take a look at what Fields had to deal with in his first 2 seasons in Chicago in regards to opportunity and the talent around him - they finally gave him some talent in year 3 and he improved considerably! Chicago should have kept him and traded the first - Pittsburgh has found a gem of a QB which I predict will be their starter for the next decade - Fields is a class act too and will be just as good of an addition to that Steeler locker room as he was in Chicago - he was loved by his teammates which is lso quite telling of Justin Fields the person!

I disagree on the Fields point though, I think he will play sometime this season even if Russ is fine and playing good, maybe mid way through, at half time, if they are up etc, because firstly they will want to test fields, secondly they have to make a decision for next year because you can’t red shirt fields much longer than that tbh, so do they keep Russ for another couple of years or is fields their QB of the future, and if he is on the roster, why not test some things in an actual game, so I think he will see play time, but it was always clear Russ for now is the starter, this however could change quite easily as the steelers have nothing but 1 mil for 1 year on Russ, they could bench him tomorrow and feel nothing
Let Fields sit and actually LEARN! The Bears didn't provide that to Fields. Fields should get a couple plays each game for certain personnel packages but Russ should be the starter for most of the year

It’s very clear what happened to Justin. The front office that drafted him collapsed they were gone year 1. His first year starting they tore down the team. His last year there was the first time he had a competent team and even then the the defense wasn’t ready until halfway through the season and the now fired offensive coordinator ( wasn’t good enough for Caleb) refused to consistently coach to Justin’s strengths.
