- The most improved player in college, Davis went from role player to superstar in the span of an offseason after winning a gold medal with USA Basketball. Davis' rebounding, defensive versatility and all-around grit stand out in addition to the strides he has made offensively. He is a streaky shooter who gets a lot of his offense in the post, on midrange pull-ups, in transition and while using his aggressiveness, physicality and smarts attacking out of the pick-and-roll. He has taken some lumps in the Big Ten, struggling at times to create efficient offense and making some scouts ponder just how heavy of an offensive role he can shoulder at the NBA level, something that will surely be scrutinized in the NCAA tournament. I see alot of skills in Davis. I'm not familiar with him but from these highlights I can see he has plenty of talent. He reminds me alot of Tmac (Tracy Mcgrady) maybe it's too early to compare but my eyes usually dont lie too me. Post presence, back to the basket, turnarounds, baseline/complete mid range, layup package, good footwork, handles, and he doesn't live at the 3 (I enjoy watching these type of players) #Wizards made a good pick. @@shermanng8961 I'm a Kings fan, and i think Mathurin is better than Davis, 6''7 210, pair him next to Fox, plus he can play multiple positions, freakish athleticism, a strong Bull, plus great shooter, if we don't take a guard, him, Ivey or Sharpe, we have to take Keegan Murray, maybe the best all around player in this draft, reminds me of Jason Tatum, and we desperately need another starting F, to play next to Barnes, who can score, rebound and play defense, Murray can do it all, and has a very high Basketball IQ.

No, not really. A lot of people compare them cause they kinda look alike and are both 6’5 SG’s, but their games are quite different. Booker’s game is predicated off of his ability to shoot the ball, especially from deep. Even during his Freshman (and only) season at Kentucky, he shot 41% from three. Whereas Davis‘s weakness is his outside shooting ability. He only shot 30% from three point land this season. Johnny’s strength is his ability to attack the basket. That’s not Booker’s strength. Their games really are just different.

I really hope more players start going to pro leagues or the g league college education is trash and they're exploiting them plus they don't really get to show how good they are since they're playing system basketball.
Every single coach and team has a different system G league teens have a system not to mention college education is wonderful the experience is way more fun than the G League you get way more buzz than anyone in the Gleague does and you get nil money
