Used to sing this in high school in solfeggio lesson and I had been searching a recording of this beautiful piece for 25 years! A super huge thanks goes out to the uploader!!! I'm having a great evening thanks to you and I have shared this link with my school mates with whom I sang this masterpiece! Thanks again! Cheers! Peter

I sang this with mixed choir in summer 1975 during the incomparable KMTI [Kodaly Music Teachers Institute] held at Wellesley College. THAT was a music education for teachers! This song swept me off my feet. I have never forgotten the feeling of singing this, one of the most beautiful pieces of choral music ever written, IMO.

Beautiful. I sang this in high school choir and have never forgotten it. So glad to hear it again in this lovely rendition.

This song could only ever of worked in F sharp Major...that slippery key between f and g...like racing a chariot with three horses...one that pushes faster and the other slower...but the middle note carries this song home!

It's not a woman, it's the SEA ! Charles d'Orléans was prisonnar of the english and he was dreaming of the sea that separated England from France !
