Love the headboard! It is great just how you made it, and I can also imagine it made with a variety of straps and colors, and even variations on the weave. It could be made with black going vertically and white horizontally - or any two colors - for a checkerboard look. It could be made in a herringbone weave. It could be made with wide cotton straps for a boho look. It's good as a headboard or as a decorative piece.

My daughter is coming to crash at ours for a few months before her fellowship takes her away elsewhere, so maybe her room can do with a temporary fix like this made by her mum!

I like weaving projects because they're a great way to use small pieces from other projects. The final result is like a little memory quilt of all the beautiful things you've created! :-)
The metal cutting guide is a mitre box :) just like how you cut mitres on a chop saw or use a mitre saw, it's helpful for a small hand saw/craft saw. They have bigger versions for bigger saws
That headboard is awesome!!! And such a cute and functional idea for the desk accessories holder. Love the terrazzo painting too, So much so that I would just leave it as art as it's too pretty to put push pins into! 😁💕

I say this because sometimes you can get an older edition of the book at lot cheaper, get some used, or your library may have your book available to reserve. Ebooks are typically cheaper, so if you can use them, you should. Get a planner, take your syllabi, and mark every assignment and test at the start of the semester. This helps you keep track of every assignment. If you can, always bring a few snacks, especially if you’re going to be on campus for a long time. If you’re staying in dorms, try to avoid studying where you sleep. Find a nice quiet spot and use that place for homework and studying. The separation between your resting place and your studying place is important.

An awesome easy alternative to the wood frame is to just buy a artist canvas, you can even leave the fabric on as your first layer!
For the headboard, you should have cut it with a rotary cutter. For me I use it just like an exacto only for material. So great!
