"AHHHHhhhhhhhhhh!" That's this game and that's all you'll hear until you get used to the controls. The Playstation version was easier for me to get used to. The N64 controller crippled me more times than the PSOne controller ever did.

Problem is. Speed Runners technically don't "play the game." They look for glitches, area/stage by passes, dodges, etc. To get past the game properly. Though it still would be interesting to see what they would do to beat the game.

Really a shame they couldn’t refine this game. A well made MK adventure game with classic digitized graphics would be fantastic. Like controlling your own B martial arts movie.

I don't know what people think of it but I liked Armageddon's story mode. It was interesting and blended adventure and fighting expertly. It did Mythologies a lot better than Mythologies did.

+Spastik2D It's probably because there is no in-game music in Big Rigs, so it would feel unnatural to have music playing whenever there's a shot that not an in-game shot, if you know what I mean.
In the Sega CD video there's music in the games, so adding some music to fill in the quiet in between the in-game shots sounds natural ^^''

I would love if Netherrealm studios would bring back mini game modes. The Deadly Alliance/Deception/Armagedon trilogy is still the best in my opinion just because of all the little extra things they added like Konquest, Mortal Khess, Super Mortal Karts, a full charecter creator. Ect

Honestly this game would be pretty fondly remembered if the controls were reworked and the camera pulled back in some spots. This idea was cool.
This was a 3D game with 2D motion so there's no need for the button swapping directions. Just make it so you can walk backwards if you hold an extra button and then if you don't your motion changes which way you face.

You guys should do Shaolin Monks ko-op one day. Beat em up style with MK. You can only play as Liu Kang or Kung Lao in the beginning, but if you beat them game with them, or download saves, you can use Scorpion and Sub-Zero. I think it's the best MK game to not be one of the fighting games.

It took me years to realize that, in order to survive, I had to run to the edge of the platform and stay hanging. This game was hard and confusing af.

I manage to beat it in less than a day when i got it. I just found out like 2 years ago you can hold on to the platform. All these years they mocked me!

jeez. 4 years later and this is still the closest I have felt to the nerd on a specific game.
This game is not only extreamely difficult, it is a huge trial and error game. Extreamely frustrating game but its one where you get a little bit farther every time you play the game. Only issue is that once you get a little further and die, you go all the way back. Extreamely frustraiting game but extreamely nostalgic for me. (Had the PSX version. Madr it fairly far, but couldn't beat the 3 transformer robots at a time.)

I agree. Aside from Shaolin Monks and MK vs. DC, Mortal Kombat went through a very big dork age throughout the 2000's, which led me to think that Midway was just trying to ruin the MK franchise, like they created it and they wanted to destroy it.

***** I highly disagree here. I think the 3D fighting engines sucked major balls. I personally only enjoyed MK1 to UMK3 and MK9 to MKX. All titles between were a dark period for the franchise to me. The classic MKs of course are highly dated today and MK9 is superior to them all.

Man I loved this game on the PSX. It was hard to beat and yes it was cryptic but with a walkthrough guide I was able to get through it without too much trouble.

This my favorite MK game and in my opinion the most important when it comes to Mk lore. The score is amazing too, coincidentally it got me into ambient music at an early age.
One of my favorite episodes. No matter how many times I watch it, it makes me bust out laughing.
