If you guys or anyone is interested I fit these on my cbr650f using this method with a minor modification to make them stick out a little more. To make these signals 100% flush and not stick out required the threaded plastic bolt attached to the signal to be about 1-2inches longer but I made it work the best I could with what I had. I cut the rubber piece that held the oem signals in and used it as a washer to hold the signal in place and make it stick out about an inch more. (It is still hard to see from the front but definitely better than using nothing)
At 9:20 note that the signals need to be super tight on the washer to keep the signals from shifting. I took the old rubber inserts and cut them down to the inner section and the part that inserts into the fairing. You can use this instead of the washer for a more secure fit. You'll keep the moisture protection cover as well.
I love all the instructional videos you guys have with all your products. I have already bought and installed the integrated turn signal brake light and led servo mounted license plates fender elimination kit with the led low profile plate light,. These will be next, but here is my question @TST where can I get that ratchet with the turn handle movements
An easy way to check if you need the 3-to-2 or the 2-to-2 model is to see if you have running lights in your front signals. If you do, you will need to get the 3-to-2 model. If you don't, then you will need the 2-to-2 model.
This is a beautiful turn signal and I'd like to get one, but I've been concerned about water isolation. Couldn't see any protection on the signal base to prevent water to enter into the fairing, since de original rubber that did that was removed. Also, is it the same for the 2016/2017 (new) model ?
I can't confirm if it is the same for the newer model because we did not get to have one of those in the shop yet. There is no water isolation necessary. The fairings don't come together to a pan, they are open on the bottom. Any water that gets in under those signals will just seep out. Besides, if you are thinking that way then you should be more concerned about the water that gets in through the main scoop in front of the radiator and header.
The two products are completely separate items. If you want your signals to flash at the correct rate I recommend getting the relay. You can also use load balancing resistors but they are a pain to install.
I would suggest following the steps in this video to remove the signal correctly, if possible, and then reinstall them. You may have fairing damage internally and simply pulling them out may cause further damage.
Its cosmetic improvement but look how must less indication a car in front of you will have. That needs to either be directed towards the front or be much brighter.
Customers asked for these so we served them up, along with detailed video and photos of what they look like after installation. The decision is really yours based on the result we showed precisely. If you need more visibility for your signals you can consider our pod signal kits. Currently we have two variants, and they can be seen here: tstindustries.com/TST-LED-Front-Pod-Turn-Signal-Bundle-Honda.html
It is tough to quantify the output without photometry. To the naked eye and in photos/videos shot with our camera sensors, they appear to be approximately on par.
I don't know which part of the timeline you are referring to but we recently shot the video on a 16+ model and everything went together pretty much in the same way. We will be posting that video in the coming week.
Yes they would. As for the harness converters, you will have to check to see what is on your bike. My data is inconclusive on models that old. The manufacturer's fiche does not specify the connector. Take a look at your connector and match it up to the detailed photos on our site.
So I get a 2017cb500f and want to change the turn signals to led ones. I didnt't fully understand what cable I need in the front to plug and play the lights. I dont want to cut the front turn signal wires. Thanks in advance!
Le Be our Honda 3-2 harness converters is what you will need. The plug on the converter fits the bike's harness plug on American models. If you like outside the Americas tou can take a photo of your signal plug and send it to our support people to make sure we are getting you what you will need.
is it any harm to the bike to leave it in hyper flash mode? i don't mind the quicker flashing and if it'll save time and money at no harm to the bike i don't mind leaving it like that.
I'm looking to purchase the relays for my bike as I have already ordered the flush mount signals from you guys. When I purchase the relays, do I need to place an order for 2 of them, one for each side, or does it come as a pair? Thanks!
Well I guess "enough" is difficult to quantify. Some of our customers have expressed that these are bright. Some have said they would like for them to be brighter. Our BL6 and ARO18 signals are a bit brighter than the flushmounts if you want another choice.
Yes it does. Basically what I was describing. The radiator scoop is the entire area behind and around the fork. You can run your wires in the manner you are describing but that is the lazy approach. It produces a less than professional result, and you will have to tie off the wires to the bodywork somehow because you don't want dangling loose wires around the steering components. I always recommend to do the job right the first time, that way you don't have to redo it.
I purchased these and installed them. Turned the left turn signal on and it worked perfect. Then I tried the right side, and I noticed nothing came on. I switched it back to the left turn signal. It had the same results as the right. I believe the fuse blew up. How common is it to react this way? I am not certain if that is the problem, but I’m assuming it. I am too tired to work on the bike anymore tonight to try and diagnose the actual problem. Any insight or help would be appreciated.
Start by checking the fuses. If you did blow a fuse then definitely trace down the wiring error that caused the problem before you just start replacing fuses to blow them up again.
We can't possibly film every single bike installation....we don't own every bike under the sun and unless someone shows up with one we aren't going to go looking for unpopular bikes.
This is what I get for skipping the first few minutes of the video lol. Should have gotten the 3-2 converters. Anyone know which wires need to be spliced?
On Hondas the wire colors are typically green for ground, solid (orange one side, blue other side) for signal, and solid with white trace (orange, blue with white trace) for running light.
Yea, you are installing single circuit aftermarket lights. The original signals have a running light wire, signal light wire and a ground. The new ones have a positive and negative, so only one function of your choice is available after connection. On most Hondas the three wires for front signal lamps are green for ground, solid for signaling (blue or orange depending on side of vehicle), and color/white trace for running light. Do not connect the running light wire, only signal and ground. In the case you absolutely must retain running light function we do offer a product called Running Mate.
Yes...the 2015 model is exactly the same as in the video. The 2016+ model is the updated design, but they also fit on that model. We are working on finalizing the videos for the 2016+.

