Tarkov Money Farming: Making Money after the Wipe!

- In today's guide we discuss why playing scav for post wipe money farming can be a good way to build up your stash early for no investment and minimal risk.
We will take a look at some quick scav routes to run for making money early in the wipe. I prefer to do fast money runs which allow me to get back to playing PMC as quickly as possible, focussing primarily on caches and other loot spots to quickly fill up our player scav.

For beginners, I believe that interchange and customs money runs allow for the quickest and cleanest way to get started, and these are the routes that I actually use either in my downtime from PMC, or if I need to make a few roubles for hideout upgrades.
Just remember - you don't need to know every loot spot on the map or even hit every container to do well!

I got the quad nvg from loose loot in the attachment cabin on woods . One of my biggest woods runs.
There are some good PMC spawns for the cache loot routes around the edge of Interchange. Getting one on a night raid is great, a good way to get some good money. Nice vid

Ive found Woods to be very nice for scav runs this wipe. Stick around the outer edges, small town has hoses, bolts. Usec camp has nice weapons and armor. Medic outpost has saline and meds. And lots of loose fuel and guns everywhere!

There's a really dynamic loot run you can do on the western side of Woods. I like to start at the bridge car extract and then end at outskirts area (When the extract is available.)
I have it broken down based on what I'm looking for, but if you have the time you can check everything.
Priority is always caches. There's several on the route. I'm sure there's more that I don't know about... yet.
Then there's the swamp town. Quite a few 'treasure' spawns. Christmas bulbs, Gold Chains, Lions, etc.. The church in the middle of lake, and marked circle are the best places to look. Otherwise, there are 3 tool boxes and plenty of loose loot spawns around with anything from ammo to industrial.
Then there's the little scav hideout a little bit farther down the road. Great for food, cigarettes, industrial loot. There are some electronic spawns in the bunker, as well as one or two treasure spawns. And civilian armor in the corners. ( If you're full on loot there are a couple extracts in the area if you are lucky enough to have them!)
Finally, you get to the USEC Temporary Base. Definitely the riskiest spot, but some of the more useful items. Meds, gun parts, guns, and armor. Personally, I have found 2 Troopers and one UNTAR vests in a single raid. The spawns are in some pretty gimmicky spots, but well worth checking! Just be careful of the mines around the area. When in doubt head towards the Sniper's Rock!

The best way to make money is to cut costs IMO. Reserve can save you a fortune in AK ammo costs with obiquous BT and BS ammo spawns and get you all the gear you need from raiders and spawns . Then making money becomes easy, figure out a solid route, pack the AK and BS/BT you got and whatever rig/vest, and run it up and down. I dont buy guns/armor from flea or traders and only really the ocasionally quest items or equipment ( respirators, 3Ms, lightbulbs, you know). This has the disadvantage that I rarely run meta builds or can specialise in a specific loadout but part of the fun for me comes from the variety.

Not always. Items sell to traders whether it's fir or not. Also items sell to traders for more or less than flea market price depending on the stage of the wipe. Even keys and quest items that are worthless late into a wipe can still be sold to traders at the same price as always. Meaning that knowing what an item sells for to traders can be useful and if you die you can still make something at times.
True there are plenty of items that sell on the flea at the therapist price, indeed
I spawn in a raid completely clueless as to what to do. The spawn system messes me up since wherever I go there’s either people behind me looking at me or people in front who I’m bound to engage

It sucks, computers and on my scav runs when spawning in. Last wipe I made them on the Intel center because I literally didn't find any, this stops you getting peacekeeper for ages though
Huh i dont know if it's a good tip, but i run a lot of customs and bought 2story dorms safe room keys and looted them every run. It's usually not that risky, because people don't really bother going to 2story dorms and I found all my flashdrives from the safes that way.

You should REALLY consider the shoreline run where you tear through the town in the west side of the map and go from jacket to jacket. After that hit the resort, by now there's 15 minutes left typically, pmcs are gone. Free loot lying around from bodies, most commonly on east wing ground floor I've found. In between everything hit any hidden stashes you pass near. I make about 500,000 on an OK run and 1-1.5 mil on a good one. Those jackets make BANK
Not one I've done tbh! I guess I assumed shoreline is too big to make it efficient, like doable in under 5m type thing and I always seem to run into stragglers in resort even near the end... Maybe I'll give it more consideration though
@@Gigabeef definitely try it. I will say you're right, its a 10 minute run minimum, 30 if you take your time and are greedy with the loot. Even if it takes longer, it still can make bank, and is by far the best key farming route I know of. In total, there's gotta be at LEAST 25 jackets in total, something crazy

A bit confused. You refer to the left side of the map as East. But that would be West, assuming that North is up on the map???

