Each point Adam makes has been drilled into me by many teaching pros. This man is concise, easy to follow and genuine with the sharing. Keep the videos coming. I'm so happy to view them. Andy

I really like your videos because they are no-nonsense. You actually look at all of it logically. Many teachers leave you wondering: what did he just say and what did he mean. You take the broad picture of golf and zoom in on what you are teaching so it is very easy to understand. Thanks for all of your effort as it is truly appreciated!

Adam, this clip is gold. You just described my poor practice regime when at the drive range. I kinda know what to do after watching multiple youtube videos, however, you've just made me realise I just keep whacking away, hoping the thoughts in my head will transfer to my hits/drives without building up slowly and thinking about what I'm doing. Thanks, The Bucket Drainer.

What he said about using less power and feeling it and using your mind is right on. That's the second time I've heard a really good coach say this. I've been doing a lot of practicing at the local football oval which restricts my urge to just whack the ball as far and hard as I can. Guess what? I can actually feel where I'm going wrong now and am hitting the ball with much more control than many sessions at the driving range with buckets of balls. No wonder he won PGA Teacher of the Year twice. Best part is he doesn't charge $165 an hour! Thank you.

Thanks very much. Regards the change in drivers, there is clearly something less suited to you with the R-15. There are a number of possibilities, but likely the shaft is not a good fir for you. Dear Adam, I want to compliment you on your teaching. For example, often in videos terms are used without definition. That's confusing for a beginner, but from you I understand "release" and "lag" relative to wrists ("Stop Hitting Behind the Ball"). Also, you haven't taken things for granted such as clarifying the different stances needed for an iron vs. a wood relative to sweet spot and club face angle. Your demonstration of how you'll shoot the wood down the fairway versus hitting the ground with your iron, if you let go of them, was very instructive. I thank you for your carefully considered lessons. You are helping me to be a better golfer.

I was working on this today and had great results. I used the ropes on the driving range that are nailed into the ground showing you where to practice. I kept setting up to the rope like it was a ball and practiced squaring the face to the rope. Just like you did with the stick. It really helped me map out impact. I did this the rest of my practice time, square up to the rope then hit a ball. I was hitting it so straight and pure. It really is that simple.

Curtis Perdue, you are spot on. Adams advice about not overthinking it helped me. I found I was trying to think in the middle of my swing and overloading my thought process. I am now working on developing muscle memory by doing the training with short swings and letting muscle memory do the rest when I swing full. I'm sorry if I did not explain that well. Suffice to say, thanks Adam; I appreciate your videos.

I get judged a lot at my local courses simply because of my appearance. I have long hair right now and some of my tattoos are visible; however, because of your videos, I shoot better than half the people out on the course with me at any given time (at half their age to boot)..shuts them up really quick. Thank you sir!

Last night, 9 holes - "a stick and a ball, solid contact." My new mantra. I hit 7 of 9 fairways including the par 3: dropped it on the green. Far and away my best performance. I used your alignment drill and kept the poise to do it repeatedly. I included the notion of intentionally bringing the face closed and open to see how it feels. In fact, one of my failed shots sliced and I could feel that it was due to bringing the club from outside to in. Sure, that went in the trees on this hole, but it will be a brilliant shot on some doglegs I play. I also had to wait for some slow play and I wonder if other players thought I had lost my senses when they saw me throwing my five wood down the fairway. I could have told them that hitting your woods is like skipping a stone, and I was practicing. Thanks again. I am enjoying the game more and more.

Awesome content and strategy as usual. So many people who can"do", can't teach. In each video, you develop a strategy to get your points across in a clear simple concise manner. That is something of an "art". Well done . . . thanks !!!

I appreciate this content. Although I am only 5 feet 7 inches I am finding I like the full length driver better. I tried a 44 inch shaft that was quite light and just really couldn't get the feel for it. Did not like it. Seems the Ping G 410 S.F.T. driver with the soft regular shaft at 45 3/4 inches works pretty well for me. I am a senior and I believe my swing speed tops out at probably 80 to 85 mph. I usually hit in the range of probably 185 to 210 yards but I really got into one last weekend that traveled about 230 plus yards. I like the potential of being able to hit it quite long but realize control is a big factor along with good dispersion. You encouraged me not to shorten the shaft and you are right on that. Its starting to all come together. More important to work on technique and controlling that club. Thank you Adam.

Thanks. Great video. It really helped me with the driver. Does this method apply to irons ( controlling using the hand method)?
