  • The British capital London is known for its historic buildings. In recent years, however, new skyscrapers have been changing the skyline. One of them is in the city's financial district. The so called "Walkie-Talkie" building is infamous for its curved design and its sky garden. However, the futuristic high-rise has sparked discussions for another reason. Shortly after its construction, unusual things began to happen around it...

Great video. If you want to stay on track for 10 million subscribers next year it's handy to always mention what units (i.e. Celsius) you are using for a certain measurement and then list the equivalent value in the inferior units on the screen 😅

I like the look of the Walkie Talkie building - note we don't call anything like this a 'house' :)
OK, as we found the design was flawed, but it makes sense to build out at the top to get more floor space than there is on the ground. That said, I also like the Gherkin and Cheesegrater. It's the Shard on the South Bank that I find ugly and almost intimidating. It makes me think of the building in 1984 - I think it was the Ministry of Truth shaped a bit like a pyramid.

Not only is the architect a man of bad taste, arrogance and foolishness, but he is also unable to accept responsibility for his incompetence. A terrible selfish man who is now gone... but leaves behind an eyesore the people of London must suffer from every single day. Hopefully one day it will be torn down and the materials be recycled for something useful.
