I confirm You do not need To EXCHANGE The spacers, just remove the handle grabber and put back the OEM screws and attach either the COWL to r rear seat.

Everyone inclusive the instructions tell you to change the SPACERS (in your video, you did not) and I also installed without changing the spacers and without removing the the side/rear faring...it was easy and perfect...WONDER WHY people are removing side fairing and changing spacers...
I have a question please. Do you need to change the TWO spacers when you remove the handle? At 4:01 MINUTES on your video, you installed the cowl without changing the SPACERS, is it ok? Thanks for the video.

Spacers are needed for the firm fitting of fairing in long run I guess. But it does work even if you did the way it is shown in the video.
