Zac seems so scared of saying the wrong words. He’s usually so smooth but he’s definitely thinking about what he says here. I don’t blame him, if you mess up with Ted Bundy you mess up for good.
I agree.
I think a lot of it comes that the victims' families are still alive. It'a far too easy to say something that may be miscontrued and then becomes a carrer ruiner headline.
I totally agree
@@charlottesreadsthings211 That's a good point, didn't even think of that.
100% agree!! It seems like he's a bit intimidated by Lily because she's so eloquent and smart, and you can tell she geeks out on the roles she plays. Zac did so so good in that movie, I hope he knows that.
Aside from his superstardom, I always felt he never got the recognition as an actor because of his teen idol hearthrob image. Looking forward to this for sure.
That’s the exact reason why Johnny Depp left 21 Jump Street
Hey played ted Bundy brilliantly! Got to show that he is an incredibly talented actor, not just a teenage heartthrob. Just brilliant.
Horacio Nelson He had to break out of the bro-comedy phase as well
I really liked him in 17 Again. He had great comedic timing and charisma there.
Frfr! Even in Haorspray some people slet on it because when was cast in it but totally NAILED the role!!
Seems like a genuine human being here. I can tell by the way he’s searching for the right words to say.
Definitely.
Almost too genuinely good to be Ted. But he did well.
i was scared that everyone would just be like wow zac is so hot in this movie but he played this role so well i completely forget it was him and even partially thought ted was innocent like this was chilling but incredible
Caitlin Laing omg that’s so true I really questioned him being innocent too
@Mari Solara Sameeeee. But I bet that's what it really felt like for a lot of people and especially Liz.
Yes!! Up until he wrote on the glass in prison... that made me have chills.
I'm going to be honest, I was skeptical about this movie because I only ever saw him as the "teen heartthrob," but I'll be damned if he didn't do an amazing job.
That was probably the point. We weren’t watching the movie from the point of view of Ted or any of his victims; we were watching it through Liz’s. And she didn’t think he was guilty until well after it had been ruled he was. And apart from a few hints dropped here and there throughout the movie, there aren’t any indications of Ted’s guilt either. Because that’s how intelligent and skilled at manipulation Ted Bundy was. You know it’s weird. There’s not a single rape scene in the whole movie and only part of one murder scene, shown at the very end. With someone as prolifically horrible as Ted Bundy you’d think they’d put at least a few scenes like that into his biopic. But that’s not how a lot of Bundy’s target demographic (young women) saw Bundy at the time. They saw him as a handsome, intelligent boy next door type who was a victim right up until he wasn’t. So that’s the progression the movie follows. The scariest villains aren’t the smartest, or even the most accomplished at their deeds (even though Ted was both of those). The scariest villains are the ones you never know are there.
Both Zac Efron and Lily Collins are so convincing as Bundy and Liz it doesn’t even seem like they’re acting
ik!! it seems like a reality show kinda
Perfect in their roles!
I just finished watching the movie on Netflix. Very chilling and believeable. Both of them killed it. No puns. Zack was incredible
I felt the same way. I was scared to watch it but it was really good.
lilly was too wtf
Zac did as good a job playing Ted Bundy as any great actor could. I def have a whole new respect for him.
Why is it not in my netflix but?
aysia anysha, netflix hasn’t made it available for latin america, apparently it’s not going to as well
He did an AMAZING job as Ted Bundy in this movie. He did a good job of tapping into Bundy's bipolar disorder, specifically his manic episodes. Loved every second of this movie. I also really appreciate that they got THE Elizabeth Kloepfer's permission to make the movie.
I was honestly really scared this movie would romanticize Ted, since there’s already a number of young girls who obsess over murders and having a teen heart throb play Ted would only further it. But this movie was so well made. You never really think about how the people in Ted Bundy’s life was affected BY his choices. This movie showed how he destroy Liz’s life and how much she was one of his victims as well. They both did amazing
The movie did come close to romanticize Bundy, but thankfully the ending halt that move.
