Dave wrote the Mechanix, in fact if you listen the demo album “No life ‘till leather” before Kill ‘Em All, the Mechanix is there, when Dave got fired from Metallica he forbidden them to use his music but James and Lars didn’t care so they just “adjust” it a little and when Kill ‘Em All came out Dave was fuming seeing that they used his music so forming his own band (Megadeth) dave used the original songs he wrote but sped the tempo up because Megadeth does not sound anything like Metallica even if Dave could make it if he wanted.
That’s 1/1000 of the entire history between Dave, Metallica and Megadeth vs Metallica rivalry that went on for decades.

Peace sells and wake up dead are my favorite Megadeth songs. My suggestion for the next video is: Wake up dead which has the best lyrics ever hahahah, In my darkest hour which is a song that according to Dave Mustaine, the instrumental of this song was created with the feeling he was feeling at the time that Cliff Burton died, but the lyrics are dedicated to Dave's ex-fiancée Diana(Her name is mentioned in the song wake up dead) and Symphony of destruction, because whoever is a Megadeth fan has to know their main song.

The version of Tornado of Souls you listened to was a remastered version from the 2000s that generally makes Dave's vocals sound really bad. Also the instruments sound even better on the original. Most of the time I don't say remasters matter all that much (as far as if your first listening is remastered or original) but in the case of Megadeth these are really bad. When you do listen to more Megadeth, and especially Rust in Peace, try and make sure it's the original and not remastered; that's my advice. Also Dave's voice in general is usually the sticky point for people getting into Megadeth, so don't feel too discouraged. Love the channel :)

She said, in her first reaction video that she had an image of metal based on some death she had heard long ago, and that it wasn't really her thing. It might have changed, but it's better to go progressively. It would be too bad if she were to miss out on the whole genre just because she wasn't yet at the point of appreciating that.

Love the reaction. For your next Megadeth reaction "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due" and "In My Darkest Hour" are absolute musts. After that a few songs I would recommend are "The Conjuring", "Symphony of Destruction", "Hook in Mouth", "Wake Up Dead", "Washington is Next!", and there's a ton more but these are all a great start.

Here’s the issue with the vocals on _Tornado of Souls:_ they were re-recorded in 2004, and you listened to the re-recorded version. The original 1990 recording sounds very different, and in my opinion, the vocals sound much better.

My understanding was that the only rerecorded vocals on the RIP remaster from 2004 were on Take No Prisoners. Five Magics uses an alternate take from 1990, but Tornado of Souls is the original vocal afaik.

@@Charlie.Cisneros you can tell mostly in the backing vocals that there are subtle differences rather than just in how they're mixed. It's staggering. Less obvious with this song than others.

You gotta listen to Holy Wars, Good Mourning and In My Darkest Hour. The drums from Nick Menz (drummer of rust in peace) are also of a very high level - perhaps Tornado of Souls is not the best song to showcase his drums, try Rust in Peace - Polaris from the same album.
You may also have thought the vocals were a tad odd in tornado of souls because you listened to the 2004 remixes rather than the originals, with the 2004 mixes considered to be worse, with vocal tracks for some songs even being rerecorded. It can make a surprisingly big difference.
    Glad you're enjoying megadeth. :))

I would suggest Triumph's songs 'Blinding Light Show / Moonchild' 1976(It's like a harder version of Pink Floyd to me), follow it with Little 'Texas Shaker' from 1977(reminds me of Jimi H.) and end it with the epic hit from 1979 song 'Lay it on the line'.
