- There are three secret rooms in the White Palace in Hollow Knight. This video will break down where to find them all. I am not the best with the lore aspect of the three rooms but I still find them really interesting!

I just realized at 6:58 that’s the collector he has 4 arms like this figure and was made out of some void type stuff when you hit the collector.
Huh maybe hes a failed knightsmould? Kingsmould sorry

Those are Kingsmoulds. But that's right, Collector looks almost exactly like Kingsmould without armor. And is a Void being that can be created only by Pale King which is an interesting thing but never explained in any way as far as I know.
I also though he was a malfunctioned kingsmould

9:21 Actually the pale king just disappears when you return to the throne room. It's somewhat unsettling. It has nothing to do with cheats.
He didn't return though, on this save file it's the first time he's been there. So the Pale King simply doesn't appear unless you do the White Palace the right way.

THEORY: The second secret room is actually the nursery room where the Hollow Knight grew up:
- The music has a somewhat nursery tone (the ones you use to make babies sleep).
- The chair was not for the king, but for the queen (the shadow in the chair has her characteristic roots).
- The chest is his toy chest.
This always cracks me up because hollow knight was a perfect vessel but then he nurtured them which in turn made the hollow knight not hollow anymore
In my opinion, vessels didn't grow up in the white palace, but I agree that is the room of a baby: in my opinion that's Hornet' s room, cause we know she had 3 mothers and the main one was the white ladt (she was born by Herrah, but when she became a dreamer Hornet was given to the white lady and trained in the Beenest from the bee queen, which also explains why there are chairs in a place where bees live
Worth noting that the lullaby song isn't just any lullaby, it's a non-dissonant version of the Shade's Lullaby! That alone is a huge associative motif.
@@male1289Vessels didn't grow up in white palace, but the Sealed vessel absolutely did and that's canon. See PoP cutscene.

I like how everyone refers the spells as abyss shriek and desolate dive since it proves how little you have the howling wraiths and how easy it is to forget descending dark.
You can, in fact, double jump up to the exit of pale king's workshop. I used the video to get there (I think this is the one spot I missed) and was able to jump high enough to wall jump off the lip of one of the walls to get back up

I followed your path today. At 7:14 when you drop down you can actually jump back up. I just jumped to the wall and bounced off from it back up. Thanks for the video though. Helps a lot trying to find all these secret areas :)

I have a trick that helps you skip a lot of the white palace, at 2:26 there are 2 light posts and you can pogo and double jump on the first one and skip the spike platforming stuff to make it quicker. But if you mess up than you can’t do it until the palace is refreshed
Tip: if you equip hiveblood and grubsong, you can die to spikes, recharge your health, then focus to get a new mask filled. You can cheese the entire palace that way.

I got to all the secret rooms thanks to your help Relyea. Also after you drop down from the kings workshop exit you can get back up and go into the room through the exit.
I meant what I said when I told myself I’d never return to the White Palace, but kinda bummed the only thing I can do without traversing the literal nightmare is the actual nightmare it hides
I’m terrible at hollow knight boss fights but I actually really like white palace, I find it kind of easy tbh, we all have our own strengths I guess. I’ve only just beat the game today but I can’t seem to get radiance and I still haven’t beat Grimm lol
@@porterc5751 3 months later and I actually can get to these rooms. Fights are definitely my strength; I've mastered the Grimm fight and while Radi gives me trouble, she is a fun fight.

After playing Hollow Knight the first time through, I decided I was going to definitely replay it, but this time Id use CZcams more and maybe even do a walkthrough. You can tell in the pale king's workshop that the collector was originally a kingsmold. There are the same number of arms in the hole and it is the same size.

For the first one I found it by crystal dashing off of the walls a bunch of times when I was right above the spikes. It seemed a lot easier than the route you took

Playing on Switch, after going through the workshop the right way, I was able to double jump, grab onto the ledge and go back through the exit

I'm doing Dream no more at steel soul and was getting the void heart, then searched for this, but damn, the menu song at the "baby" room was just amazing.
I found the Workshop and Throne Room Lore Tablet in my first playthru. I didn't know where exactly the Nursery was, so I forwent it. I'm "doing" PoP rn, very likely I'm going to go back and get the Nursery for completionist reasons.

I have over 200 hours exploring this game and I didnt know about either of these first 2 rooms. Just goes to show how much work they put into this game, and is hopefully the reason they aren't done with silksong yet. Great video as always

You can actually get to the first secret room by jumping twice + wall jump when ure under the exit of that same room. Just tried it now and it works! It's easier and quicker. Thanks for the video keep doing this good content it rly helps a lot ahahah this game's hard xD

Hi! In the colosseum of fools there is an unused metal trapdoor next to the bench. (i think its a trapdoor because you can pogo on it). I think whats under there is the stuff they left out of the colosseum because of time (i think this is where you were supposed to "uncover the mystery of the colosseum" quoted from the kickstarter).
Can you check it out with your fancy hacks? Thx! You can even make a video on it if there is a room trigger there and you have no other video ideas :)

I believe the mystery of the coliseum may be that the fool king is dead. I’m not 100% sure though

The path of pain is a hell whole. I don't recommend it if you are impatient and easily agitated

For the room where the pale king made the kingsmoulds and wingsmoulds, you can just jump up, monarch wings, then mantis claw from where the exit is

I went and picked up the king soul charm and then I wanted to sit on the throne, but the game sent me back to hollownest and I went back to the throne to sit on there, turns out you can’t anymore, at least I got to that secret room :))
I can't believe I missed everything except for the lore tablet in the last room right from the king's throne

At 5:18 you can actually double jump dash and then there will be a ledge that you can wall jump on to get up there without needing to do all the extra stuff