Why do girls obsess over serial killers?
Rendroc honestly know clue
Rendroc I have no idea. It’s pathetic tbh
@@amberlynnsgiganticneck5948 women are often the overwhelming demographic of victims that fall to serial killers, it makes sense to want to pick apart the why.
As a human, he cannot portray respect for the TB.
As an actor, he cannot portray disrespect for TB.
Props to Zac for handling this role and interview so well.
Agreeing with the comments, Zac was really amazing and his performance blew me away and creeped me the hell out when his eyes are shown on camera!
@Hannah Baillargeon ik! he actually got the crazy killer look
Hopefully zac win the Oscar somethings like that,
He didn't get nominated! 😢😭
Zac did an amazing job, he is so so talented and he literally deserves to be rewarded for portraying this monster so convincingly well. Just by looking at both trailers, he gave me the chills. It's gonna be an epic movie, can't wait!!
Zac Efron played amazing. It was insane for me. To play Ted Bundy that good man please. Put some respect to Zac Efron. He is amazing.
Can't believe I live in a time where Zac Efron shamelessly plugs his youtube channel in an interview 😂
I knew what was going to happen going into it, but I have to say the last scene that Zac is in... Deeply deeply unsettled me. I watched this yesterday and I still feel uncomfortable and honestly terrified. Amazing performance by both of them, I really hope awards are won for this.
Yep, I had to watch it twice to get over the feeling. I'm so glad they left out the violence. They weren't glamorizing him, this really showed how evil he was.....
Oh wow I should watch it soon then.
The ending was epic.. He scared me
HACKSAW
*2:37** Dang Zac Efron don’t you know to silence your phone before doing an interview* 😂
hahaha I thought my phone went off at that part but your comment helped me realize it was his 😂
hello fellow voldemort😂
The struggle is real. Actors often talk about the strain of playing monstrous characters. It can take a toll on your mental and physical health.
What I most enjoyed of watching the movie was the perspective the director took. Because while watching it you can't tell (or at least I couldn't) if Ted was innocent or guilty, was until the end when you know (the ones who already watched it) he writes in the glass...you know what. Great great perfomance of Zac's role.
P.S. The last words in the movie gave me chills.
Yes. The movie focuses on the psychology of the people involved.
P.S. end was brilliant
He playsd so well as Bundy. Like I'm surprised. He has a lot of talent, and I bet he has more roles in his career. Hes doing great
Just watched the movie... One of his best performances.. I suggest everyone to go watch it
I have done research on Ted Bundy for quite some time . This look at Bundy and his relationship with Liz brought a dimension to Ted that was more terrifying . because people can now see that besides being a monster , he actually felt love , was loved , and spent time as an everyday normal person . Zac Efron went way above what I thought he was as an actor to achieve this .I don't know if anybody noticed this but Lilly Collins the actress who plays Liz looks , EXACTLY like Brenda Carol Ball who Bundy killed on June 1 1974 . Her skull was found on Taylor Mountain . Bundy had severed her head with a hacksaw . HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE !
I love zac. Obsessed with his CZcams channel. Love how down to earth he is. He seems so humble.
Megan guthrie I’m in love with zack and Jonas brother!!!
Watching Zac right now on Netflix. I hope to God he wins an award for his role as Ted Bundy. This was a herfric crime. The movie did it in very good taste. The guy who did the movie did it so well.Zac is a fine actor , Great movie for what its about.
I love that they went for the psychological aspect rather showing the murders because to me I feel like showing the slashings is romanticizing what happened. I can’t imagine what the families would do if they accidentally came across a scene where their loved one got murdered. It was a good approach to make us feel like we are witnesses at court from that time to experience Bundy’s evil.
The film was acted so good, they all play the roles near perfect
I have never been a fan but after these interviews I find him really well spoken and you know he knows what he's doing so yeah.
