For context: "This is literally a corruption where the character turns pink and dies" is a reference to Vinny saying something like "I want good corruptions, we've seen enough corruptions where a character turns pink and dies."(possibly not at all what he said, but similar) earlier this stream.
He predicted it.

yeah it was something along the lines of being asked if corruptions will continue. And Vinny saying something along the lines of, it's hard to find good ones that don't fall into the categories of clown vomit, loud noises, and where the character turns pink and dies.

17:23 Fun fact about the intro Ridly taking a lot of Super Missiles in Super Metroid, that's not a corruption he just takes the same amount of damage regardless of what you use against him for whatever reason, there are some glitches that actually let you do this in the game normally to see it in effect.

Y'know what I find really interesting about the revealing of hitboxes? Link and Kirby are both characters that were in Smash 64, the first game, and they have Square hitboxes, both for attacks and themselves. Falco was added in Melee, and he has fully-defined hitboxes for his model, and all of his attacks. It's almost like Melee was built off of Smash 64's engine, and the characters use different hitbox-management engines because some were from the N64 era and others were introduced with that version...
