APPARENTLY you Embark on a 3rd person action-adventure quest to avenge the death of your parents at the hands of the ultimate alpha predator: Gaw. Conquer waves of primal beasts and defeat the minions of your arch-nemesis on your way to becoming the rightful King of Skull Island. Traverse the mysterious island and uncover lore and all the secrets the island has to offer as you encounter swamps, waterfalls, jungle, and skullite-filled caves that give the island’s flora and fauna its power. Hey Beaver, fun fact: the dinosaur you see Kong Fighting in the loading screen is actually a copied model of the Maulausarus from Jurassic World’s concept artwork! They literally copied the design for the model just for a loading screen.
Also there’s a cutscene later in the game where the game goes out of bounds and shows a png because the creators were too lazy to animate a flashback

I laughed out disbelief that this is a 40$ game and it looks like a mobile game, and some cutscenes use still image

I think the biggest tragedy of this game is the fact they brought back elements of the novel and comic, featuring Gaw and the Deathrunners for the first time in a digital media,..

I mean- this game is literally just the netflix (poorly) animated series rise of kong turned into a poorly made game.
@@Yutii-The-Yutyrannus correct me if I’m wrong but i don’t think there’s a ‘rise of Kong’ animated series. There’s Kong King of the Apes which artistically speaking is close to this game but when it comes the story and what lives on the island it’s very different. No Gaw, no Deathrunners, but a lot of robots and just straight up regular dinosaurs (T rex, triceratops etc)
There’s also that one Skull Island cartoon but that’s a monsterverse thing with giant bulldogs for some reason so that’s a fair bit different there too

@@DireNemesisit even sucks knowing how unreal is an absolute beast of a game engine (i might argue it's better than unity except for making 2d games) and you can create something fantastic with it
But in this case, it seems like the devs only used default settings and assets from the engine. So ironic, the engine offers so many options yet the devs probably thought the defaults were "good enough"

I think in Peter Jackson Kong lore explains that the Kongs died out due to big competition and diseases but since this game isn't in the same universe I have no idea

So many concepts from the book this is based on could have been great. COULD is a key word here
This game is a masterpiece from the graphics to the big brain play for Mama Cong to let the male die before fighting a one-on-one. The screenshot flashback is dripping with storytelling.
I qm genuinely so sad about this game this was the very first actual "kaiju" game after years and years of waiting snd it truned into this

The easiest answer to why really really big things die off, is they are to big to exist. They simply were selected by nature to die off cause of sustainability similar to big carnivores, they eat their prey go to the point they starve, and with a big guy like that, well they burn so many calories that they need to maintain that all the time. At least that is my theory. Big apes would have been prey for big carnos and with very few apes it would be hard to keep their numbers up. Till the last one dies from something random.
nah you cant even kill it. I tried. I got it stuck in between two trees and spammed the rock throw. After it got around halfway on the healthbar, the cutscene started and my character was force killed.

The fact that Kong is literally almost the size of a crab just shows how small he really is. Same with the small little chicken things. But compared to the dragon thing, Kong is pretty large.