I thought my own phone went off at 2:38 😂
At the end of the movie my mom and i looked at each other and we were genuinely scared. I have always loved Zac as an actor but seeing him play a real scary person that existed in real life was just insane. He made me genuinely believe 1) he was Ted and 2) he was innocent. I can tell by this interview alone that Zac just was scared because he wanted to do it justice but also not glorify him. In the end in his confession to liz he was genuinely trying to separate himself from Ted. You could see his emotions were not acting they were real emotions.
I just finished the movie. It's nice seeing normal Zac again
I've seen it three times already. One of the best films based on a serial killer.
Zac did such an amazing job in this role. It was truly chilling to watch. But props to him and Lily, amazing, amazing job.
Zac Efron Is Awesome I'm So Excited He Play Ted Bundy Can't Wait To See The Movie ! :)
The film was amazing and the way Zac even looked like Bundy with the looks he gave it was so spot on it was like it was Bundy xx
Watching it again and once again blown away by how well zac portrayed this role
Little troy Bolton is all grown up y'all and I'm here for it
They were both excellent ... I never knew he was such a great actor !
I was never a fan of Zac before his stunning portrayal of Bundy.. remarkable acting job!!
Wow! He could actually pass as Ted Bundy's son!!!
Yes!!
I saw this movie last night, wow. Having lived in seattle around 1991, I was intrigued by the river killer and Bundy as well.
Just watched the trailer and you did that zack u played his part good and yeah that's a seriouse somebody to play the part of
I just finished watching this, he did a phenomenal job. He was amazing in Paper Boy too. I hope he has a long career.
I can’t unsee him as Ted Bundy
Sac did such a good job playing Ted Bundy like honest to god like amazing
Zac Efron has a CZcams channel ... ? Subscribed! 🎆
it was one of those movies where tensions were so high, the adrenaline was off the charts and yet still you couldn’t look away
Wow! I love him🌺💘❤️🌻
Todavia veo a Zac como Troy 😫😫 Pero en esta interpretación lo hizo tannn biennn!! 👏🏻👏🏻 Bravo
How much him and Bundy look alike is crazy
When i saw the trailer and it was zac effron....i was happy and said ok zac show everyone what you can do
The subtle facial movements were impressive very good acting
I've been putting this movie off for a while now.
The Bundy tapes messed with my mind. But now I'm going in
he was so great in the film👍💕
This was good! Knew Efron would be great
I think he’s underrated. He did a good job with the role.
Great movie. Glad you took a role that was different from your usual role.
Love the movie.. great job Zac and Collins
Zack is an amazing freaking actor and this film is a great representation of this. Please zack do more drama films. You would become a heavy weight icon in film if you did.
You did great !!
Maybe a tv show or films may be up his alley. I'm sure there is plenty of material about to work with. it's always something to explore, for any genre. I, myself, have explored some areas here, and that's a story... but then I decided there were other things that needed to be done. So the material sits; and maybe one day I will get back to it. SO, if I CAN do it, you know Zac would kick butt! but maybe music or some stage production style, or other would be of more interest to him. There are so many available options. And it doesn't matter what direction - there is always tons to be explored more deeply. Go Zac! Anything would be great material to see from him.... You can always see the bare talents shining through. - Truly remarkable, in any fit! A real all- rounder, as they say.
Tbh I love seeing movies like this because I get to know more about these killers and what went through their minds into becoming them and their life before they started killing. And watching this movie i tell u i loooovvveeeedddd it and it takes a true brave actor to react step by step playing the role of the same person their playing
I CAN'T WAIT 💖
We're all in this together
Dreams come truueeeeeeee
- high school musical
Zac Efron did phenomenal 💕💕💕
Why is the interviewer only interviewing Zac? Wished he also asked Lily some questions.
