    Well the size of the part is starting to get up there yet still cute ( compared to the size of parts I do that is )

    came here because I was looking at my guitar and wondered why more parts weren't made out of brass, or nickel, or anything that looks better than chrome plated bullshit. I get that it's cost.. but, there's plenty of guys who upgrade to gold plated hardware, or "aged brass"... etc. Why not just nickel hardware. Or pure brass hardware?? I'm actually confused why there's not a market for that. I would easily pay the melt value plus a premium to have pure nickel hardware on my guitar... which would run me an extra 10 or 20 dollars [if that]??? That's nothing, to have finer metals on an instrument I love.
