Lily Collins is the most respectful person. She obviously knew that Liz’s story is profoundly private, and respected every aspect of her life.
Joe did not making this movie to glorifying the killer but its the story from Liz perspective. She been manipulated for years. I wonder why so many people don't understand that.

Because people are not used to being exposed to stories told by unreliable narrators. Also, audiences these days are not used to being challenged and to think about anything in complex terms.
This movie was extremely well done and not at all in bad taste. Zac's acting really blew me away. The road he chose to do this flick can only end with a little gold Statue!!

I think zac efron is the first actor ive ever seen act so well. when i was watching this movie for a second i genuinely thought that ted bundy could have been innocent because of zac efron's acting. when he acted as bundy, where he kept saying that he wasn't guilty and that he was being framed, his acting was so convincing and he just seemed like he understood bundy and really knew the man. i was blown away by the acting in this movie, and i feel that it is incredibly underated.
Watch Psycho. Anthony Perkins did such a great job specifically in that sense.
The cast for this movie is great. I love how they explained the movie in this interview, made me think more about how people aren’t always as they seem.

this movie was one of the best i watched. zac efron’s acting completely blew my mind, he showed every aspect of ted; the charming guy, the compulsive liar and evil.
I remember leaving work and watching zac jump out of our courthouse window next door. super cool to watch such an amazing movie filmed right in my small town.

The writers and director did an excellent job of depicting Ted's charm and likability, and the way he painted himself as the victim.
I caught myself feeling sorry for him in this movie (which I quickly reminded myself that he was indeed lying). However, it got me thinking about how the actual Ted Bundy was able to do that exact thing while moving through trial up until his execution. He knew he didn't "look or act like a killer" so he played to that and truly thought he would get away with it.
This movie was absolutely amazing. The cast and crew did such a great job.

Ted Bundy was for sure not glorified in this at all. I think he was portrayed very well. He was a charismatic and charming man back then and that was honestly part of the reason he got away for it for so long. I'm glad this movie was made.

True story though that everyone has to be more careful about who they are friends with. I went for coffee with someone I knew from work, I thought pretty well. Enough that I could trust to go with them on a break to the coffee shop. Couple weeks later he wanted to go again and I didn't and he changed.. I saw it and refused to get in the car and he sped off. Haven't seen him since. Really felt like maybe had I gone, I might not have been returned that time. Scary.

Even during the movie.. I couldn’t tell if he killed those girls. He was that charming. It just goes to show you anyone can be someone horrible now matter how nice and charming they seem. It could be your neighbor of 10 years!
Great panel!! Always loved Smith’s passion for filmmaking, he always has great insight from being a filmmaker himself but also great questions simply as a movie lover like so many of us. I just watched this movie yesterday and I was very impressed! Zac was great as Bundy, and I’m glad that they didn’t glorify the violence like he said, this was clearly a very different type of creative angle on this guy that Zac brought and it worked. I really enjoyed the rest of the cast as well everybody was spot on and their performances were excellent. This was a film that was brought to fruition with great care to shift the focus away from the gruesomeness and instead focus more on the victims and their point of view. I applaud the director for choosing this route, it was a clever angle but also a great choice imo. Congratulations to the team behind this film!

This movie was excellent, an entirely new take. Every other Ted Bundy movie never shows how women were fooled by him, I had no idea how charming he was.
The only thing I think I'll have a problem with in this movie is the soundtrack. I don't agree with it at all.. Judging by the trailer, I've a feeling this is gonna be the norm for this movie. The soundtrack sets the tone of the movie (look at Carpenters Halloween, for example) and if it's wrong then the whole movie feels wrong. I wish it could be eerie music, not Rock 😂
