This is a bold attempt to enter the world of the kids and bring them closer to the rich, versatile Carnatic Music that moulds itself and becomes relevant in every situation. It is an enriching experience to see how Carnatic Music can be made relevant in every walk of our lives. Choosing stories from the books of the kids has been such a fun journey.
We have kept the themes simple on purpose - to drive a larger message across. The series aims at giving a musical experience to kids and to the kid in you.

Cup O’ Carnatic is an original web series by Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh launched in 2017 and it has had 5 successful seasons with more than 3 million views cumulatively on social media. The series aims to popularize Carnatic music in general and Veena in particular and each episode handles a specific subject with duration of about 5 minutes or less.
Why the name Cup O' Carnatic? There were a couple of reasons for this. Carnatic Music is a vast ocean and the episodes aim to only give a small glimpse of this world - in a Cup. And the hope is that you'll be able to watch an episode in the time it takes for you to finish a Cup of tea or coffee. Enjoy!

Wonderful mam.. I was a big fan of kumaresh sir and ganesh sir because of them I started learning violin.. But after watching cup o carnatic series I didn't know I became obsessed with you. The love towards music and this innovative thought is mind blowing and u should record this as cds and release it mam..Generations to come should see all this..

My 7 year old son has replaced bed time stories with this series, he tries to pronounce the ragam names correctly and asks me, why do I have to wait till Friday! Why can’t there be a new episode every day. He still watches either of 4 stories everyday. He has developed an interest towards veena and wants to learn from his grandmother now.
