The original hack was so strange when it initially surfaced. No context or explanation, oddly high amount of detail put into what was ultimately a very short and empty hack, it was surreal in a way.
@@theshyestguy4221 Vinny doesn't usually get that startled by jumpscares, (see the Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion stream.) He probably would've been more irritated than spooked.

So interesting story behind I Hate You. It used to have a different version (actually there were two previous versions, but the only public one was a fanmade recreation of the original,) then the version Vinny is seen playing was made as a newer recreation, minus the potential malware of the original version. There was very little information given when the original I Hate You game surfaced. The original has several differences, such as the Luigi fight just being a short cutscene, the drowned corpses not moving, and most of all, the original had several loud jumpscares linked to particular events, such as retrieving the death mushroom, completing the game, and some others I can't recall the specifics to.

It is kinda culturally accurate, but great part of it is a dump of jokes on regional stereotypes, like in the first stage bullets flying everywhere in Rio de Janeiro... and the dinosaur in Acre.

8:23 i doubt Vinny will read this, but the whole thing is that fruit is a biological term, while vegetable is a culinary term. Fruit usually refers to any seed-bearing creation of a plant, and some of those fruits are further categorized as a vegetable based on their typical role in cuisine
Just like a tomato, you acknowledge tomatoes and cucumbers are fruits, but you don't put them in a fruit salad, and it's fine for them to be in veggietales.

This compilation didn't truly capture the utter bewilderment Vinny experienced after learning eggplants were fruit.
That first game is visually impressive. I like SMW games that put a spin on the formula and offer something cool.
I'm 100% convinced the developer of Mario Goes to Brazil was commissioned by the Brazilian government to create the game for their tourism board to release internationally.

Good video, but to me, it feels somewhat incomplete without Luigi's burnt face superimposed over all three characters on the ending screen. There were a few other good moments from the spooky games that weren't included. Maybe it's just me and my rotting brain, but I particularly enjoyed the part where Vinny was repeatedly jumpscared by an obnoxiously loud death sound and was forced to apologise to a chat member's cat.
