Well, the crowd - most of which are probably her fans - is also very excited to witness Abby Steiner on the track again after being off it for a couple of months. She may have taken time off from the sport because of an injury, but she’s now back and hopefully better than ever!
It’s a good time for a comeback too, what with the Paris Olympics just a few months away. The Dublin track star and world champion has begun to return to form as she eyes Olympic glory in Paris. After bursting onto the world track scene in 2022, Steiner suffered a bone spur in her left heel in 2023 which required surgery. Last year, the 24-year-old finished fourth in the 200m at the U.S. championships but did not compete at the world championships in Budapest due to her injury.

While tomorrow's race in Jamaica is the next step in getting her speed back after injury the mouth watering clash is coming next weekend in the LA Grand Prix when she faces off against Gabby Thomas, Jenna Prandini and, wait for it!, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone. Yes, SML dropped out of the 400mH to run in the 200m. SML is also getting back to full fitness after a long lay-off due to a knee injury
Honestly feel like SML tryna remind everyone who she is. Already certified GOAT in the 400mH. Dropped a 40 fckin 7 split in the 4x400 and now she’s going for the 200m crown

@@hugg724 granted it was 2 years ago. But both Abby and SML are both bouncing back from injury but they were on that same 4x4. Abby did very well, but SML crushed it.

You are almost a month late in publishing this. Is it going to take you until Christmas to finally publish footage from the Olympic Finals, months after everyone around the world has already seen the video?
The thing I love about her is her kick at the end of the race she has a lot of strength to pull away from the other runners.

She ended her season because she didn't qualify for the world championship.only top 3 go to world championship,she didn't give up because because she just signed two million dollar contract,and wasn't about to let that money go,this video is made by someone with little or no knowledge of track and field

Your an idiot. There hasn't been an Olympics for her to qualify in until this yr. 2020 in Tokyo she hadn't made the leap ,she was entering her sophomore yr at Kentucky. At the 2022 worlds coming off blistering NCAA record setting season as well USATF National champion in the 200 at 21.77 she wins 2 gold medals as a critical leg of both the 4 x100 and the 4 x 400. So where exactly does she not cut it given what we now know she was dealing with in 2023 ? The question is rhetorical slick, and if Abby ever decides to refocus and swap out the 100m for the 400m she'll be under 50 seconds the first full season she runs it !! You can bank on it
She won two gold medals at the last World Championships in the relays after a ridiculously long college and then pro season where she had more than 58 races. She won the national USA championships in the 200m that year and then had her injury. The times that she has run in the 200m and 400m are proof of her talent. Yes, the competition for her to make the USA team for Paris is extremely difficult and the USA is full of amazingly talented women, but even if she doesn’t make team in an individual event, she has performed amazingly as a great team mate in the relays, especially the 4x400. She has conducted herself very professionally and always praises her competition.
If anyone is making money it should be her . She is one of if not the best in her sport . Feel sorry for yourself .

Everyone says now that it's her excuse that she & everyone is using but it's just a simple Truth.
Abby had surgery to correct the problem and now she's beginning to show her 2022 self & earlier again, now that she had the surgery.
So everyone, let's just wait to see how this year turns out.

Interesting video. Why? Well, it praised Abby for a 51.58 400 meters, which is freaking fantastic, however, in high school, I ran a 51.1 and placed 5th or 6th. This is why Men’s and women’s competitions MUST BE KEPT SEPARATE.
