    That’s explain a lot ,mines noisy in that area,so I’m guessing I need a bmx crank and some flat sheet also 👍 to fit some

    Great videos👍 First 3 questions: are you satisfied with your newly built engine in your van/camper and is it still running❓
    Which parts did you use, all original or after auten/original equipment manufacturer quality ❓ What did it cost from the parts alone ❓ I just bought an 2003 Nissan Interstar 120dci with g9u 720 with 178000km ,4 weeks ago.Only injectors should be new/cleaned because it's working again (he starts badly, and takes on gas with difficulty, when he runs it soots so rough from the exhaust pipe).. unfortunately no injector problem 1000 € away 🤦.. because compression was tested first and 1&2 cyl only 8 bar, 3&4 17 bar. .fuck-I have engine damage😒..I hope that I will only need new piston rings,seals and so on and that I don't have a cracked cylinder head.✊✊
    Seller doesn't know anything, as always 😒 .... so I searched the net for days for videos, data etc .... until I saw your videos.
    Awesome, thanks, that has now brought me to overhaul the engine myself (it's my first diesel engine, I've already disassembled and rebuilt a few petrol engines). Thanks to your video, I was afraid that it can't be that bad. THANK YOU.✌️👍

    Hey Buddy! Thanks for your videos !! Iam stuck in overhauling the same engine.. took mostly everything apart..
    did you use oversized piston rings?

    • @Adventure_Van_Upgrades
      @Adventure_Van_Upgrades  Před rokem

      No , I only had my cylinder bores honed and reinstalled new stock size rings as the measurements were within acceptable working tolerance.

    And is there an shop manual for all details? I am so afraid of making small mistakes with big effects 💩😍😊

    • @Adventure_Van_Upgrades
      @Adventure_Van_Upgrades  Před rokem

      Yes I found an online service & rebuild manual to refrance throughout the process. Would always recommend reading through the process before beginning to be sure your prepared and will have everything to hand that you're going to need.

    hi you had the bloch homed did you use te same size rings or did you get bigger ones not sure how it works

    • @Adventure_Van_Upgrades
      @Adventure_Van_Upgrades  Před 2 lety

      Cylinder bores were only lightly re-honed , not re-bored so it still takes a standard size set of rings 🙂

      I couldn't tell you from memory, sorry.
      I'm pretty sure they were bought as a kit and not individually

      @Adventure_Van_Upgrades  Před rokem

      Running the engine with a disintegrated big end bearing had warped the crank slightly
