Maria 2006 against the best one-handed backhand so far. And ...that dress, just Heaven
So, it was my most difficult choice between my 2 favourite tennis female players at this timel
Maria was so beautifull and hanger, but sweet Justine was so ingeneous with such a talent..
Missed that Henin's one handed backhand.
So many great moments: Serena’s three peat, Clijsters’ comeback win, breakthroughs for Stephens and Pennetta, and rise of the next gen Osaka, Andreescu, and Raducanu. Looking forward to the story of 2022.
You didn't mention naomi won 4 slams back2back , back2back. Unbreakable record.
@@allenjoseph8759 Huh?
@@KaitainCPS unbreakable record.
@@allenjoseph8759 Serena win 2012, 2013, 2014, thats the unbreakable record can Naomi do that 🤣
@@sootuff9397 you are talking about consecutively. I am talking about the two maidens one. The last person that won it once was capriati. Naomi twice. Unbreakable.
Anybody else notice how the final shots of Serena's threepeat between 2012-14 landed in almost the same spot?
Backhand misses with Serena on the top end of the screen. I always noticed that.
crazy.only noticed now
It is a joy to watching Justine Henin play. Her one handed backhand is fantastic, and such a smart tactician, she very rarely would chose the wrong shot during a rally.
Yes I was not really a fan of hers but her backhand is the standard for one-handers as far as I'm concerned. Obviously not a lot of competition on either tour these days for one-handers but hers was flawless.
She was far superior to the Williams sisters imo
One of my FAVORITE women's players!
@@benw4079 both sisters led in head to head against Henin. Venus 7-2 and Serena 8-6 I believe. She was defiantly not superior
@@wezwez19 what part of "imo" confuses u?
The Williams Sisters! ❤️💯
2008 is my favorite Serena reaction of all time! 😍
One of my favorite matches!
I wanted Elena DEMENTIEVA that year
Justin Henin...awesome one-handed backhand !
Venuses 2000 dress was dress of the century from Reebok
V Williams starting it off as she should
Serena dominated the U.S. Open to appear in the more finals than any other player💥🔥🔥🔥 Goat
The best one single backhand Justin! I would like to see her more
Raducanu's win is still like a dream.
Clisjters in 2009 as well considering she had to go against prime williams sister while coming from retirement
Her 2022 season is a nightmare
Most overrated and overhyped player ever.
@@vatsalsingh1555 the sweetest one is naomi against serena and azarenka. She beats the goat and the baby goat.
Yeah it’s not likely to happen again the way she’s playing,
I was shocked when I saw Justine’s one handed backhand. She looked like federer on the court. Made me realize that hardly any female tennis player uses it. Insane
honestly, how can you not like henin, a one handed backhand player
because she was a cheater
@@Agass1 why are you saying that?
@@MEZOMEZO2011 check roland garros 2002 Serena - Henin semifinal
@@MEZOMEZO2011 2003 roland garros sorry
Because she cheated on several occasions and was generally unpleasant towards her peers.
love how different Serena and Venus' celebrations are! Venus: calm and collected, Serena: jumping up and down/screaming/throwing racquets
Masha 😍😍😍
The Justine Henin, Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka run was special. The Emma Raducanu win was great to see.
Most finals won in straight sets!
Serena rocks!
HENIN!!! ❤❤❤
The Williams sisters will always be the best female tennis players of all time! Even is Serena retires
Graff is way better. On 90's grass and clay they couldn't make it
@@nicolas073 ... that's a silly comment. The Williams sisters in the 90s were still children making their debuts close to the end of that Era. I don't think they are the best but serena was the best out of her generation especially with the competition that she was up against.
@@booyah2u296 I was answering to the comment that said they're the goats. I strongly disagree, Graff is more complete and move faster. She's the goat for me. Then I agree with you're last sentence. Out of her generation she's the greatest.
But female tennis now is looking cheap than the 90's
@@booyah2u296 and to be more precise I say Williams at their prime, couldn't beat Steffi Graff at her prime. Especially grass from that time which was way faster and you needed to come to volley
@@nicolas073 wouldn't have won half as many slams if her ONLY rival Monica seles wasn't stabbed
Really fun to watch! So many great memories. My favorite was Osaka winning her 1st, and who can forget Clister’s comeback after having her daughter.??!! Serena after coming back from injury and Kerber def. Pliskova. Such great drama and competition! I hope this generation an compete with the past!
