Thank you so much for covering this tragic event. I am a retired Baltimore City firefighter and have lived in the Baltimore area my entire life. I have crossed that bridge many times.Your video and commentary is excellent. I remember watching the construction of the Key Bridge in 1975-76. A HUGH loss. Prayers for the families of the men lost.
Hi Minorcan , what a fantastic commentary of what is going on at Baltimore as we are down in New Zealand so keep it up with the show for every one to watch
Awww.. thanks for ALL you do for us! Much appreciated. Your videos are so fun to watch and with all the details you share with us. Awesome! Bless you!!
Steel that is twisted and turned in many different angles is very unpredictable and also very dangerous. It's definitely a hazardous situation that the salvage crew is facing. Slow and meticulous movement is the only way to proceed with anything that is under stress.
I'm surprised to see you on tonight even tho I'm late watching your post, it's now almost 9:00 p.m. Wed night. I thought you where going to be off for like 3 days. THANK YOU for the new post tonight.
Fabulous view as always. Just an observation and it must be design by economy … who/what/where/when/how do you build LARGE ship with only one drive engine!!!!! I forge, but I think the US Navy when I was in during the ‘80’s we split thhe eelectcal load for maneuvering!
Can you imagine trying to troubleshoot a complex breaker system that has multiple generators in series and parallel with multiple cutoff switches to shut it all down because of various situations such as low oil pressure?
@@JoeLinux2000 I can. 6600v - 8.4 MW - that could be a humongous spark! And the designer and crew did not configure the “systems” to survive simple faults. Do they practice/drill for emergencies? Were there enough crew on the switch boards etc. ……… Performance reflects Practice!
To Captain Andy is it possible if all of us viewers can see when Dali actually lifts up with weight reducing off the cargo ship , can you do all you can to try this please 🙏
He always tries his best to provide the best coverage possible. It is reported that the ballast has been moved forward to hold the nose down. I assume pumping the ballast takes time. Therefore the bow will rise slowly.
Question?: Would they try to swing the stern once the weight on the bow is reduced? Sort of slicing it off the mud - breaking the suction. I note that one of YT guys calculated a force of 750 tons would be needed to shift the Dali off the mud...
They had breakers blow, cutting the current generator set from the load. This caused the backup generators to auto start. This happened to 2 different breakers in completely different parts of the circuit. So either there were some faulty breakers, or the circuits were overloaded.
Not comical at all. 6 people lost their lives. Port of Baltimore suffering. Global impacts on the shipping industry. We have never seen anything like this before.
Did the anchor ever get dropped? It was ordered dropped, but my understanding (quite possibly wrong) is that the anchor takes something like 5 to 10 minutes to drop. They had about 2 to the collision.
I'm going with a double pulse EMP attack that was carefully timed to precisely steer the Dail into the piling. This is based on the NTSB's preliminary report. that states the cause was a tripped complex electrical circuit breaker system engineered by Hyundai, as reported by another CZcams channel.
Why bother Biden said the fed would pay, these guys are milking the over time. Should be cleaned up by next year unless there is a slight breeze. Or it is too cold. or too hot. What ever excuse they can find.
Keep up the good work, we all enjoy your coverage, god bless!
Your coverage has been excellent. Thank you for your hard work!

I appreciate your coverage and your support and respect for all those involved in this effort, especially the workers who perished in this tragedy
Glad you're back. No decent coverage from anyone else.
I know. Capt Andy's commentary is on track.
On track, but not on time... Otherwise good!
I'm watching later, but I am loving your coverage. Thank you!
Nice job awesome work love the video
Thanks for these videos. It's great watching live, and nice there now is documentation going forward. Very cool.

Missed the live so thanks for the rebroadcast.
Same here, thanks.
Thank You!!!
"Part of the truss system of that span" is perfect terminology!
Couldn't be a better perspective if you were living on the bridge with the eagles RAVENS and peregrine falcons, CAPTAIN ANDY!
Great job, Captain. Andy!
Checking in from Utah..

No question about it,
Thanks again Capt Andy............Jay
Thanks Captain Andy congratulations on the 40k. Well deserved.
Thanks 👍
Sure glad I tuned in!

