You should have started with coaches. Huge upgrade there! Almost every holdover is an upgrade over themselves based on coaching alone.
Whoa, that was a brutal dose of reality. Like that moment that the dentist tells you that tooth has to come out, but, there is light at the end of the tunnel. We’re on the right track, I feel it, but, I WANT IT NOW!!! (Don’t we all?)
Did you see this? Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) “intends to block legislation” that would give D.C. greater control over the RFK Stadium site until the Commanders “honor a Native American family that helped design the team's former logo,” Also senate done interview with 106.7 the fan radio podcast
All of this vitriol should have been directed at Dan Snyder. Josh Harris didn't change the name or the logo but inherited them. I would like to see what this politician Daines has really done for Native American advocacy in general, my feeling is this is just a 'look at me' moment for Daines to get some publicity he can use in November at home.
Good analysis although it definitely tempers my expectations. I guess it's really going to come down to the coaching and play calling.

Yes the Commanders are better on paper. Anything is better than last year.

They definitely got more ATHLETIC at Safety but BETTER is going to depend on coaching. They do have better coaches in the secondary.
Tee Higgins will not go to camp until his contract is addressed which leaves an opportunity to get a tall weapon. Having said that, I would roll with Ekeler, Robinson. McLaurin, Dotson, Ertz, McCaffrey, and Sinnott. I would draft a wide receiver in next year's draft to bolster the wide receiver room. We have a lot of targets for just one football and Daniels can always run with the ball. This also saves money incase we have to get an emergency left tackle.
Temporary success gets smaller and smaller with each draft with the draft aces that we have. {knock on wood}
Let's hope our offensive line will be improved. Offensive line should be one of the highest priorities. No one mentioned the Texans had a good offensive line for C.J. Stroud. Defense will be improved. Please keep Jonathan Allen.

David I wish they could have kept Gibson im sure they could have used him better this year. I agree with all you said The coaching staff will fire these guys up, I think the coaches and now the front Office Is a major up grade It will be great to see this tema as it improves I think 7 wins this year. Lets hope they have no serious injuries that will expose there depth. Lets go Commanders

The tight end, linebacker, and interior defense improved. These groups are still average or below the NFL.

Definitely should have kept Curtis Samuel and Antonio Gibson. Maybe Kam Curl too. AG is way more electric than Eckler
I think we all really need to lower our expectations for the season. We are in complete rebuild mode which is the perfect recipe for a poor season.
I disagree with you very strongly on Curtis Samuel and the receiving group. Samuels was forced which is why you think he's so dynamic. Give McLaurin those same opportunities and you'll be singing a different song. Samuel was actually pretty bad on contested catches, unlike his Carolina days. I vividly remember 2 interceptions where Samuel could have played the defender and simply didn't. He fell down too much and took targets away from McLaurin. Mccaffrey can easily eclipse Samuel's 39 rushing yards, 4 touchdowns, and 613 receiving yards. Oh yes and McCaffrey is 6'2" compared to Samuel who is 5'11". UPGRADE!
Just watched half of a deep dive on commanders. I was surprised to see Jayden Daniels ranked 32nd in passing and more criticism than I heard elsewhere on the net about it. The person has a following so his point of view should be considered even if off the cuff I think he is wrong. If considering projected starters passing only i see how someone may think say a vet like jacoby brissette could be considered better than an unknown rookie and that Drake Maye for 2024 won't see the field unless injury. But I am not sure Daniels is going to be the worst passing starter in the NFL (this means excluding his ability to run). What projected starting qb would you rank Daniels ahead.

Sam Howell would thrive in the Kliff spread offense. Although Jayden Daniels is taller, his pocket presence is not that good. He holds onto the ball almost an entire second more. Jacoby is better than Jayden Daniels. Sam Howell is better than Marcus Marriotta. The previous group was betterr.

Offense is still a question because of the O Line. I would say ekler, ertz, and Daniels should be better than what we had last year. Daniels has some talent that Sam doesn’t have and vice versa, but Daniels has the higher ceiling and floor.
