Yep she is at 100% building up. Her shoulders look lower than normal.
Terrible hand off
Sprinters need to work on their form, every step of it. Especially Steiner. There is absolutely zero reason to give up ground at any stage of the race because of bad form.
Her times does not even put her in the top 30 best 100 meter runners today, this is just Caucasians being Caucasian.
@@user-qb6fq5xr6b No it doesn't. This is her first 100m run right? And is the 100m a core run of hers as a pro? Probably not, they want to see where she is at.
Remember Abby and Alexis were teammates at Kentucky on their 4x4 that set the then NCAA record. Alexis anchored that team so it says alot about Abby fitness and confidence for her to pass Alexis on the home stretch. Abby is back baby 👏👏
We are just glad Abby is back!!! She lights up the track!
Steiner is looking real good, she is improving a lot and will get better . I’m glad she runs for the US.
Not a great idea that two of the final leg athletes are wearing identical outfits.
Right!!? And they both have the same skin color and both had their hair up. It was basically twinsees out there 😂
Maybe when Pro sprinters, dressed by very different sponsors, run relays, each team should wear matching bandannas, just like Kung Fu Kenny Bednarick.
I think the officials are smart enough to tell they’re different people 🙄
Cant you tell who is who...😵💫
😮😮😮 Abby Steiner 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Abby is one of those kind of people that they perform best when the The lights are the brightest. She'll be fine.
She's back, at least in the relays. Her leg turnover matches what she did in 2022.
Getting out of the blocks is still an issue which hinders her top speed.
Hope she hits her stride soon as the Olympic trials are around the corner.
I would love to see Abby in the Olympics!
She's not good enough for the Olympics.

Shaunae on her return from having a baby received the baton in 3rd place on the 3rd leg & went on to walk down both Abby & Alexis in an impressive 49.60 split which is ominous re what's to come from her in the individual 400m as she chases a historic 3rd consecutive Olympic 400m Gold in Paris! Should also be noted that Anavia Battle (21.95 PB) ran a wind-legal 11.05 (2.0) PB in her 100m opener @Gamecock Invitational just over 10 days ago, but the meet stupidly isn’t on the World Athletics Calendar so its results won’t be on the official WA site. That's a big improvement for the 200m specialist who's been struggling to run faster than her 11.17 PB from '22.
You’d be surprised how many people claim to have a baby yet don’t lose their figure don’t miss a step why because they adopt with that money and power and she has that in her country and they do it here and they do it there but Allison Felix‘s was a real bird because I saw pictures where she’s actually six month belly pregnant I don’t believe will find any of shiny Miller belly pregnant do you we?

Do wr now 10.47 ?
All the way to Barcelona podium please
1:34 - The fact that Abby ran down Team USA’s usual anchor leg for the 4x400 is legit newsworthy. 3:44 - The complete confusion on the hand off shows that pro races need some common uniforms to delineate who’s on what team. The two anchor leg ladies look EXACTLY the same. Also, how many times have we seen Abby make exactly that same pass (3:00) in the 4x400?
Again, this is with a last place start, early in the season for her, and the 100 isn't her specialty.
Not yet mentioned anywhere, Hobbs left a track in a wheel chair in March, and was on Steiner's winning relay team. Good to see her back after that.
But she's never a good starter, so it's not like she suddenly going to have great starts in the hundred. The best you can argue she seems in decent shape for the two
Looking at the final leg baton recipients, they both were wearing very similar black gear & both women had their hair up in a bun-like fashion...AND Steiner was arriving first (except for Miller-Uibo on the outside), so her teammate normally would be on the inside. It wasn't Steiner's fault; it was a mistake waiting to happen.
Not correct…it is her fault. Simply put, while the person in the front usually goes towards the inside lane, it cannot always happen this way due to lane interference. Abby was in lane two while Holmes was in lane one, which means her receiver 100% would’ve gone into the same lane as she. This was a critical error by Abby for so many reasons, but we can let it go…
I noticed this as well. I wonder why teammates wouldn't have been wearing the same colored tops?
You do a great job with your breakdowns and stats.
The fact that Abby couldn't tell the difference between the two black girls in front of her is hilarious to me. To be fair, from the footage they do look very similar both in terms of looks and clothing. A rare comedic moment in athletics history.
Boy you are walking on a knife edge there.
Him unless they are Africans the correct term in this country is African-Americans,,, we don’t say what we say Anglo European descent,,, you could’ve went as far as mentioned that countries as that is definitive,,, I don’t know I’m just trying to be politically correct,,
@@user-lp1jw9bo5y Dude, I am 71 years old, I can't even spell politically correct.
same hair, same clothing. why would they even allow them to run like that? should have switched up shirts. that was ridiclous
I don't know why relay teams don't decide on a color top and wear it! Each runner has on a different uniform on the same team. Very confusing. Just throw on a generic tank of same color! Like pinnies maybe. I don't know ....
Glad to see you healthy, keep up the great work. Kentucky Graduate 1976
Just glad to see her back. Fantastic athlete and all class. Hopefully she stays injury free and peaks at the right time.
11.05 is a very good time for her. Glad she's healthy to start the season.
I think Abby is really putting things in place for a superb season. Her top speed is next level. I think with the benefit of more races and a run of warm weather training she'll run mid 10.9s. Her top speed is sheer turnover, rather than length. So, I'm not sure she can get a much better start without it detracting from her end. The 200m and the relays are another matter.
She's a Pro now, she's gotta break that bad start habit if she wants to compete at a higher level.
Glad to see Abby back!!
This meet was good training for the 200, and while her times for both the 100m and 4x400 weren't mind blowing, they are encouraging for the 200.
What was the point of saying that about her times?
@@sd3564 The point was that she probably doesn't have a bright future as a 100m or 400m runner, but her 200m should be pretty solid. She may be fast enough to be on a relay team, but I don't see her ever winning a championship in a 100m or 400m. However, she definitely has the potential to be a world and Olympic champion in the 200m.