He does, but its cut into other CZcams videos
Oh ok. I didn't know that. Thanks!
first time i noticed zac as an actor. Good job
He's so cute about his YT channel
I Love Zac, I wanna see dis!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
i love Lilly so much so pretty !!
He's Very Handsome Too 💘💖💟
He's very Scared To play Ted Bundy
I was really glad that he did this. All his films (no fault of his own) seem to be about his body and taking his shirt off. But he did this one good. Showing that someone as "normal" as Ted can be this disgusting monster. And he is very nervous here. I think he knows that this is a big effing deal and that maybe even victims families or friends will watch this. He knows this is a very sensitive topic.
After watching this movie the cute and charming image of him in hsm vanished from my memories 😂 i terribly scared of that movie and i remember i read the book as well, i got chills everytime he smiles ngl 😂😂 and i think that just shows how much of a good actor zac is.
This was SUCH a role and he did it amazingly, i wish he'd keep exploring roles in the future, good luck zac
And lily is definitely one of my celebrity crush ever how can a woman be this gorgeous gahfhdh
i love how zac evolved. loved the movie. besides Michael Reilly Burke. zac did an excellent job.
when does the movie comes out ?
Today.
He was great at this role, great actor
No one else could have done it better than Zac
Just saw this movie it’s soo good!!
Ohh No Efron Really Fellas🙊 Don't mess With Him ❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕
I didn't really think the movie was that well made but I think zac portrayed him really well. And lily is such a beautiful girl. She was great in the movie as well. I guess they were trying to play up the fact that Ted Bundy was such a likable guy everyone had a hard time believing he committed these crimes, it just focused on his interaction with his girlfriend and court appearances. I was disappointed.
Rebecca Massey it just focused on his girlfriend and courts because it was from Liz’s perspective and she wasn’t there for the rest of it
@@anaalcaraz4937 yeah that was exactly the point of this particular film, the same director also has a documentary based on the crimes themselves. To analyse how he was such a "normal" charming bloke makes it the more terrifying.
He did such a great job!
He did excellent in this role, he should be proud! Can’t imagine how stressful it would be to take
on such a role. People pick apart true crime
movies so much. Also he is so easy on the eyes! 😏
Ya he still looks so funny and goofy in extremely wicked... but lily is great
oof I am excited to see this !! 5 more days till it comes out. can’t wait !!
He really played well.
Love zac, amazing actor
sneaky little shout out to his youtube channel lol I see you zac I see you
I was really scared to watch it, but it was a well done movie. I had no idea the ex girlfriend called him in to the cops and was the reason he was identified, well before DNA was possible to prove a case... witnesses were huge, back then...
She actually called the police twice, but wasn't taken seriously by the police. She asked her father to help her talk to the police, because she felt like they would take a man more seriously than they would a woman, but he refused to help her. He took Ted's side.
he did an Amazing JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!
High School Musical you created a monster!!! lol seriously its creepy how well he played Ted Bundy.
lily is so beautiful
YOU NEED TO RELEASE ME!!!
you can see some of the character mannerisms still with him, poor zac he seems scary to me still lol of course I know better but it still 🥺
Zac was awesome in this role, very believable
Почему без перевода????
I can't handle Lily's face everytime Zac looks at her she nods her head 🤣
What's weird about that man, she's just agreeing with what he's saying.
@@Cyba_IT it's just a joke I mean that MAN means the world to me and I thought it was quite funny how only when Zac looked at lily she nodded so yeah
Lily collins looks very beautiful. ☺☺
zac has really grown. hope he becomes the next night wing
Good acting job for sure.
Zac: explaining himself in a humble way
porcelain Japanese doll sitting next to him: Its just funny that...
I don’t want to sound sick, but that alternate version zac mentioned (the retelling of teds crimes) would have made a MUCH more interesting film in my opinion. Or maybe just a blend of the two film ideas would have been better. I found the film incredibly boring and I just couldn’t keep my attention on it
I need a calm lily collins in my life
I think he was scared how well he captured the character
