- Dodge has done it again for the Challenger with more Mopar or No Car excitement. The 2021 Scat Pack Widebody is available for the first time as a regular option. Under the fully operational shaker hood is the 392ci V8 that is pumping out 485HP & mated to either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission. Going the widebody route gets you different wheels, upgraded brakes, and trunklid spoiler. On the inside you will still find a well laid out interior with the 8.4in CONNECT 4 system and performance pages. Is the NEW 2021 Challenger Scat Pack Widebody Shaker the muscle car to buy?

If I was going to get a Challenger, this would be it. The thing that's been missing is the shaker hood. This checks all the boxes for me.

I owned a 2018 T/A 392 with the six speed prior to my 2019 Hellcat. I really like the power of the 392. Little more manageable compared to my regular body Hellcat. Even tho my Hellcat is an automatic, it is a lot of power to modulate. Even at close to 70 I can break the tires loose. Will not lie,, It is an amazing car to drive.

I love everything about it. That sexy hood, the matte gray color, the wide body trim. I honestly prefer SRT badging all around and a manual transmission with the SRT steering wheel. I wish they can add that hood to the SRT Hellcat widebody!! Excellent review as always Joe!

My first car was 1971 Challenger I bought used Baby Blue, White Interior, 318 motor , cold ac, what a beautiful car and 16 years old, retiring this year and getting a new 2021 Scat Pact Shaker like in the video just need to figure what color, 50 years later and getting that same excited feeling, go Dodge. !!!

I think the " flat/horizontal " exhaust is a consistent look with the reflectors and the rear taillights; I think this is what Dodge was trying to accomplish. I love the look.

Doesn’t add power it’s functional but if it really added more air you could up,the power 10 hp. I think it’s a gimmick, you also need to take out a piece In the shaker that clogs it

Oh wow, I didn’t know you can option a widebody with the shaker hood. I have a narrow body shaker hood and I love it, but a widebody shaker..looks badass!!
I ordered this exact setup, only difference is I got it with the 6 speed manual other than that my build is identical to this car. I’ve watched this video so many times which made me fall in love with the wide body smoke show shaker.

I have one coming just like this with automatic, black leather seats and a black stripe around the rear end. These will be collector cars, 2023 is the end of these big motors which is a shame, I had one of these 50 years ago 1972 Challenger, I retired in July and this is my treat for working 43 years with the same company.

I’ve owned five challengers (latest was a 2015 Hellcat) and if I get another one, I’m getting this one right here. I’d black out the badging (including those on the shaker). That smokeshow color is AMAZING.

I wish Dodge would update the interior on these cars. I had a Challenger Daytona 392, loved it but the interiors materials and look was so cheap.

If you ask me I would rather have a 1970 challenger T/A. Very simple high performance car without all the modern gadgets.

Challengers seem to be so much more desirable than mustangs even though they have been around since 2008.
They also hold their value much better. Right now a 2010 SRT8 is still going for 30k on some sites

@@Samuel-H yeah I wanted to buy one myself. I wanted a V8 rear wheel drive car at the time and I was lookin at challengers but they was expensive even the 08 R/T. So I settled on 2012 mustang 5.0. I got it 14gs with only 40,000 miles on it. Love the car but I still prefer the style of the challenger more. It just looks like the big daddy of the road lol

Love it!! I Had a 2018 Daytona 392 and it was sooooo Fun ! Wasn’t nearly as quick as my newer cars but it’s an icon of an era , HEMI Power!
There are only 3 things I would change about that car:

No way that is still an in service cop car, Police departments in big cities wouldn't still be running Crown Vics as they are too old. Most departments don't keep their cars more than 5 years and the Vic was last produced in 2011.
