I had one of these. Just tried to start a storage charge and the charger started smoking. Also displayed the error "external temp too high" though it's quite cool.
Becarefull you got a short in the circuitboard that the problem
But from the 5 chargers I got this is my favorite and works good but I while opem it up and to check for hot spots
@@HowToDIYRc yeah worked fine for years. Dunno why it burnt now. Ended up buying another and it's fine. Just gotta always watch it while it's charging.

Hello. 😀 Nice video rewiew! I have order me this charger. But want to buy the skyrc 400w duo charger at 200 dollar :) But how Long Will it take to charge a 5500 mah battery with this charger? I mean Skyrc e680.? I have a skyrc e430 now and it take 2 hour:(

Me skyrc e680 is all of a sudden saying’temp too high’ and it’s not charging. It’s stored in a relatively cool room. What’s the problem?
Nice review of this SkyRC Charger. I have the D100 V1 & D100 V2 Chargers and they are great. I think this one would make an excellent first charger. It has a great price especially for having a built-in Power Supply ;-) See you in the Air......after you have charged your batteries ;-)
just love it runs on AC power and just always works just like any other electronics in the house
which one is better D100 v1 or D100 v2. i don't want to spend more than $200.00 usd on a balance charger, could you recommend one of these that you mention or another one. I will be charging 2S & 3S batteries for r/c plane flying and maybe some bigger ones to power my Boomerang R/C buggy car (you've probably not heard of a boomerang but it's a Tamiya)
@@harpoon_bakery162 , the D100 V1 has been discontinued. I still use the D100 V1 and I bought the D100 V2 earlier this year. The V2 is exactly like the V1, it just has a couple of additional features. It has (2) charging circuits so you can charge (2) batteries at a time. You can charge a 1S - 6S LIPO on both circuits. I hope that helps.
Can i charge a 18650 battery with it?

yes that works do make sure your 3s battery can deliver a good amount of Amps high c rating x Mah

I own this one its a good charger for lipo Battery packs but not as good as for the single batteries. Its automatically set the current low when reaching 30% and goes down consistently. The internal resistance is not accurate too and the capacity tester also not good. I capacity test my 26650 but it cannot fully discharge it to its full capacity. Same problems with nimh batteries I tested.
in my opinion. A decent battery charger is as important as a decent battery.. :) Thanks for sharing

Hehe. I Just read your describe! 😀 This looks like a very good charger. So happy i order it yesterday. 🙂 But what most i buy to it if i want to charge my batteries out in the field? A big battery? Or can i use a 12 volt motorcykle battary? I can see if you have link in your describing 🙂
the charger comes with cables so you hoke it up to you car battery
i personally use a 16000mah lipo battery to power it out in the field

Sucks the e680 is a pain to get ahold of in the US. The older e660 is plentiful though.
How fast does it charge battery’s? I got a 60watt charger and takes about 45mins balance charge
all depense on how big and how many cells the battery got but this charger is really good and the best one of the 5 i have
will bangood be opening a warehouse in the USA anytime soon? shipping times are too long currently

veelste veel werk voor zo iets simple het is bijna plug and play
does it have auto-shut-of?
Yes it stop charging when de battery is full and it plays music to let you know it finished running the program