Hmm this one is a pain. The way I did it was stashes/big wooden box supply crates on customs, alternatively you can go to goshan on interchange but I find the shelves are empty most of the time so I had more luck in the crates

I think one of the big problems for beginning players with a standard acc is stash size.
I for one am filled to the brim with items, armor, guns, bps, etc. Do you have tips for managing this better?
It's hard. I played 2 wipes with standard and that was before hideout so you couldn't upgrade it either. Cases clearly are the answer, but that's not helpful at the beginning. I'd always get scav junkbox first though. Outside of that, use rigs like belt a+b (likely cheapest) , avs, tv110 to hold more items as its more space efficient. Pre level 10 keep 5 guns or so, just in case - after that start selling them to mechanic. Once you hit flea you can buy any base weapons you need so don't hoard them. Those that you do keep, take off the mags and pistol grips to make them one slot high. Fold any stocks that you can. Armor is probably the biggest issue, can't go into anything and just takes up a tonne of room. Get to level 2 ragman and buy 6b3tm from him when you need one, otherwise try not to keep too many.
I'll say again, it's hard! That's all I can think of for now :)
Oh one more thing not sure if this helps really but beta bags give infinite space, as they take up one less row than they have inside, and stack inside each other. Lol
This is my first wipe and I just recently bought a magazine case. Using your scav, run some reserve raids. If you’re lucky and learn the hotspots of the map you can come across dead raiders and thicc pmc’s. That’s how I was able to afford my first case lol.
@@Gigabeef Thanks for the advice! The problem is mainly that I dont have access to any case except the ammo case, of which I have two. I guess ill have to struggle until I get lvl 10 and enough money to buy a case off of the fleamarket.

@@jobsteffelaar4724 Whataver I can’t sel on the flea market I use or sell to skier, therapist, ragman. etc. armor typically sells from 12-70k depending on what you find. I found a meta m1 from a raider I can’t sell on the flea and I’m afraid to use cause I don’t wanna lose it. Lol, fence should be your last option though.
My friend did the custom route with two broken legs and he didn't meet anyone until he got disconnected
Scav, interchange, run straight to techlite and the 2 electronic stores below it. If you find something decent, extract, if not run around like a chicken with its head cut off shooting everything that moves because you ha e nothing to lose haha

In custom I spawned in as a scav, 10 minutes lefrt, got some great loot (for my skills) and then managed to run out of time after spending 5 minutes on the car jump, ._.

My first wipe I would do lots of scav runs and sell everything but now I know the game better I'm hanging on to most stuff for the hideout, barter and task benefits so I don't really have much room to collect stuff from scav runs any more. I try to sell everything I can but still struggle for space. I would like to upgrade my storage so i can do more scav runs because I prefer them in a lot of ways. I run Customs 90% of the time because I think it pays to know at least one map really well then I dip into other maps either with a buddy or as a scav.
Makes sense to me, customs also has good loot these days with the expansion. Some of the barter trades where you have to collect loads of items I normally don't bother at this stage as typically prices get cheaper later once people aren't rushing them any more and you can sell the stuff now on the flea for better, but for task items I 100% agree with starting to collect early, as many as you can!

A few changes! Flee is lvl 15 now and scav karma makes it so player scavs are less likely to kill you

The problem with scav runs is you actually have to get hit by the other player scav shooting you to keep the ai scavs friendly towards you.
Giga pleaseeee i need your help. I have been stuck on punisher part 5 forever now because i simply cant find a fucking ak74n. I killed the entire factory server so often now, looked through so many damn crates... nothing. :( this makes me wanna quit the game. Do u maybe have any idea where i could find one? :|
Huh it's find in raid now eh? That sucks... You're ahead of me on punisher so I'm not quite there. Hmm interesting I'll have to look out for them. I guess keep farming scavs, outside of that other suggestion is the scav case in the hideout. 7k seems to give base weapons fairly often

