worth every cent. Lastly, I had actually purchased the Bissell Turboclean first a couple of days ago but mine was leaking from the dirty reservoir. I returned it and they didn't have any left so that's why I got this one. It was just a perfect storm of bad experiences that led me to this amazing contraption. And again, not trying to bash Bissell either lol. I love my Bissell vacuum and steam mop. It's just the way things worked out.

Great vid, I've been through 3 giant and expensive cleaners in 3 years and finally decided to downsize to this one after lugging the heavy ones around and seemingly endless frustration and troubleshooting. Taking a quick hose to the underside/brushes area def helps with getting the crud off. I use a Bissel Little Green thing for the car and furniture. The Powerdash is a great unit, esp considering the price- thanks for this video

Thank you so much for your reviews, on top of just enjoying watching them, I really needed a carpet cleaner as my daughter had both gotten sick and spilled red juice on the carpet, and I had seen this unit at Walmart for $88 and wanted to know if it was worth the money at that price, I knew I wasn't going to be getting full-size features, I just needed something to help clean up some spots on the carpet and this worked great thanks for the reviews.

I am on my second one as I love the power to get it clean.
Today I went to turn on nothing..no power..
Last cleaner I threw it away for same problem.. it wont turn on.
Check fuse box, checked everything possible.
I did notice before both stopped working it did make a high resolution sound as if the roller and belt messed up.
This cleaner is 6 months old and I don't have an extra $80 to go get another one.
Where can I look for a possible fuse or reset button if the cleaner does have one... tia

@Travis I found out looking at my online receipts I purchased 3 year warranty.
This one has a noticable smaller power to it.
It doesn't have the super motor power like my other 2.
This is quieter
bought mine recently, 1) took off removable nozzle rinsed out, snap back on ..
2) rinse upside down under tap for cleaning inside bristles (run low water prevent splashing)
3) filling was easy for me, used small laundry attachment for tap and small hose filled canaster,
worked for my 1st job 2 bedroom apartment client moved all furniture out of way for my work... was surprised how well it worked... good little machine really low price, easy to manuver, unboxing found a sample bottle Hoover brand - '"paws and claws" cleaning liquid..(6 oz /177 ml) ..

The Hoover power dash carpet cleaner at first seemed to be adequate for what I needed
but after on a second use found that it went thru solution even when the trigger wasn't depressed .So in an area the size of a small welcome mat the machine had emptied itself not pleased

The cap on the cean water tank is made of a weak, flexable cap, and needs to be pressed on hard to catch the threads that dont start till deep in the cap. This means that it is difficult to put the cap on correctly AND the cap is easy to break. Once the cap is on, when reinstalling the bottle to the machine, you have to press the bottle into the machine, but if you press too hard OR not hard enough it leaks. So just use a spray bottle once you've gotten tired of it leaking or you've broken the cap (you will).
Excellent instructional video. Wish I had taken time to read reviews before I bought it. I needed something to clean cat smelly carpets which it did beautifully. Cleaning the Power Dash was a total time consuming challenge. Sorry they didn't make it easier to clean properly - the brush needed extreme cleanup & I there was no brush cleaner with my shampooer. It took longer to clean the shampooer than to shampoo. I hope they have had mercy on the consumer and changed it to facilitate easier cleaning of shampooer.

Just did our first cleaning with our Hoover Powerdash and this is an excellent review. It did an excellent job cleaning, but there were multiple refills required for a potion of a small room. In addition, once we started to clean the machine it became obvious that the manufacture did not put much thought into designing the machine for thorough cleanup.

I just got this and I love that its light and easy to move around - I'm older now and can't lift or bend like I use to. I use it to clean the rooms where we walk, NOT the whole room, so Im not removing furniture and so far it did a great job. I also tried it on the steps, like I said I don't want to be on my hands and knees with hoses. so if you put it sideways you can do one half then turn it to the other side and do the other half of the step . looks a lot better.
I use it for monthly cleaning of area rugs. Love it đ

So true I mean truthful review. I gives me a lot of information that I did not expect like the problem that users must encounter when trying to clean the unit after use which is crucial for carpet cleaners as stains and dirt get stuck along the way from the suction head to the container which I did not expect to encounter on this machine. Anyways, these are valuable informations that we must need to know before buying otherwise the device will only be replaced sooner or later. At least much sooner than expected, as it does not match is the expectation that I or we have on this product. Not only will. It become a waste of money, but it could also become waste as we have not deal/dealt/dispose it probably.

My niece is moving into an apartment with her boyfriend and wanted to used my 15yr old Hoover carpet cleaner (nice workhorse). I have been cleaning the basement berber and it sounds and feels like a shaft for the motor let go (metal on metal sounds, shaking and that wonderful electrical smell mixed with hot oxidized metal)
I was going to get the BISSELL PowerForce PowerBrush for her as an apartment warming until I saw it side by side with the Hoover Powerdash shown here.
Side by side they are night and day.
The Bissell is mostly hard plastic with an unprotected collection tub at the base. One accidental kick and the collection tub is cracked.
The Hoover's collection tub sounds more supple when tapped and is up higher and not part of the exposed base of the unit.
If a kick from the side hits the Hoover base, you may just take of a piece of the skirt and still have a perfectly functional unit with a just a scar.
The Hoover looks nicer, sturdier and feels sturdier than the Bissell does.
She wants the apartment dirt to be hers so she can feel better sitting on the carpet or laying on it, nevermind the use she'll get from owning a cat...
I got the Bissell last year and hated it. It worked ok for the plush carpet but it dragged on the flat which is in most the house. Just got the Hoover and it moves so smoothly on my flat carpet and the suction is way better.

