This was their first uk single. They went on to sell more than 70 million albums. Fantastic live.
Absolutely love Oasis❤
Fantastic live until about 1997
My band. And they were great far beyond 97, that’s just music media hype. Best band since the Beatles.
@@nez9751 only a musical philistine would think that unfortunately.
@@IntoTheWhite04 nah that’s bollocks but never mind
This is 100% a UK classic 👍🏿
You should stick with more of these guys. They have so many hits that never made it across the pond ( Bar Wonderwall which is average at best ). Their B-Sides are better than their A-Sides a lot of the time.
I disagree, Wonderwall is a great song, but it's just too overplayed and it is mid-tier in the Oasis back catalogue (maybe that's what you meant?).
Oasis were massive in the '90s and continue to enjoy popularity today. The band centered around two brothers, Noel Gallagher, the primary songwriter, and his brother Liam Gallagher, the lead singer. They held a concert at Knebworth in 1996 where over 2.5 million people applied for tickets. I highly recommend checking out the performance of "Slide Away" from that show.
Greatest band that ever existed. They’re from my neighbourhood too 😎 oasis will always be the soundtrack to my childhood and all the way up until now, I’m 35 and still obsessed.
Me too and I’m 50
Nice one mate! This could be my favourite tune ever… not sure, but it’s definitely in my top 20 Oasis tunes! This band is incredible
I thankfully had the pleasure of seeing them in Perth Australia in around 2008 I think it was and the brothers must have been getting along cos the show was one of the best I’ve seen. Sadly will probably never see them as a group again.
Oasis were HUGE over here 🇬🇧 in the 90s .Check out Oasis- Live forever (Live at Maine road) 🔥

Oasis were the sound of my teens. had every album amd listened to them constantly. they have so many absolute top songs you will have plenty of material to get through
Fun fact this song turned 30 years old a few days ago
"The only thing about this is that it's a UK band"😂 okay how about Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Motorhead, Black Sabbath, The Who, The Police, The Sex Pistols, The Clash. All UK bands I could go on but you get my point❤️
And St Winifreds school choir supergroup. How remiss! Miss you grandma
Oasis were really popular here in the UK, Cast No Shadow was my favourite by them.
Yeeee I love that song
It was dedicated to Richard Ashcroft of the verve way before they were famous.
Mine was "Little by Little" !
Oasis probably one of the most interesting bands ever 2 brothers who despise and also love each other, and also Liam Gallagher (the singer) is probably one of the most unique characters in all of music I’d recommend this video czcams.com/video/vabhO6NH_AQ/video.htmlsi=7aWjhaMfvXN_epCX
Or this czcams.com/video/PKWzHe4Hl5A/video.htmlsi=E9XCPygt2F5ywfAH
This is my fave from Oasis. The brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher. They actually hate each other and throw hella shade on social media all the time. It’s kind of funny to watch. Love me some Oasis.
✌🏻❤️from Texas
Right hooligan song❤
When you say "but they OLDER band". Bro, you over 40! You KNOW who they are. Don't act surprised! 🤣😎
🙏 So many uk to check out from the time.
Dakota by Stereophonics.
The Verve Bitter Sweet Sympathy,
Travis Writing To Reach You or Turn.
Super Grass
Blur and their alter ego Gorilaz.
Elbo
The list could go on and on of good bands
If you want some U.K. funk, then check out early Jamiroquai who fused funk, jazz, soul and hip hop into their sound. Bassist was a groove machine and only a teenager when the band formed.

React to listen up by oasis and always try to do them live it hits different
UK music? The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, The Who, Pink Floyd, Elton John, Queen, Bee Gees, David Bowie, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Def Leppard, Deep Purple, T Rex, Whitesnake, Iron Maiden, Judas Preist, The Police, Duran Duran, Radiohead, Blur, Oasis, Adele...
There brothers who have fell out but they are ruthless in person
React to Oasis - whatever
90s UK man
Oasis lyrics always have a bit of a snarl to them, Liam has tried to carry it into his other works with Beady Eye & his latest work with John Squire (formally of the stone roses & seahorses); but it doesn’t work and he looks and sounds ridiculous.
Oasis were a great band for the time & they moved with the times for a long while; similar to Pearl Jam in the USA; their early stuff was heavy and grungy and later on they displayed much more lyricism & song writing ability rather than just raw energy.
I feel like Noel Gallagher was definitely the brain behind Oasis. Liam was a great frontman, Bone Head was a great general musician; Oasis just worked well together.
Should check out Acquiesce, Cigarettes & Alcohol, and Don’t Look Back in Anger.
Should check out the band “James” too, they are criminally underrated.
For some more funky UK indie guitar sounds, look at "Fools Gold" by The Stone Roses

React or just check out this Oasis live from Argentina 2009
“Crowd - What’s the Story Morning Glory ft Oasis” is the top comment bc the Argentinians go bloody mental. Gives you kind of an idea of just how popular Oasis is/was worldwide even past their 90s prime
