I created an account on CGI portal for h4 appointment and after submitting visa fees I realized that I have a small error in name which I am unable to correct.
I have submitted query to CGI and they have created a case which says “escalated to post”
It’s been 3 weeks but there is no progress on my case.
Does anyone know if there is another way to overcome this ?? Or how long CGI federal takes to correct the error ???

I think you need to just email to CGI Support email only. But the name actually can't be edited on CGI Portal if they profile is created.
Same issue one other person was also getting, and for her she emailed to CGI Portal and they said, while going for Biometric you can ask the person who is doing Biometric and they can Edit the name.
Hi, I and my family had visa interview (h1 & h4). Councelor officer checked my i797 and our marriage certificate, kids birth certificates. Then she asked if my wife and kids have i797 as well? As you told and other people told in their videos that h4 does not require separate i797 so thats what i told her and she issued 221g that submit an i797 for h4 applicants. Now my employer is saying that separate i797 is not required for h4. What should i do? Can you suggest something?

I am sorry to hear that, as per my knowledge i797 is only issued to H1B applicant and if Visa officer asked H4 applicants for i797, we generally give same i797 that is issued to H1B applicant.
I would suggest take help from any Immigration Attorney, I think you should first check in with your Employer Attorney if they have, and consult your matter and see how you should respond to 221g.
Still if you need any help on this matter, I can try to refer you 1-2 Immigration attorneys, but usually they will be charging for giving any consultation or help.

Anyhow, your videos on h1 and h4 interview were very helpful. My every document was well prepared but thats my luck i still got the 221.

I really don't have idea about that, I think you should consult some Immigration Lawyer, who can give you appropriate advise.
I am engineers and was working in Automobile oem in india as a manager but moved to usa 1 year back as my wife is on H1B.. how much time it is going to take for getting ead and can automobile oem here can sponsor my h1b..
EAD Process will start, once your Wife's employer will initiate the Green Card process for your wife.
It will usually take 2.5 years for overall process.
I don't have much knowledge about Automobile OEM. If you interested in H1B, you need connect with any Immigration Attorney and they can see if your skill set comes under Speciality Occupation and then if it comes, you will need to find any Employer who can sponsor your H1B Visa.

Yeah, you can apply as soon as you get your Marriage Certificate.
You just need documentation that can prove your Marriage, like Marriage certificate, Photos, Wedding card.

I have a question. I received my petition approval notice and soon going to book an appointment for myself and for my wife. She has a very good profession career here in India. She will visit me in US only during holidays and she will make sure not to work while on US soil. Now what should be our answer to VO regarding her plans in USA? Should we explain all this in Interview or should we take some other approach? Not sure if this will negatively impacts on H4 approval.

In regards to your question, VO is not much concerned about career of dependents, like what job they do etc.
So if the question is being asked, you can simply say she will take a break from her work once she flies with you and will join back once she is back to India.

You will find a lot of articles over internet and some may say you can keep earning your passive source of income and some may say you can’t earn on H4.

You can't actively earn if you are on H4 Dependent visa if you are on US Soil.
If you are on H4 Visa, you need to resign from your Indian Company. Don't tell to Visa Officer that you will work remotely.