Maria and her legendary outfit ❤️
Henin, the last and most exquisite female player I have ever seen...it was a pleasure to watch her playing
Sad for Azarenka...she was so so close to be the USO champion.
Bianca’s victory is underrated though
Venus is always so gracious in victory and defeat.
Serena 🏆🏆🏆
Serena GOAT
Sharapova’s reaction is favorite
Steffi graf is the GOAT period
I had no idea Serena was in the final that many times. GOAT 🐐
She has 6 titles, tied with Chris Evert.
How genuinely happy Vinci was for Pennetta
I love this compilation a lot! So much emotion.
Emma Raducanu, serving out her 1st Grand Slam Final with an ace out wide, who even does that?! Best line from BBC commentary.
Sounded like it was a net though
I think Bartoli did that Wimbledon 2013. Perhaps Kvitova Wimbledon 2011 was an ace too but not sure if it was out wide.
@@thevithunshow Yea Kvitova's was an ace down the T
Henin's Backhand
These are all legendary points!
A superb video with so many great memories of great moments and worthy champions. Can't wait to see who is next.
@12.20 ❤️ what a moment. I have never seen two rivals hug for so long 😍 I just loved it 😍😍
I love getting to see the pure joy on their faces after winning! (Especially Serena) They show how much this sport means to them.
Having watched both this and the Men's video, stood out to me that of the 44 clips, only Raducanu hit an Ace on Match Point.
Raducanu won with an ace.
Naomi's wins so special to me. I hope she gets her mind , heart back in the game in 2023
14:58 feel bad for Azarenka. 3 times went into the finals, and lost all the three times.
And all in three sets (two super tight).
she's a two time GS winner..plus Indian Wells...Dementieva,Zvenovera and Safina had been to the finals 2-3x, but never won.
Maria Sharapova Queen 👸🏻 she will be missed wta not same without her.
Great Ladies..Champions 💕
The Williams are the Queens!
Before 2015, the US Open champions and finalists were all established slam champions and contenders. Since then, we've had a slew of random and fluke champions. 😅
Soo many multiple slam champs and former no.1s in the finals!
5:11 To all those who say Serena and Jankovic hated each other.
Serena is friendly with most of the girls on tour!
@@inerit5175 exactly! People judge her on her fighter spirit ON the court, but I've yet to hear someone say she was disrespectful or mean OFF the court.
Most of the drama between the two came after this match. I don't think they ever disliked each other though - they're both just fiery competitors!
Emma 😇
How she collided with Osaka to confront the referee 13:10
Klisters, Henin, knuestuva, Azaranka, Osaka. Notable mentions🔥
The Williams sisters both are the only ones to appear in 3 consecutive finals. 2 of which were against each other😎💥👊🏿
Serena in 2008 reaction to her father’s new wife hugging her was like Now you know im going for my dad move out the way😂😂
Okay but why does the shot sounds sound much better 20 years ago than now? Arthur Ahse needs to bring back some of those old school mics.
All the points here were so beautiful ❤️
Serena really is the GOAT, she was basically in this whole video.
I remember 2017 like it was yesterday. Never have I felt so proud to see four Americans in the semifinals, not the least of which being the great Venus Williams on her incredible comeback!!! We need to see more of that, I want American tennis to come back to the greatness it once achieved for both men and women😂🤩
I also remember 2018 and 2020. I remember feeling ashamed of my own country for how they booed and destroyed poor Naomi’s crowning moment, and feeling sad for her two years later to see Naomi win again without a crowd even there at all, congratulating or booing🤦🏻♂️
Justine henin 2003 and 2007 fantastic
Yes Serena. What a fighter. What a champion!!!
بطلات 🏆🏆
Clisters coming back after giving birth and winning US open again is still one of greatest memory of USO
And 2022 Iga Świątek 🤗❤️🔥
Emma ❤️❤️❤️
Emma...😘😘😘😍😍😍😍
Embarrassing how the American crowd booed Naomi. They would be in uproar if any other country did that if it was the other way around. Made me respect Naomi even more, I’m so happy she won
That hug between Sloane and Keys. Beautiful.
