Getting More Low - Cobra Suspension HAS [ BMW M2 G87 ]

- The KW lowering kit was amazing, ride quality was on point. One downside was that it was not low enough. So I decided to get the Cobra Suspension HAS kit from @AUTOIDTV and replaced the KW HAS.

Cobra rides just as compliant as the KW.
The cobra suspension is a lot better than the regular suspension that it had and I like it it’s really cool that BMW G 87 M2 with 460 hp and that was one really sick and amazing video

Are the HAS systems (either of them) more stiff than the OEM springs?
Not significantly stiffer. I was genuinely surprised. In comfort it feels just as good as OEM sport from what I remember. It’s very compliant. Likely the same as the M-performance HAS kit.
Were you able to reuse nuts/bolts between installs or did you need to get new ones from BMW?
Yeah, same bolts were used. 😃

What’s the drop meant to be on the cobras?
Up to 45mm front and 30mm rear
Love the color choice I have the same car coming with the carbon pack but in 2024 model year. The reasoning, why the BMW, OEM and the KW don’t sit is low is help prematurely blowing out your stocks. I ordered my car with the M performance height, adjustable spring kit. And the maximum lowering on that is 20 mils and that is to prevent the car from hopping down the road skipping over pavement and being very sloppy feeling overtime and it’s also warranted under Bmw. I personally think that you were going in the wrong direction and spending all this money on these generic kit that you just purchased. My suggestion is if you’re going to go this low, just go ahead and invest in a KW variant suspension kit.. yes, you will lose in the end car adjustability, but least you will have a proper handling vehicle. I could tell from the front of the video that your car is bouncing already down the road. As we all know it’s a balancing game right when you’re dealing with a stock suspension do you want that sexy lowered look… you are risking ruining your car suspension system until you get a proper set up. But love the wheel setup good choice keeping the double staggered.

I appreciate your input about the springs. Not I didn’t loose $$ on the springs that I replaced. These mods get picked up quickly by folks who are wanting to do the same thing.
This is all an experiment for me, if I was keeping the car for a long time, I would definitely do coilovers 🙌😃 I am with you on that.
You’re not worried about blowing out your stock shocks and struts being that low?
Not really. It’s not that much different to how low M-Performance springs. I don’t drive it daily to be an issue 😅🙌😃

how many MM did you lower the front and the back?
Also! do you have spacers on stock width tires? If yes what are the the front/back spacers size?
For the suspension: I went max low of what’s mentioned on the spec

For spacers with stock wheels: I had 15mm spacers up front and 18mm out back
With aftermarket wheels I am not running spacers. Although I did try 3mm and 5mm