One engine, one drive ... because it works, and, they'd have trouble fitting in another one...
Great job Capt Andy 🎉

How can i contribute to your site. You have the best coverage
Awesome Live coverage .
Thank you. Have a great evening
You too!
Thanks!
Thank you!!!! Humbled
Good job! I would suggest you leave the 2 way communication on as this enhances the content.
Thank you
You're welcome
I've watched it live (StremTime LIVE) and it was straight.
The claw is picking up another piece Captain Andy.
Yes calming it down

I think some protective 3:08 relays need to be tested to see if some fault indicators were set when the generated first tripped. EE Engineer
Rain coming your way should clear by noon!
Checking in from the Omaha affiliate.
This beats watching the normal rubbish that's on the main TV?. Many thanks for bringing us all these great pic's, Brian in France.
Glad you enjoyed it
Inadequate pier protection meets unexpected vessel power outage.
I’m zooming in with I PHONE ZOOMING IN !!!!
This is like the game Jenga
Hello Capt, Good video. Whats the name of the salvage companies ?
Sun not going down yet.
Great Video, thanks for showing it!! What type of scanner are you using?
looks like they are tig welding in two spots
That's BS, why would they be switching generators in a channel with structures around?
My summation of the NTSB Report: "Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong at the worst possible moment."
They had breakers blow, cutting the current generator set from the load. This caused the backup generators to auto start. This happened to 2 different breakers in completely different parts of the circuit. So either there were some faulty breakers, or the circuits were overloaded.
To vou it may seem comical but we appreciate your involvement with this tragedy

I notice that the Dali is on an even keel side to side, though bow is still up somewhat...
Sorry, stern!
Cheesier 1000 is lifting slowly now
I notice hig voltage power lines up ahead there
200 tons. Plus 13000
How long will the cranes be working today? Hello from Colombia Colombia ( born in Baltimore !)
Check out the flag. It's windy.
Yes moving
See where the barge they put debris on...they have an excavator putting wedges in please ...so debris don't move
No ADDS !
Its laying down
Coming up on the chesapeeke
They had faults with the dali when it left the doc
One of the pieces of steel they exploded off the bow.
Still on one cable
You can see the claw
With all the tonnage removed there has been no movement from the Dali
Does anyone have updated photos of this all the stuff is old
Slow going ! But SAFE
Ahoy
Moving
Just the noise you're making sounds comical. You do what you need to do and we'll wait till your ready. Looking good so far.
Yes. 13 tons
A joint
Right, So, Where is that anchor they dropped? I would think they would want that back on deck before they move the ship?
Did the anchor ever get dropped? It was ordered dropped, but my understanding (quite possibly wrong) is that the anchor takes something like 5 to 10 minutes to drop. They had about 2 to the collision.
Moving claw
I'm trying to figure out what those flashing lights are a little off to the right off-center of the video
Possibly a warning marker of some sort.
Looks like some cutting on the large span center screen, multiple places
how much tons have they remove today?
Didn't hear any weights today
100+

However I do find Capt Andy's analysis quite compelling. Low voltage creates excess heat.
Awww, man I saw that load in claw that was cheap load common 😳 put some weight in it, other crains could took that chump less weight load
Swinging chiss
Working areas getting smaller
Just wiggle
Talk about a complicated lift
Not much happened today...
Check out the video coming out soon. They get it up
I back Ed up didn’t see anything
Lost sound
Not making sense so far
I know this is a sensitive job of high importance…..But my unsolicited opinion is that the clean up team are working slow.
They could speed up a lot.
Why bother Biden said the fed would pay, these guys are milking the over time. Should be cleaned up by next year unless there is a slight breeze. Or it is too cold. or too hot. What ever excuse they can find.
I think they are working as quickly as is safely possible. It's going to take time and rushing is a fool's errand.
Try to move too fast and you will have more injuries.
Have they moved the barge with the debris on it??
@@David_3059 the barge with debris on it has to get unloaded every few hours.
Thuh weather???
Rain chances all day. Overcast all day.
them guys doing that
