I had a suppression motion denied because the prosecutor claimed a free air sniff conducted by a policeman in close proximity to a residence is legal based off hearsay. what the police failed to mention in the police report and the affidavit that a k9 was dispatched to conduct a search of the property that didn’t alert which is illegal according to Florida vs jardines. Is it possible to go to a pretrial hearing without the need for a lawyer? Especially when on misdemeanor charges?
In Washington state you can waive your right to an attorney, but this is a terrible idea on most cases. In your state, you would want to ask a local attorney.