Did Azarenka have match point against Serena in 2012? I remember her being 5:2 up or so in the 3rd and choking hugely or am I mistaken here?
No she was 5-3 up and I don’t think she had a match point. I think it was 30-30 so 2 points away.
Azarenka served for the match but didn't have matchpoint, it was 5-4 if I'm not mistaken
You can just hear it. The crowd is never as electric as it is for Serena
No sé si estarán de acuerdo conmigo pero esos años fue maravilloso ver a estas grandes tenistas. Me fascinaba ver jugar a Justine Henin que revés.
How's that for an ending??
Venus out of her 16 GS finals won 7 ,lost 8 to Serena, I guess it doesn't feel that bad when you loose to your sister. They were so dominant.
I don't know. I'm sure she was happy for her, but there were times when she was in the stands and seemed a bit envious. I don't blame her. Conflicting emotions, I bet.
@@jctell1014 Venus was never envious
Half times of finals had Serena in it. Amazing!
1:50 Justine Henin had a beautiful backhand.
Note: This century began on 2001.
Win or loss Serena Williams is d only one who made women tennis memorable without her women tennis is boring ..
It seemed to mean more to Serena with every single win
Queen Williams 👑
All in all, very few momorable wins. Couldn't remember most of the finals
1ga campions 2022🇵🇱👏😊👍🤩🏆🎾❤️
Emma is the GOAT for serving ace on championship point.
🙂🙂🙂 one of the finest sarcasms
Do you even know what the word GOAT means?
@@Lol-ej2uh I don't think they do lol:)
so basically it says that Serena Williams is the GOAT
Based on the comments here, Justine style and one handed backhand stands out the most, which I agree ❤
I forgot how great sam stosur was during that 2011 run to become a champion
I really wish they'd make these finals best of five, it'd give the matches more time to build. Only four of the 22 finals went more than two sets.
Мария просто богиня !!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wish individuals stop trying to link Emma's tennis history with Serena's Legacy.
Seriously though after one grand slam😭💀
Their was time 1vs 2 use to compete in slams now look things at WTA, unexpected players
Crazy how whoever beat Venus in the 2nd week of this grand slam also went on to win the tittle!
Princess Sharapova.
Dopapova was a helluva player.
@@willybeama1 I wonder how corona is left you alone while it takes many innocent lives away from their family?
@@krishnakumar2390 I liked your comment, lol
True. But I think this we before she got beat down by serena in ao and elected to take drugs as opposed to working on her game.
@@akeemmartin3056 that drug was completely legal and fine all the years she taken, out of compliance for just 25 day ao 2016.
Calling one of your champions Flavia pennetta „pannetta“ is very disrespectful. No one watched the vid before uploading it?
2011, 2015 and 2019 were the 3 opportunities that Serena should not have missed.
On Clijsters’s comeback she made sure that that ball wasn’t coming back into play. Lol
Both finalists were from the same country from 2000 to 2004 and in 2015, 2017.
You need an update for 2022 before this year's championship😉
Вика конечно же ❤️прям в шаге всегда (
Come on Vica. Get one
Us Open seems to be hard GS to win. Wozniacki lost final twice, Azarenka 3 times, Djokovic won here only 3 out of his 9 finals.
Just realizing that after 2012-2014, 3 peat at the US open, Serana has not won this tournament since.
You can hate Raducanu but her run was something else at that Us open
Emma was my fav and the only one EVER to have won in straight sets as a qualifier. There is no argument that was the BEST!!!
She can barely muster a few games now off her opponents. I wonder if it's the lighter ball with her style of play that helped her
@@martydav9475 Azarenka has had a poor season and is almost retired
@@martydav9475 that's a sad record when you look at Azarenka's career.
@@martydav9475 If you've only won 17 matches and lost 10 that means on average you are not getting much further than the second round in every tournament.
she may look like a qualifier but she's been playing pro way before..Fernandez was just tired from her own prior matches..Emma was lucky to have a weak draw on her end.
Sorry to the Margaret Court fans! But they didn't have cameras in the Jurassic Era!
😂
if Justine didnt retire, she would be one of the best ever, her play had so much class