Thanks for the video. It worked perfectly on my 2013 CBR500R replacement.
did you have to buy anything else for it to work properly?
This install video is a must. Use this technique and it is a 15 min job per side! These are $15 a set!! A must do mod!
Thanks.

That is a very nice modification to our method. Cheers!
Looks excellent on my 2013 CBR. Also, great advice with the wire to snake up the cable to the top, thanks!
You're welcome.

I can’t get the got dam wire out when pulling. Any tips on how I pull this wire out once unscrewed the boot
Very nice video, I used same technique to replace turn light OEM

You would have to check local hardware stores for a rotating ratchet. Husky or Kobalt may make one.
I have a cbr500ra 2016 which converter should use if i'm changing the front turn signal to led?
You will need the 3-2 version if your bike is an American model.
Does this work on a 2017 CBR500R? If so what adaptors do I need?
I have a 2014 American model cbr 650f. Which converter will I need. 3-2 or 2-2? Thanks in advance

OK, I think I'll wait for a confirmation for the new model. I liked a lot the smoked ones ! thanks
Alex Antão we have confirmed that the new model uses the same lights and harness.
with the plug and play converter do I still need to switch out the flasher relay under the tank
The two products are completely separate items. If you want your signals to flash at the correct rate I recommend getting the relay. You can also use load balancing resistors but they are a pain to install.
I have a cbr500r 2024 I dropped the bike and the right side turn signal is like pushed in and loose should I just pull it back out
I would suggest following the steps in this video to remove the signal correctly, if possible, and then reinstall them. You may have fairing damage internally and simply pulling them out may cause further damage.
Cable adaptors didn't come with the my leds and can't find anywhere that sells them. Where did u get yours from?
Right on our website: tstindustries.com/tst-signal-plug-converters-for-honda.html

I had to take off the fairings, where is this from and what year?
This video was shot on a 2014 Honda CBR500R.
Do you have a tail tidy kit for this bike 2015 CBR500R ?
Does this say 'manipulation' still work for the 2016/17 models?

TSTindustries Thank you very much for the answer. I will look into to it and will try the Adapter. Thanks!
is it any harm to the bike to leave it in hyper flash mode? i don't mind the quicker flashing and if it'll save time and money at no harm to the bike i don't mind leaving it like that.
As far as lasting effects, we've heard no issues with allowing hyper flash.

You will only need to purchase 1 relay for your entire bike. That will correct and control both front and rear signals as well as left and right.
Is there going to be a similar product for the cbr650r? Sorry if the question has been asked before. Thanks.
Whatever we have in stock that is actually verified for that model can be found here: tstindustries.com/honda-cbr650r-2019/
Although we have more parts that will surely fit that bike, we have not had the bike in the shop yet so we cannot verify fit 100%.
@@TSTindustries I understand, thanks for the reply.
Do you have a video of the 2016 version I'm in the process of replacing my middle fairings and I want to knock it out
We do have a video on the newer model but as I remember the procedure I dont think we removed the fairings in the installation.

Hey guys! Does this flushmount fits in a CBR 650R?
We have not verified on that bike yet but the chances are very good because these fit Hondas pretty universally.
2018 cb300f?

Well I guess "enough" is difficult to quantify. Some of our customers have expressed that these are bright. Some have said they would like for them to be brighter. Our BL6 and ARO18 signals are a bit brighter than the flushmounts if you want another choice.

is there any harm in not going back through the body?

TSTindustries closer to the body than the radiator, just not inside of the body. hope that makes sense!