Glad to see that Abby's bone spur operation was a success and that she is able to finish so strong this early in the season! She is now in totally new territory with her professional track career so predicting her new PB's is a crap shoot. It's enough to say that I'd love to see her stay healthy and medal in the Olympics. But to stand on the podium she will have to overcome some very stiff competition that much is for sure!

Well done, Abby! I’ve noticed Tobi Amusan has been running a number of 100 meters flats. I wonder what her plans are? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Whatever her plans were she is realizing that she is going to have to stick with the 100m hurdles.
The 100 isn't even Abby Steiner's race, she is more a 200, 400 specialist.
She will get smoked in the 200 and 400 even worse than the 100 meters.
She's back! Run your race Abby!
Can you do a history/explanation of the NCAA? I am from the UK and have no idea what its about, seems like an important part of T&F in the US
The NCAA is the collegiate sports organization covering college sports teams (National Collegiate Athletic Association). Track and field (Athletics) is one of those sports. There are separate records books for the events when run by college athletes. Abby Steiner ran her 21.7 record when she was a student at the University of Kentucky in 2022(?).
NCAA is just collegiate athletics based in the US.

Remember, everyone, if Bol doesn't trip and fumble that baton, TRP's man-crush doesn't get the WR.
@ScambaiterX I nominate this comment of yours as the most creative way to take a dig at TRP and Matthew Boling at the same time. It might be noted that not only would Matthew Boling not have been in on a world record but the other three members of the USA's 4x400m mixed relay, Justin Robinson, Rosie Effiong and Alexis Holmes also would not have won.
If Bol had not got bowled over Boling's goal of mixed relay gold would have gone cold. If the US had lost the Boling detractors would have had a lot of fun. The US coaches would have taken a lot of flack for letting Boling take the track and the Boling backers would have lacked a defense against a ton of jokes and cracks at the cost of the pink faced one.
What are you talking about?
Man crush?
If Bol can't finish a race, she doesn't deserve to win. She felt Alexis Holmes on her butt coming quick and mentally broke and her form fell apart and down goes Frazier! I love Femke and so happy for her success but apologists want to say she gave it away when I say Holmes took it from her.
@@josephcorcoran8649 Matthew Boling.
@@stevenbrozynski5555 I agree. They don't give awards for "close but no cigar!" However, Holmes did not take it away from her. Holmes did not touch Bol nor push her. Bol fell on her own.
Bol has proven herself to be an outstanding 400m hurdler and 400m flat runner. If Levrone comes out of retirement I'd like to see them face off again in either of those two events.
Yeah she came back strong good luck to her

Holmes technically passed Bol, but be honest: Bol fell. Side note: Steiner's arm swing looks better this season.
Last month ran 4x against Holmes and Bol Won 4x, quite easily.
Agreed on arms, clearly. Starts still suck though :(. But I see her ultimately as a 400m runner who has a great top speed

Her, Athing Mo and Sydney plus Holmes. 4X400 Olympic champions!
Athing Mu specializes in the 800. Prandini, Terry, Jefferson are others for the 4x100 along with Steiner. The US is very deep, so I wouldn't try to pick the 100 or 400 relay athletes, but unless there's a bad pass, the US will get gold in both.

Can someone explain how the lineup is arranged for relays. Is the inside given to whoever’s in first place at a certain point on the track.
Yes. Whoever leads at 200. Abby forgot this in the heat of battle.
@@terraflow__bryanburdo4547 Switches are made after 200 meters all the time, many times with the track officials getting involved in the order of the line up. Abby was clearly in the lead for quite a distance and her teammate should have been on the inside. Also if you have ever run in a 400 meter relay you are very tired at the end and it's the job of your teammate to get your attention in a confused situation like that in the hand off zone.
