Nottwil/Switzerland -- The renowned cymbal maker Paiste announces the launch of the RUDE Basher, Shred Bell and Blast China models.
In 1980 Paiste released RUDE, raw cymbals for the extreme volume required by the punk and heavy metal scene of that time. Since then, the series has gained cult status and remains unique in the cymbal world.
In collaboration with Alex Gonzalez, since 1987 drummer of Mexico's most successful rock band Maná (@manaoficial) and co-founder of new metal project De La Tierra (@delatierramusic), Paiste added new exciting sounds to the RUDE series with the Basher, Shred Bell and Blast China models.
Alex nailed it best, as he says in his own words:

¡Nuevos Platillos RUDE de Paiste!
Nottwil, Suiza - Paiste, el renombrado fabricante Suizo de platillos anuncia el lanzamiento de tres nuevos modelos: RUDE Basher (18" & 20"), Shred Bell (12" & 14") y Blast China (14").
En 1980 Paiste lanzó la linea RUDE, platillos de respuesta muy pesada diseñados para géneros musicales como punk y heavy metal. Desde entonces, la serie se a dado a conocer como la más original y recomendada para la música agresiva y extrema.
En colaboración con el renombrado baterísta Alex González del grupo Maná (@manaoficial) y co-fundador del grupo rock pesado De La Tierra (@delatierramusic), Paiste ha desarrollado e intrducido tres modelos nuevos en la serie RUDE: el Basher, Shred Bell y Blast China.

En cuestión de gustos, si nos ponemos a profundizar, podemos hacer un debate infinito. No hay un mejor baterista del mundo, porque todos NO tenemos los mismos gustos ¿se imaginan como sería todo si a todos nos gustara lo mismo? Una cosa es que a unos les guste como toca y a otros no. Presten atencion a su tecnica, a su soltura y se darán cuenta de que estan viendo a un tipo que estudió años el instrumento, y que hoy por hoy con todo lo que sabe aun trata de ir progresando y yo valoro mas eso que el que trata de tocar blastbeats a 400 bpm.

Bien! ahi tenes un favorito basado en un criterio interesante: Buddy Rich es un dios en el olimpo baterista, pero a otros les puede gustar mas Gene Krupa o Tony Williams, que no digo que sean mejores o peores, sino que hay gente que al preferirlos puede considerarlos mejores, pero en esto es todo subjetivo y personal. Un fuerte abrazo!

Alex de Mana, como Thomas Lang o el mismísimo Buddy Rich tienen un valor por el simple hecho de dedicarle tiempo y esfuerzo a un instrumento musical, así como el tratar de ser mejor cada día. Es deplorable ver como la gente desvalora a tal o cual músico por un simple gusto. DrUmOnly bien por ti!
Federico, si te fijas, quienes hacen ese tipo de comentarios, regularmente, son niños sin ninguna verdadera experiencia en el instrumento. No tienen ni una centésima parte de dedicación que Alex y otros tantos baterístas tienen, junto con la humildad que los caracteriza. Pero ya saldrán de su cascarón.
Federico Ortiz creo que hay una diferencia abismal entre Thomas Lang y Alex y todavía más lejos Buddy Rich, no se por qué los mencionas.
La diferencia abismal hace que haya distintos tipos de música, obras de arte, novelas, etc. No me imagino escuchar a todos como Buddy Rich. No se trata de ser el más rápido o virtuoso, se trata de tener creatividad para tocar, donde poner cada nota.

Wow I am loving the Shred Bells. I love integrating accents in my playing and those sound perfect. Not to mention Alex is awesome too. Awesome video!

Just so you know, here isn’t Alex purpose to do blast beats the fastest possible, if you want that look for a solo or no look it up at all, here he’s showing the cymbals and make everything sound cool, clear and clean. I prefer this than just showing off speed because the drums, this beautiful instrument isn’t just about speed

I just picked up the 12" Bell, 14" China, and 20" Basher, and i am quite happy with em. The China is a little small for live shows, but it's got a nice trashy *wacsch!* to it. The 12" Bell hit hard makes a great ki-TANG!, and you can do more subtle accents on the flat & bell of it. The Basher is just a beast (although it doesn't seem to have *quite* the decay of my 19" RUDE Thin Crash). But they're all a lot of fun, and sexy as hell. God, I love RUDES.
Esos que dicen que es mediocre están muy equivocados. Alex es un excelente baterista, solo vean su técnica. Me encantaría ver a un baterista que toca Blast Beat a tocar algo que no sea eso y sin doble bombo y a ver qué hace. Así como Buddy rich fue bueno en su género, Alex es bueno en el suyo y va adaptándose a las exigencias de hoy al igual que Thomas Lang, quiero decir, no por tocar Blast Beat serás la verga, al contrario, si piensas eso eres un músico mediocre.

