I swear that Trevor in game 1 should have double down on Joe being the thief instead of lying about what time he woke up. Joe was so perfect in being the accomplice and Trevor was trying so hard to get caught.

46:40 Honestly, from BK's perspective (and Fredo/Trevor, if they believe her)... what would explain that mess is if 2 of them woke up at 5, one stole the cheese and the other was converted. And the 3rd woke up at 3 and saw his known partners time to be 5. So the 3 o'clock guy can claim the partner was with him, then the partner can bring the thief into it as well. That would make sense.
What doesn't make sense is that Jack is lying despite being a sleeper.
These are the games we need more of in lets roll. I want to see Werewolf or coup again

I don't understand why Jack took so long to acknowledge that Michael was in fact awake with him and Blizz. It made him look like he was lying when he was innocent. Odd choice.
He played perfectly. Too perfectly though, unfortunately, as BK didn't get it. Which I don't blame her for, it took me a long time to get what he was doing. And even then it was easier for me as I had all the information.

The second round was so scuffed and hilarious. Great for a laugh, but they should have truncated the discussion time since Michael looked at a cup when he shouldn't have and Joe forced Larry to admit his roll when it should have just stayed ambiguous what night Joe woke up.
Make them stand during eyes closed, its easier to reach and quiet without the chairs scratching on the floor

A Message to BK (since I have seen you in the comments before):
In Round 3, Michael did wake up at 3, you saw it right, and Jack was in full agreement with you. Bliz and Michael were the ones arguing with you and they only did that because the point you were arguing had nothing to do with the primary issue of "who took the cheese". You woke up at 4 and saw cheese, only one person claimed 6 and that was Joe.
Case 1: Its was the case of the B-Tre's and Jack taking the lead at the end. What was the results?
Case 2: Its another case of the B-Tre's with a slice of Blizz's control and Michael's chaos. What was the results?
Case 3: The cheese was still missing. Oops. Real case: The cheese was returned. It was a missing mouse case instead.
The true third case: BK having a breakdown and everyone is playing on that. What was the results?
Case 4: Speed is key. What was the results?
They do better with less information.

Im confused on how the accomplices know who the thief is
they arent supposed to know. however, they can probably guess based on proximity
Round 3 spoiler:
It is a crime that Alfredo, when it was his turn to steal the cheese, was physically forced to tap the two people next to him, and so when Jack correctly said it was the three on the right, pointing to Joe in particular, it should have clicked for Alfredo.
A part of me thinks that he figured that out (he's developed some heavy lying skills streaming Among Us), and that he thought that would be meta-gaming and so compensated by voting incorrectly for the sake of content.

I am severely misunderstanding why some of the rules to this game exist. What’s the point of choosing accomplices if they don’t know who they’re supposed to help? Why can you only look at another player’s roll if you wake up alone, but if 4+ people roll the same number the thief is basically screwed by being forced to take the cheese in front of everyone? Why is it only one round when you could just keep rerolling and playing after each unsuccessful elimination? I’m also extremely confused why anyone (specifically BK and Jack since they’re the ones I noticed) would act coy and withhold information about other people’s cups they looked under when they’re completely innocent.
Kinda frustrated that I’m not fully understanding such a simple game lmao
So, the basic idea of withholding info is to be able to catch someone in a lie. If Fredo looks at Jack's die and sees a 4, but doesn't say so immediately, Jack could try to claim he woke up at 6 to missing cheese and could then be called out as a liar.
They can't reroll because the cheese is already stolen and can't be re-stolen until found.
You can't look at a die when you wake up with others because you have just learned their time and knowing another's time while having corroborating voices could be too powerful.
The thief waking with more than 2 sleepers has a 1/1296 and, frankly, at that point just say they got caught in the night and start again.
When the thief's accomplices don't know their leader, their goal is to sow chaos.
To demonstrate, let's look at (the real) round 3. Joe woke up alone and took the cheese before conscripting Bliz and Michael, who don't know he is the baddie. On waking, we have Team Same Face as a pair, BK knowing Michael woke up at 3, and the Trio who know each other. After Fredo divulges that he and Trey woke up at 1, Joe claims missing cheese at 6 and to have seen Trey's 1. Michael claims 2 to corroborate the 6, which is irrelevant but causes BK and Jack to call him out when no further evidence was presenting. Unfortunately, while Bliz and Michael don't know for certain Joe is the baddie, they can guess. Instead of letting that reach the inevitable conclusion, they derail all conversation by Bliz discrediting Jack and making him look crazy.
My best understanding? The point of the accomplices isn't for them to actually know who the thief is and help, but rather to sow chaos and mistruth, to make a mess of the innocents' ability to figure out who to trust/where the thief is lying about when they woke up, what they know, etc.
1 - Accomplices can figure out who they're supposed to help because they know who is definitely telling lies- each other- and what they saw during the night. in a game like One Night Ultimate Werewolf, no one has anyone else as a reference (mostly), so it becomes too hard for the minion to determine the WW without being told. But in this game, if you know who isn't lying, then you can generally deduce it and then craft your own lie.
2 - If 4+ people roll the same number, then the cheese thief will know all of who was in that roll, and pick 2 to be accomplices. If 6 people have the same number, you might need a reroll, admittedly, but it's highly unlikely.
3 - It's only 1 round because (1) the first round can completely exonerate half the table and (2) accomplices. If accomplices can't be re-picked, then it becomes trivial to find the thief. If accomplices can be re-picked, then someone who was an accomplice n1 but not an accomplice n2 would know who the thief is.
4 - this is because they have played a lot of deception games- particularly One Night Ultimate Werewolf and Coup- and know each other's strategies. To give an example, let's say BK woke up by herself and saw a number. If she announces that number, the person with that number is aware their number is out of the bag, and must now either claim BK is lying or claim their correct timeslot. If she says nothing, and the person she saw lies, then she can catch them out, giving them less credence as they were already caught lying.
Unlike the Werewolf style games, there is relatively limited information to work with and no way for any player to actively see the thief unless they wake up at the same time, in which case they will most likely be made an accomplice. The accomplices don't know who the thief is so that they can't leverage that information to corroborate everything the thief says. Instead, they can only work to place suspicion on themselves or on one another. To allow them to know who the thief is would make it nearly impossible for the sleepers to win. As for looking at another player's roll, it is all about information. Every player has one piece of information. It is either who woke up with them or, if alone, the time when one other person woke up. The game can have a variable number of players, and the number of accomplices is a ratio to this total number. Just in this case, with 7 players, the odds of 4+ people rolling the same (regardless of if one is the thief or not) are less than a tenth of a percent. This means that if people roll the same as the thief, the thief in the vast majority of cases will be able to make them accomplices. Additionally, there are still people who don't know who the thief is. It would be arguably better for the thief if 3 or 4 other people rolled the same as them because then the thief and accomplices could gang up on one of the other people who rolled the same.
You're not alone. I had to go back and watch the rules again because I had no idea why Michael looking under a cup in round 2 was a mistake. That was just me forgetting the rules of course, but yeah everything else you mentioned is still pretty confusing too.

This game doesn't work since there's no way to see someone's role, only when they wake up. How would you ever know who was the thief versus who was the accomplice if they both wake up together, as in round 1?
