I’m one of your grandma subscribers! I’m amazed at your work ethic. You work so hard! I’m a diyer myself and sometimes when I watch all you young people, I get such a sense of deja vu. I’ve done so many of these projects myself and the 70’s vibe is just crazy. I’ve got a ton of stuff from the seventies stored in my basement and I’m digging it out to “ refresh” my space! Best wishes in all your endeavors! You’ve certainly earned it. I’ll keep watching.

A suggestion for you, to avoid having to trim the uneven lengths on the tassels - tape a length of the yarn along the top side of the frame before you start wrapping. That way, you can tie it off evenly at the top centre and have the same length ends. Hope that makes sense 😁 Love your creative ideas (and, as a partially deaf person, how clearly you speak and how well you enunciate 😚)

also after tying the knots needed, you can trim the yarn like he does, or you can leave the excess yarn longer and take a yarn needle and pull the yarn into the tassel and that can make it easier to hide your knots!
and for smaller tassels you could even use the frame lengthwise and tie it on both sides, then cut in the middle. it would move around a little bit while cutting, but I'm sure it's doable.

Tips for the tassel making: your frame has Ana opening in the middle so you could tie the yarn somewhere in the middle and cut it just on the opposite side.. that was too much work with the xacto knife.
And to make the tassels more secure on the blanket instead of cutting the yarn you could put the ends back in the tassels with the help of your needle 🥰
The shelf change with the cane material is gorgeous. I really like it a lot.
I’m 65. My mother had sister and I making pom poms, tassels and weaving tie strings from wool for the things she knitted for us. You use 4 nails hammers into a wooden thread spool. Caps, sweaters etc. I was so young when she taught us all this I hardly remember the age I was 5? I was on her treadle sewing machine by 5 too! I’m so glad all you young people are making these video to show everyone how to do all this! ver signed up. I even offer first 16 hours free. I threw out our old throw pillows from living room when we moved. Dont ask. My partner I met 7 years ago had them like 30 years. Hard to find materials to make pillows but this is such a great idea. I need new dining seat covers too. Never thought to use the natural weave throw rugs or similar. Always great inspiration from your videos.

I would love to see a video on home office organization. Like so many people, I am now working from home, and it would be nice to have a way to deal with the files and clipboards that would blend with home decor.
When tying your pompoms use a surgeons knot. A quick twist to a square knot that will stop it from loosening before your second tie. (A tip from one crafter to another 😉)

Love the collection! I would love to see a loose neck sweatshirt with out the hoody. Hoody sweatshirts bother my anxiety because I feel like I'm being strangled. I see so many cute ones but I just can't do it. Maybe think about one for us other peeps. Love the apron.

You could use something to give a similar kinda vibe? Like mudcloth or something with a similar weave? A fabric that's similar to your decor.
