Thanks so much for watching and I hope you enjoyed. Leave any future video ideas you would like to see in the comments below and don't forget to subscribe!
I love that Drew showed the failed attempt of the succulents. I hate when people try to make the project look easy and perfect when it's not in any way. I appreciate the honesty not just the projects that work. That's why I love Drew.
foreverandalwaysiam me too!!! I really appreciate seeing honesty. Not everything needs to look contrived and perfect 100% of the time! ❤️

Well, he probably meant that it was a fail for him. Even if he doesn't recommend it, it doesn't mean that you shouldn't try it for yourself anyway. It's good that he shared it because then we can learn from his mistake as well... I frankly hold nothing against him.
I know that this is old but I'd also like to add that those succulents are definitely more likely to get root bound too if anyone's thinking about doing this DIY.
That's especially when you take into consideration the size of the "planter" and also the depth of the soil it's given to grow in.
Not to mention how if you water too much it can soak into the newspaper more if the protective measures aren't taken in order to prevent this. This accumulation of water can lead to root rot as well; or just more pests.
pasfio Could you start new succulents in these little pots? That’s what I would try if I was going to use real plants. Also, I’m thinking I will just go the fake plant route. I love creating paper plants. I don’t mind faux plants; I just don’t like fake plants when they try to look real.
I would add a thin layer of paper clay to the outside too. I would like the texture better I think. The other change I would make is two magnets instead of one. One on each of the upper back corners would probably prevent the sagging.
@@rtd1791 using fake plants would definitely be fine since they're fake ^^ and I think that it depends on the type and general size of the succulent you'd be using !! And definitely do the added magnets for extra safrty. And adding anything like paper clay is fine as long as it won't interfere with the plant if you get a real plant (like on the outside of the pot ) ^^
my fav thing about your channel is that you can actually see your past DIYs scattered in your home and it's not just something you do for content and then just dispose of!!
Agreed, the succulent one was a bit naff but I loved everything else, especially the pearl planter. Love you, Drew. xxx
Love that you're recreating DIYs frim TicToc, Drew! I made similar magnet planters, but i used wine corks. Just drill a hole in the top of the cork, add soil and a small succulent and glue a magnet to the side of the cork. Water with an eye dropper. I've given them as gifts and ppl love them! 💜

First of all, you’re adorable....Secondly, you’re a GENIUS with the hidden knot on the first DIY!!!! I saved this video JUST to have it on hand for the next DIY I do that needs that idea!
alternative video title : elevating crappy tiktok DIY projects and making them look expensive, baby!
😂😂😂
Lol
Lol
I love the speckled effect on the third DIY
So fun!! The hanging tray-shelf is *amazing* - I love how you put your own spin on it!!❤️
I agree!
Thanks Nanci! ❤️
Would possibly add a few adhesive velcro tabs to back of shelf for just a little added strength and stability.
I feel so old, I don't have an tik tok account. Also never started with SnapChat. Haha. But your video about tik tok video's is something I still love to watch
Aw thanks Cici! Glad you enjoyed (:
Cici Heart Your not alone sunshine!!!😂😂😂😉🤗☺️😋👵🏻
I'm 23 and don't have tik tok... People do so many videos about tik tok I don't bother downloading it LOL
Drew,
I really appreciate that you stop to show & list your supplies when doing a project. It’s really helpful for us peeps who are going to recreate and follow along. Thank you
WAIT that thread tying technique on the first one!!!! Help!
Today I learned that tik tok apparently has more than just dance videos? Thanks drew
Jenna Cramer yessss there is so much depending on what videos you like
Damn y’all on straight TikTok
@@sixfeetapart58 it's a dark place my friend
Drew needs a NETFLIX series ASAP!!!!
A HGTV DIY show would be great!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I agree
PLEASE HE DOES
NETFLIX PLEASE LET HIM HAVE A SHOW
I'm def doing allll of these! My mentee is in love with DIY too and doing your projects together has made us so much closer and given us something to look forward too. It's neat because when we DIY together she opens us more and I've been able to help her so much so I'm excited to have more things to bond over. thank you!