Estoy de acuerdo y a la vez no es cierto que Alex González toca todos los estilos latinos pero de metal core no sube ni el heavy metal es cómodo para el aúnque en su estilo es muy bueno no es el mejor pero su talento es innegable

I have mostly Signature Series with a couple Sound Formula that make up my cymbal selection, with one Rude, an 18" Novo China
My left side China is cracked and heading for Frisbee Town, so I tried out some 2002, Alpha, and Rude Chinas. Unfortunately I didn't get to try the 14" Blast China, but after watching this vid I NEED that China! I'll sell my 18" Rude Novo China (It's in excellent condition), then I'll get a traditional 18" Rude China and an 18" 2002 Novo China instead. The 14" Blast China will go over my left side, the 18" Rude China will go over my Ride and the 18" 2002 Novo will go over my right side Hi-Hat. I'll use it as a "Crash/Ride-China" since it has long, drawn out decay. The Rudes will be there for pure attack, accenting during blastbeats, among other things.
I have to make this happen in the next couple weeks! I keep improving my cymbal set up. I've never played on a better sounding kit, (except for George Kollias's kit in 2006 and John Longstreth's kit in 2007) but goddamn man..... this shit is costing A LOT of fucking $$$$$!!!
The 14" Blast China is perfect for accents while I bomb-blast open handed on my left side Hi-Hat, but the 18" Rude Novo has way too much decay in comparison. I'm going to sell the 18" Rude Novo, buy the traditional 18" Rude China, then I'll also get an 18" 2002 Novo China. It's not as abrasive as it Rude counterpart which makes it great to ride on. It'll be a Crash/Ride-China... I guess?
An 18" Rude China over my Ride, a 14" Rude Blast China over my left side Hi-Hat and an 18" 2002 Novo China over my right side Hi-Hat will be perfect.

I just got a 14" Shred Bell and it does sound quite bell-like, but with splashy/china overtones. I think the 12 has more overtones and less bell, but whatever. I am thinking of mounting it on a Meinl cymbal extender right over my 20" Rude China, but it may end up in a trashy hat stack with a 14" PSTX Swiss Crash and a Sound Edge Alpha Metal. The 14 would make an excellent hi-hat bottom too!

No es malo hace buen trabajo para su banda, solamente que para que sea unos de los mejores del mundo necesita ser muy versatil dominar muchos estilos como steve smith,vinny colaiuta, terry bozzio, marco minniman etc,...
manny flores ser muy "virtuoso" no te hace bueno.Toma como ejemplo a John Bonham o a RIngo Starr, no son los más avanzados y nadie puede decirles que son malos, porque cada uno tiene estilos muy diferentes. Incluso Akira Jimbo no toca cosas como las de Thomas Lang y es considerado uno de los mejores.
No dije que era malo te explique que hace muy buen trabajo para su banda .... pero virtuoso?... por favor! the Police es unas de mis bandas favaoritas y no creo que Stewart c. sea unos de los mejores del mundo! y a este no lo pusiera en las misma liga de akira jmbo john bonham,thomas lang,Rngo starr hizo muy buen trabajo para los Bettles sin embargo creo que paul mc cartney toco mejor la bateria para Los Beattles.

Veo en algunos comentarios dicen que es un Baterista mediocre supongo que solo porque estan acostumbrados al Blast Beat o otros géneros extremos y piensan que la batería se toca sola pues no y lo digo porque yo tocó en una banda si es cierto el tiene muchos años de ser batero cada quien se perfecciona en su estilo en su caso rock pop o latino no es un baterista muy rapido ovbiamente si lo comparas con Kollias jaja pues de hecho nadie lo sería... Pero los fills y contratiempos se nota que no es cualquier pelafustan.. En mi caso lo que me gusta más es el metal extremo pero aseguro que es un buen baterista.

estoy totalmente de acuerdo es un excelente baterista, no el mejor a mi me encanta el power metal y de verdad Alex cuenta con una técnica bien pulida, es bueno es su género y creo que si el quisiera tocaría metal a un nivel muy cabrón
