Walk to Wancho Raja's House | Wakka Village| Longding| Wancho House |

Wancho-one of the major tribes of Arunachal Pradesh are mostly found in state’s Longding district.
The newly open tourist circuit in Arunachal Pradesh for Longding district from Dibrugarh- Kanubari-Longding will definitely boost the local economy though tourism.
Hitherto unknown, unexplored this district will soon be in tourists’ bucket list because the distirct has great potential in the field of tourism.
Here is a Vlog based on my visit to Wakka, one of the main destinations in Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh.
From Tissa to Wakka, it is around 55 kilmotres. The road condition is so-so but during my visit road was being repaired at many stretches.
The hills will mesmerize you. The locals here mostly speak their native dialect-Wancho. Few of them speak Hindi and Assamese but younger generation is fluent in English and Hindi languages.
We met many people during our visit to Wakka, Many of them were too shy, and they did not want come in front of my camera. Yet many were friendly and frank.
Though we did not reach the main Wakka town. We wanted to meet the Raja of Wakka village but unfortunately he was not present when we visited his House.
Though there is a a motorable road to reach his house but we thought taking short cut route would be best option and started walking but we were wrong.We had to stuggle a lot to reach his house. But it was a memorable walk.
Fortunately I met a class XII student on our way to Raja’s house, and he helped us a lot during the entire visit. When we reached Raja’s house, one of the Ranis came and interacted with us.
Here, I got an opportunity to witness the tribe, their houses; their housing pattern,and little idea about Raja system among the Wanchos.
I wanted to see more, I wanted to show you more inside the house! But due to non availability of power supply at the time of our visit I could not show you things clearly.
By the way internet facilities is also there in Wakka provided there must have power supply.
Reaching back to main road was more exhausting as it was uphill. This was a memorable journey to Wakka village and I know this experience will remain for long time in my memory.

Longding wancho should not speak the foreign language (hindi) 😢. Its not match with main lane india nor your culture are very very different. Wancho people have some common unique dialogue apart from hindi like nagas( wancho) dialect nagamess that would be more lovely. 😊
