    I always leave the floor jack under also when working under 4 jack stands like this. Just for added security.

    My owners manual references the extra oil for racing.

    Wouldn’t it be ok to just have the jack stands on the front and leave the rear lifted with the jack?

    • @EndlessMoneyPits
      @EndlessMoneyPits  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Not really. If the jack fails, the car could fall off the jack stands. Game over.

    what does the fuel additive do? and how effective is it?

    • @EndlessMoneyPits
      @EndlessMoneyPits  Před rokem +2

      The oil additive is like very thick oil that is supposed to provide additional protection against wear on metal components, but I think this is still being debated. I have seen numerous service manuals that warn against using additives, so only use them at your own discretion.

      @@EndlessMoneyPits yeah I have a few questions about the C5 as my tata and I just got one. Right now we are facing a small issue regarding the transmission. The car is an automatic and it desperately needs a oil change. But going back to the transmission it jerks a little bit and we think it might be the transmission fluid. The car also has an issue with the pop ups as sometimes they won’t go down and they are not the OEM headlights and wonder if it’s a voltage problem. Sorry to unload this on you like this and I don’t expect you to cover all this but I just appreciate whatever you might have an answer to. Thanks again , and yeah you got great content here so it’s really interesting to learn a lot of new things about cars.

      Well, the C5 is not my car so I'm no expert but I can tell you that the automatic transmission in my Jeep was a little jumpy when the fluid level got too low a couple times. So, check the level to make sure that isn't the problem. If an automatic transmission hasn't had a fluid changed in a very long time (approximately 75k+ miles), it's often best to leave the old fluid in so all the friction material from the clutches isn't lost.
      As far as the headlights, if the bulbs have been replaced with LEDs that could be the problem. On this car we have to switch to high beams to get them to close, but I think there are resistors you can install to resolve that issue. We just haven't done it yet.

    Now just remove the Grand Sport stripes so it will look legit.
