I have caught a feral cat in me coon cuff. But I was using fish oil. After that I just started using dog food. Most cats won't touch it. Great series Dave.
I have been using canned tuna fish for live traps for years and it works great..I just punch a couple of holes in the can and put it at the back of the trap..if you think the caned tuna is drying out just add some water through the holes in the can..

To catch a chicken egg thief after many attempts I found that glueing a string to an egg and run it through the bottom of the live trap and tie it to the bottom of the treadle so when they lifted the egg it pulled the treadle down, springing the trap.
Hey I lose a lot of double long single long double coil but I use jump traps a lot you use jump traps or have you made a video on them I'm just wondering your thoughts on it jump traps are like a single long and a coil combined there's only one spring on one side but it looks like a coil trap I'm going to call jump traps

I have caught a few wild cats in a dog proof but it;s pretty rare. I run pull triggers only but the push/pull triggers will catch more cats for sure.

Just some advice, if you catch a skunk in a live trap. cover it with a tarp or blanket before transporting it.
I've caught a cat once. She was harder to get released than any coon I've let go.
Rabbit boxes are another example of live traps.
Offset coil springs allow the levers to gain higher on the trap increasing a secure hold makes for less damage to the paw or leg.

My brother has caught dozens of coon in dp traps using marshmallows stuck on the trigger.

I swear the coons here in northwestern pa have figured those traps out. They wont even go near them around here now.
