I think she needs to do a lot of work on herself if comments from stangers on the internet can bring her to tears. Like I get it, the comments can be annoying and shocking, but those are people who have no idea who she is, she will never meet them; 99% of them are lonely, depressed, and probably one negative life experience away from taking themselves out.

I think she managed the first video badly, but it was not her fault entirely since she didn't think that video was something they needed to rehearse. The main problem seems to be her reaction after the surge, the little tap on his arm, the scratching on his head, the locked on eyes on the camera seemed almost like she didn't mean it and was looking for people to viralize her video. I know is a very simplistic way to put it, but I think that't what happened there, that's the cringe, if she managed to make it look a little bit more natural people would've been more supportive.
I think the worst thing you can do by going on the internet is trying to go popular by chance, luck or intentionally but without a plan, people is going to put you down if you don't take care of your content. Even the most ludacris youtubers that created goofy characters as their internet persona have some sort of plan. the thin line between cringe and cool is sincerity. if a different video of someone genuinely becoming happy for pancakes may go viral because its so natural and sincere. when someone creates a fake scenario and acts excited it becomes so cringe. (for the record i thought both were weird and a little cringe because they seems disingenuous) take for example that skating guy with the cranberry juice. it went viral cuz it was just so sincere and relatable and not trying too hard, if at all. hell its why charlies content is so good.

People are not responsible to internet. Whether it's cringe for likes or the horrible comments, social media was no doubt the worst thing to ever be invented. The only thing it did to bring us together was to collectively hate each other. That and it seems like all the worst people that are internet famous can say or do horrible things and nothing happens. They keep their platforms, they continue to be successful and no responsibility was taken. Social media is so toxic and I do not blame people for taking breaks and staying off of it completely

I think we react to cringe so strongly because it's so relatable. when someone does something actually awful, there is more often a layer of disconnect (being that you have never been the victim or the abuser in a situation so it doesn't hit you as hard)

Maybe people had to have been there at the time, but it should be remembered that Dean, who had been polling 1st in Iowa (and in the whole race) for months, lost momentum at the end and came in 3rd place in the final tally; then he gave the "scream" speech to his Iowa crowd, after a disappointing finish, which is why people felt it was bizarre-after all, why would you give "victory speech" energy when you came in lower than expected? (Though, looking into the situation, the reason he seemed "too energetic" was actually because the media microphones weren't picking up the crowd's volume that he was shouting over, thus making him seem like he was shouting over near-silence.) Anyway, he didn't lose the nomination over that scream, because he arguably already lost his chance with that third place finish; while there's an argument that the media's over-replaying of that scream cost him New Hampshire the next week, the writing was already on the wall that Dean was done and Kerry/Edwards were the new front-runners.

I feel like it has much to do with insecurity. We cringe more at what we know we've done or seen personally done in the past, i.e. doing something embarrassing on stage or otherwise in front of people you don't know. Natural human conformity combined with the anonimity of the internet can be a vile compound. Cringe is everywhere. It is the inevitable byproduct of sincerity. At least in that second video it is. In the first video, it was a slightly misguided attempt at making something relatable, and the second video was a purely innocent display of a very odd personal display of affection. Not the worst thing in the world, and somewhat embarrassing, yes, but ultimately, no one is hurt and no one is even inconvenienced. Nothing says you can't share weird love online as long as it's not explicit.

We have people like Dale Wilson getting away with so many stuff. Straight up doxxed people, and it was revealed that he dated a 17 year old girl when he was 29.
Yet, he seems to be more popular than ever because of his memes. While completely ignoring how narcissistic he really is.

It also reminds me of the sorbet incident. A lot of jerks form both Twitter and TikTok have harassed and doxxed the Japanese idol group into quitting social media entirely just because they thought they were cringe and attracting creeps. Hasanabi had also claimed that they were cringe, and even made fun of their idol group dances, accents, and stereotyping them as Korean.
Meanwhile, the same TikTok community that harassed some idol group of girls who just wanted to have fun would be the same community who would fall in love/idolize with Devon Erickson, the 2018 Colorado school shooter. They made tons of edits and videos begging for his freedom, despite being a convicted felon.
The fact that a homicidal maniac is cherished and loved, while 3 kindhearted idol girls get bullied into obscurity just shows how doomed we are as a society.

I think…you might be following the wrong people? I don’t follow anyone who idolizes ab*sers lolol that is a personal choice sir 😂 the circles you run in will support whatever narrative, you need to find the folks questioning that. Also Hasan might laugh at cringe but he’s critical of ab*sers, so you were confused when you used that comparison.

This is like that talent show episode of SpongeBob where the crowd overreacts to Squidward's bad dancing by throwing tomatoes in outrage and disgust in little more than 10 seconds!

Genuinely, I believe that couple has a lot of love for each other. That's great for them, I absolutely love that. Never show the internet that. The internet can be hateful as all get out. Sometimes, it's warranted, but most times it's this

Oh definitely!! That’s why somethings in relationships have to be kept in private. And although the love surge thing was maybe a little cute or whatever, it just feels way too awkward and cringey with an audience of any kind even if just one friend was witnessing it. Some things are just meant to be done and kept in private

      I agree.
A lot of healthy couples who post things on the internet often expose themselves to very hurt or misguided people that love to wander the internet and project their very unhealthy views onto their posts.
For instance, many people on the internet cannot comprehend the idea of trusting your partner and the fact that cheating does not happen in every relationship. Or that some girls genuinely dislike the idea of cheating in general, they've been too hurt to acknowledge that not everyone is the same.
It's very bizarre when you've been exposed to many good and healthy relationships and see people genuinely believing they don't exist.