Black string bindings over the rope, that was a great idea! The concrete base project gave me another idea on what to do with the pieces of long driftwood I've been saving for years, (the smaller pieces go into terrariums and planters).
For that succulent magnet one I think folding the newspaper in would give more tension and so would bigger, flatter rectangular magnets.
Love the tip about securing you binding ends. I think using air plants would be great too for the magnets. The vase is cute but just not my taste.
This aestheticcccc 😍 your vibe is everythinggg
The tree branch project is aesthetic and minimalist! so cute!
The hanging shelve & planter are my faves! Cute idea with the pearls 🙂
Dont trust those 5 minute craft style video siriously, im done with that 🤣🤣
Yeah, they're mostly fake! 😝
@Aaliyah Smith yes that totally could happen if u do it right😄
I would have used a larger magnet. I could see right away that that one was way too tiny.
Kathy Kovacic it’s a bad diy, i feel like even with a larger one it would still fall because the newspaper isn’t strong enough
Nice wee planters there. Probably could do with strengthening (several more layers). It's a great way to germinate seeds. My daughter came home from school one day with 5 sprouted sunflower seeds. We had to keep them on the windowsill for a few weeks and then it was a matter of planting the paper directly into the soil. It helps the roots establish as it breaks down. We had 5 giant sunflowers in our garden a few weeks later and when they died off, our garden was swarmed with birds to feed on the seed heads. It was great. Must do it again. Love the video Drew. Thanks for sharing.
I like the way when you were painting those tiny planters without gloves.. 😊As people tend to use while doing diys.. And it isnt disgusting at all it is treat to watch those lovely DIYS
at 12:35 "I went out into the yard and found this one: which is AMAZING & PERFECT!! " I love that. so matter-of-fact. That statement kind of reminds me of Juno Birch the stunning queeen.
I really love the binding on the hanging shelf. Gives a really nice, finished touch!
😍 I’m so doing some of these, I really like the tray I think I’m going to get a bohemian style stencil and stencil a boarder around the tray inside! Thank you Drew! Happy Valentines Day!
Wowww.... this video is sooo aesthetically pleasing!
Omg you actually saw my comment!?
The planter was actually my favorite so I'm so glad you added it! I'm going to add the black speckles because that's what made it go from ok to YES!
I love the ceramic look on the planter. Such a good idea to trial these popular DIYs to see if they actually work! Thanks for doing this.
Oh I love the spinkles on the fishbowl vase!!
Super cute diys ! Especially loving the vase & jewelry branch holder !
TY! ❤️❤️
With the newspaper plant one try using the ice cube tray and put a kinda thin layer of air dry clay into it then use mod podge and put newspaper around it and hot glue a magnet that may work better
Yes, love this type of video, it's great to see not only if the project even works, but I love seeing you add your own flair to it (the rope binding on the first project was a gorgeous little addition)
That little black speckle trick is so cute!!
I'm obsessed with everything! I love the idea of the succulent magnets. Maybe using a cardboard egg crate would be more sturdy? Beautiful work, as always!
for the succulents, I think a sliightly bigger ice tray to fit about the double of the layers you did will make the little "vases" more sturdy and stable :D
This video was sooooooo much fun. I’ve wanted to diy a hanging bedside swing table like this. The one I found had holes drilled in it and it was hung from the ceiling. It looked stunning next to the bed with books on it and plant. Great job on this one, love your channel 🐝 Jojo
...definetly gonna do the bowl planter. love the black specs on it. like the wooden tray..that gave ne an idea for a gift. its unique and elegant
I love love love love LOVEEEE your design ideas and color.
Love your DIY videos. I appreciate not only your honesty about the projects, but the helpful tips as well. Thank you!
You could also leave the branch completely natural.
The first DIY was mine! Thanks for the support, love your channel!
❤️❤️❤️
love the planter with the faux pearls. def trying that!
I love all of these. I will have to recreate them. Thank you for sharing!