To be honest as soon as you know the map and how to extract as an scav, making money isnt the main problem. Imo the quests and leveling the traders is harder.

woods is pretty nice as a scav as well in the sunken village you can find up to 300 rounds of BT ammo
Woods is now a gold mine. Although they are far apart and extracts are far apart.
The medical camp near ruaf is LOADED.
I easily make 2-500k (depends on spawn) a run in about 15-25 minutes.
Its not just "is snipy boi here? No, better leave" anymore.
Plus the sniping positions all over the mountain let's you take your time now. Just relax, work on that aim training and gauging distance.

@@Gigabeef there is a lot of empty land between loot. The camps spread out the woods have quite a lot of stuff. Especially the medical camp.

You gotta pick your timing and your path. There's usually a way to do it relatively safely (and some luck ofc). You can do it!
PS sometimes it's best to do them right at the start, depending on spawns
@@Gigabeef yeahhh I try to wait it out usually, and get some loot in safer areas. But I still get camped at objectives or exit camped, especially on Woods.
@@Gigabeef do quests they said. Now im sitting here raiding for 8-9 hours a day for the last 2 weeks and still havent found my 3rd gas analyzer. I love doing quests.

pmc running is great and all but theres just something magical about scaving into dorms and seeing 4 dead pmcs, reshala and his boys dead and all of them unlooted.

Yeah thats when i would be dead. Because if they are unlooted the players are most likely still there and as a scav u rarely have good ammo in your guns

i usually do customs money runs with my pmc, trust me go night time customs. there is nobody
I'm one of the few you might come across on the night maps. I'm a self defense player. I'd rather ghost people than just start fights. I always liked stealth games and I like that I can play this like a multiplayer splinter cell game. I level slowly, but make really good money doing what I do.
You can play tarkov so many ways it's great. I almost never play night raids, just personal preference!
I allways run into 4 man player scav groups when doing night raids on customs.
And fun fact playerscavs are more dangerous to fight then pmcs. They just have nothing to loose and their only goal is to kill a pmc and get all the loot. And if it fails they loose nothing.
Money isnt the problem for me sadly... it is just the fact that everyone seems to have a 29 millisecond reaction time

wait a minute bro. 3.) Dont fight pmc? i earn more money by hunting pmc then looting. With even shit weapon u still can kill a few full eq players and spend 10 minutes to looting and thinking what to pick because there is to many stuff. 60 kg leave map as scav? No problem. U may pick slick, helmets with shield level 3 but it s only level 3 so probably almost every bullet go through and kill. People pick altyn on labs, customs It s pretty hard to find on customs someone with altyn. Players with 50lvl are still blindless and deaf. So i suggest just rush people and take they eq because u can leave maps as scav with 2-3 mln rubels... Dont pick this shit in barrels god damn it. 100 K VS 3 MLN ekhem...
2 bolts is 170k right now, so I find the barrels to be amazing! Also that relies on killing other kitted players... Which new guys find hard, hence the advice for now. If they find it easy to kill pmcs and make millions they're probably not watching this video haha :)

@@Mordimer935 u see if it is a bot or a player based on their movement. And i dont know what kind of geared players u find that just die to a player scav with 3 mil worth of gear. They have to be deaf because they hear u like 10 mins before you even know they are there. And if a player is in there with 3 mil worth of gear then hes most likely not alone. And for 2 geared pmcs to die to 1 player scav they really have to be bad wich considering their gear is unlikely. But if u get them so much pls share your servers with me id like to farm those bots too

I know so that's why when I kill the first one i looking for another one and kill him too. People are too greedy. They push not to kill u, they want only your stuff so that s why they die. For example, i respawn near rock passage on customs so i go to gas station with the hope on rashala. I killed rashala and his bodyguards with adar loaded with 855. They hit me once so i've to heal. Some squad doesn't check this area, just loot the boss. So that why 3 people die, with 20-30lvl, I recommend also hunting on boss. Everyone can be good in this game, just think and check the area. I killed boss his bodyguards, 3 pmc, go to dorms to pick golden zippo, i go next to red on trailers park to pick item for quest and then i go with zippo to trails.So yeah u can earn money, just check your area.
