I liked the balls this episode had, like usually any kind of special is seen like it has to be bombastic and really REALLY BIG, but i liked how in the middle of these specials they decided to include something so focused in scope and scale, just allowing it to be good with its core concept and characters without unnecessary additions

I absolutely loved this episode. Instantly among the all time classics for me.
These Specials are celebrating the show on a different level than people thought: they're offering a delightful taste of the many flavours that Doctor Who can have.
It can be funny and Disney-like, as in The Star Beast.
It can be creepy and scary, as in Wild Blue Yonder.
It can be bombastic and epic and Marvel-like, as in The Giggle.
And it can be A LOT more.
I think these specials make up for a perfect entry point for newcomers and for a very warm "welcome back" for people who weren't happy with the recent iteration of the show.
This is what we should celebrate: that Doctor Who is still around and it's still splendidly brilliant and we get to have more.
An enormous thank you, Russell T Davies.

I know RTD loves filming half-domed TARDIS sets, but it would be so nice to have that 3/4 become a 4/4, 360 degree set at least for one episode, just so we can get front facing sprawling shots. Make it modular, so the camera can get all angles. Remove sections of the walls easier, I don't care. Just once you notice how the camera is confined to only show one side/angle, it becomes extremely glaring. Gorgeous set let down by old habits.

A lot of things are divisive now unfortunately. The Issac newton scene was a bit odd, but it didn’t ruin my enjoyment of the episode.
People also can’t accept the whole thing about the doctor’s sexuality even though 13 had her thing with Yaz. The 14th doctor has said things like “Donna is my best friend, I absolutely love her, oh I say things like that now.” And saying that Issac Newton was hot. The 15th doctor’s actor Ncuti Gatwa is gay so RTD has probably been setting this up as we don’t know how this is going to be presented when Ncuti takes over.

Personally, I choose 1000% to believe that the not-things of this episode are an evolved form of the Midnight entity. Both of these life forms seem to exist in a form of mimicry - but where the Midnight entity used mental mimicry, these can now also use physical mimicry. And given the Midnight entity appeared to be vaguely formless, able to survive extreme conditions (the X-tonic sunlight) and was attracted to the “bodies so hot”, only to turn them all against each other to get where it wanted to be (in a way that could imply that in that era, the not-things have mythologised the experiences of the Midnight entity), strongly suggests some connection to it. I’m calling these things the exact same thing as the Midnight entity.

In “Wild Blue Yonder,” Davies race swaps historical figure Isaac Newton (are they going to race swap Ghandi and Mother Theresa?) and makes the David Tennant Doctor gay and says he always has been even though he fell in love with Rose Tyler and marries River Song. Donna also questions the gender of an alien about pronouns.
It’s obvious that, much like Chibnall, Davies is not focused on the story but sending "THE MESSAGE." The episode also references Chibnall’s “The Flux” and “The Timeless Child,” as the Flux is mentioned destroying the universe and the Doctor says he doesn’t know where he is from.
As we’ve seen with the Chibnall and Whittaker era and the aforementioned Disney Star Wars and Marvel, lecturing fans, mocking fans, and sending "THE MESSAGE" never works out. The question is, does Russell T Davies even care?

Absolutely AWFUL use of green screen....
How are those tumbling viewing figures, all for RTD massaging his own ego.
At what point do any of these so called specials actually celebrate Doctor Who?

Overall a good episode with a great story, even if they stupidly made Isaac Newton native American for no reason at all. Was there seriously a shortage of white actors? Are they going to make Martin Luther King Jr a white guy now to even it out? This is one of the reasons why I stopped watching Doctor who and the Jodie Whitaker era. You can make all the new characters you want in all of time and space, you really don't need to race or gender swap well known people! Not everyone has to be gay, trans, everything else!

      Indian heritage, not Native American.
Also, Louis XV was mixed-raced in 2006's The Girl in the Fireplace. Did you complain then?

These anniversary specials are terrible like genuinely embarrassed at the fact that this is put out on the TV ... Compared to a decade ago when it felt a colossal event ... These are just infantile

That was the dumbest episode of Doctor Who yet! The tardis took them there to save the world BUT if they never went there the aliens would have never known that the robot was going to blow up the ship. So the tardis actually put the universe in danger!

Off we go into the wild blue yonder,
    Climbing high into the sun;
Here they come zooming to meet our wokeness
At ‘em now, Give 'em the wokeness gun! give em the wokeness gun!
Down we dive, spouting our wokeness flame from under,
Off with one helluva of a wokeness roar!