Love your amazing inspirational projects 💕even your attempt of your plant holders❤️ ...yes please more projects
wow the sprayed pearl planter was really really cute. great idea to add speckles to it
The mini succulent decor is so cute! The planters the succulents come in can be cut down to size and used as a sturdier alternative to newspaper. You can also glue newspaper to the planters to get the original look. 😊
obsessed with the branch jewelry holder. I'm doing a makeover for my room and this goes with my aesthetic. thank u!
Whew, There it is 👍👍 gotta get my Drew fix. Thank you.
Love the vase planter and the jewelry branch.
I love the binding technique 😍
Yep, as asked, I’m voting for another one of these. I don’t think I’d get on TikTok, so your channel’s the only place I’d see these projects. You make the instructions and tuition seem really easy and relaxed. With this one, I enjoyed you showing us the fails-the leaning succulent, and the weird green gold paint.
Thanks for a great vid, Drew. Much appreciated.
Btw, the notification for this your latest ep, came up yesterday as ‘private Video’ so I was pleased to see the algorithm had fixed its hiccups so we could watch it! Not complaining, just thought you should know. I in Australia, and I’m not sure whether the message was just for us Aussies. So from Queensland...kudos and thanks
These are cute and easy enough for sure. Thank you!! Yours are better!!
Sooo cute the faux pearls is on my list to try out firstt!!
During the holidays you can put battery powered lights and some little ornaments on the jewelry holder. You can also decorate it for Halloween, Easter or any other holiday that you celebrate.
So much talent💕. Thanks for sharing and not keeping it to yourself 🙋🏻♀️❤️
the last project was soooooo beautiful and yet so simple to make !
Been binge watching you from Kenya and I love your ideas ... I’m doing this on my CZcams .. thanks for the inspiration maahn ❤️
Loved the speckled planter the most!
Hi,
I loved this video, the branch project and the white pot are my favourites. I have kept a round fish tank stored for a long time and thanks to you I will use it. Thank you for giving us great ideas. A big hug.
Love these. Helpful hack-to make your very expensive Diptyque candle (in the background burning like a campfire)🔥 (or for any other candle) last longer, if you trim wick to 1/4” and burn 1 hour for each inch across, it will burn slower and evenly ❤️
Yes! More like this! Plus dancing😀
Love the white. It looks like birch.🌈
I love your minimalist aesthetic. A lot of channels that have new projects start with all new materials. I like how you get use out of the materials you already own, like the stain and concrete. I like that you stay consistent to the look you like and that is easy to reproduce.
If you want to make fridge magnets in the future hardware stores have rolls of magnetic strips that have double face tape and you can cut it to size.
Thanks so much Tracy :) So glad you like my videos and thanks for the tip!
I love the way that you did the hanging shelf! It's really good!
The little paper pots are freaking adorable!
I clicked “like” so fast just purely for coining the phrase “Drew it yourself” you won, Drew you won
Omg your backdrop is so aesthetically pleasing 😫❤️
smashed it again Drew love these!
Love the hanging wooden tray, the loop for securing the knots is so smartass 🤩
Love, love, love your DIYs! I've also learned a few new techniques! Thx so much!
happy valentines lone fox luv yah!!!!
loved the little white dotted planter and the branch jewelry holder.. so cute
Thank you! 😊
I loved!!! The shelf has to be my favorite!!! 😘💕
As usual I love them all. I just did your twine mirror for my sister for her birthday Sunday. She also loves you.
Love you and love your vids. I will watch all your home diy's.
Love this and everything about this channel!!!!!
Aw thanks Brennan ✨✨
Great ideas! Love it! You're the best! 👏👏
These are so frickin cute 😍🌼
I love the planter!!! The black paint spray on it was such a good idea!
I'm obsesseddddddd can't stop watching your videos!! 😭😭😭 I just moved and you're saving my life and my moneyyy !!
Yes do more!!! Love these
Home made midge podge is 2 parts glue to one part water. Some even use 3 parts glue. I think that would have made your containers stronger. I love the idea. I have cactus seeds I am going to use with these. They would also be very cute wedding favors! ❤
Thesee are soo good Drew! I love it.
Always been amazed with your diys love lotss ❤️
❤️❤️❤️
Only good things come from having Drew’s notifs on😌✨