Does the brush roll cover not flip forward like stated in the directions for cleaning after use?
I got this for the reasons he cited-inexpensive, works, lightweight and compact. I already had the small bissell pet pro that I now will just use on upholstery. Would be nice to eventually get a cleaner that does it all. I have many area rugs with wood or tile underneath, and an older female dog with a leaky bladder. I think this will be perfect to use on a regular basis. For my large 11'x7' and some inches, I went thru two canisters. I may have to clean it twice, but I'd rather that than have the water soak thru to the wood. I would not recommend using the hoover on the underneath side of your area rugs because it is a bit harsh on the fibers, fraying and slightly pulling. I did this before I realized the mess I was making and then switched to the bissell pet cleaner for the pee spots. Luckily there's no visible damage on the top side. In a dry climate with open windows I think this will dry quickly, no more than a day. Just for additional piece of mind, I also pre sprayed with vinegar water and let it sit for bit before I cleaned. So far so good, and smells SO much better!

For our 15 year old 100 lb "leaky" lady, puppy pee pads were useless.
We bought large washable protective bed pads online thru Walmart they come in all sizes. They are the kind you use for bed bound patients. They are usually available 2' to 6' long and 2' to 3' wide.
We put them over the carpets in areas where she likes to hang out, then we will put disposable puppy pads over them. For tiny leaks, we can just throw the puppy pads out.
If she overflows the puppy pads,
the big big bed pads have fully protected the carpets and they then get thrown in the washer with a dash of bleach.
Bonus, she enjoys the extra cushioning of the bed pads.
They are easy to wash, and if company is coming over, we just pick them up and put them out of sight, and have a perfectly clean carpet underneath.
We also use the washable bed pads in her dog bed.
They have made life a lot easier

A good Garden Hose Nozzle eliminates the Cleaning Problem completely! Easy as pie.
And don't forget to Rinse with Clear Water a couple of times after the Sudz!

Dope cheap carpet shampooer. Got for under 80 at Walmart. No more renting equipment. Only draw bag is the water tank empties fast. So you'll find yourself going thru lots of water and solution. I use this for my studio apartment.

We bought one about 6 months ago. We are really into keeping our carpet clean with 2 dogs it's necessary. Well I clean the entire brush assembly after each use. We keep the filter basket clear and wash out the dirty tank each time. Well the belt went last time used. We got the belt replaced started the machine and it was really loud and suddenly stopped all together? Nothing seems like no power to the machine? We don't have the receipt. Is the motor fried? Seems unlikely since the machine is practically brand new. Any ideas? Thanks

To clean the brush head area, fill your sink with water, dip the front of the unit into the water and run the machine to spin the bushes. This cleans the whole area out pretty well, I find. Just be careful not to immerse too deep so that the motor gets waterlogged!
Thanks this is a helpful suggestion. Other people who mentioned taking it outside and running the hose on it, obviously don't live in apartments where they don't have access to an outside much less a hose!

Iâve gone through so many expensive steam cleaners that broke and didnât clean that well till this one Iâve had it for 2 years it works amazing itâs a little bit hard to clean but itâs worth the extra work for the cleaning power and durability

I just received mine today, put it together, turned it on and the cleaner would not dispense. I've tried removing the bottle, unscrewing the black screw and crewing it back on but the cleaner still fill not dispense.
I saw this in the store. looks pretty basic but effective. I got myself a Rug Doctor Flexclean cause it was on sale for 159, it does carpets and hard floors and am pretty happy with it.

I love on a mobile home so I don't have large rooms to clean. I could see how the small tank could be an issue but it does the job for me. I also have a spot cleaner that I use for small areas or furniture so the lack of attachments is also not an issue. For the price it's been faithful for years.

Only complaints I have is the cleaning of the machine after use and how quickly the solution runs out but I also tried using this on my whole house when itâs just a slightly larger spot cleaner but I do love that it pulls the mess out very well!
Try using only 1/3 of the recommended amount of solution.
I use 1 oz, not 3 oz
I pre-treat pet spots with a pet spot cleaner spray (the kind you clean up with paper towels), I use less solution, then I go over again with just warm water, like a rinse cycle after cleaning with solution.
I found using the solution full strength as they recommended just leaves too much residue in the carpet which attracts and holds dirt, which then requires more frequent cleanings in traffic areas
Nice on the new on the new series! I been looking over a bunch of cleaners and even heading over to the professional forums. I have come to the conclusion, even after testing, none of the home or rentals work that well with just water and solution. All the Pro use a Pre-Treat and then a Solution Rinse to get the carpets clean and I believe this %100!
I have a found a pre-treat will get the carpet cleaner just by agitating it from the cleaner rollers with out spraying out the solution.
True, then it comes down to choosing the right pretreatment and solution for the type of stain you have.
@@VacuumWars Maybe you can do another series on pre-treats to see what works best and cost and use just water for rinse or one if these without solution and agitate it to see a difference.
