      wym TOP was not even trying first two games. look at how they pick their comps games 1 and 2, barely any early game pressure champions which is their playstyle. im pretty sure they could 3-0 from the beginning if they just played their normal picks but its also a strategy to see what theyre dealing with game 1 and 2
      games 1 and 2 look at draft: ALL farming scaling late game champs against FNC, this is so obviously not their playstyle. when they pull out lee sin and ori and champs knight actually excels at, its just early game dominance and ezreal to just wipe out mid game and teamfights
      but im also proud of fnc because no team has done this well against top in this whole tourney not even drx (which is supposedly much better than fnc)

    • @kingkeys05
      @kingkeys05 Před 3 lety +33

      It starts with success.
      And success is all about growing.
      Success is all about overcoming your demons. Success is about getting knocked down, time after time, and getting back up.
      No one embodies that more than Martin Larsson.
      Rekkles. He is one of the most experienced and celebrated marksmen in Europe and the World, but regardless of that resumé, he has never won an international trophy, but he has never lost his drive.
      And what's more, is that even a couple of years ago, even making a Championship Final seemed out of reach.
      Until 2018. Everything was set up to perfection for Martin and for Fnatic. They reconquered Europe after years of G2 domination, Caps stepped up as a true carry, and they faced an IG in the Finals they had beaten twice in the group stage. But as we all know, it was a tragedy. It was a quick exit. It was a shameful display, and what was worse, it felt like a lost opportunity that may never come again, for Rekkles, for Fnatic and for Europe.
      The LPL rose as the unbeateable beast we know them to be. And the LPL would dominate the World Championship two times in a row. But Rekkles, he did not stop fighting, and in fact in 2019, he was finally able to put one of his biggest demons to bed, with Uzi and RNG.
      And now? Now we're here. 2020. Where the expectations for Fnatic were at their lowest ahead of this best of five versus Top Esports, the first seed from the LPL. The LPL that has beaten EU down in these best of fives, time and time again; and JackeyLove, standing tall and poised to win his second World Championship.
      But so far we haven't gotten LPL domination, we haven't gotten the JackeyLove highlight reels, and we've gotten Rekkles and Hylissang lane kingdom.
      It all comes down to this next game. Demons can be slayed, expectations be damned, and Rekkles can cement himself as the player he always wanted to prove he was.
      In this next game, it's all up to him and Fnatic to make their dreams come true.

At times it felt too biased, we know JL was not playing right and FNC bot lane was picking up on it, but there was a lot of things happening around the map, Game 4, they barely mentioned Karsa for ALL the work he was doing..

    • @Wonderer7754
      @Wonderer7754 Před 3 lety +5

      It's likely because they picked up the JL vs Rekkles bout from Worlds 2018 Finals, when JL was still in IG. No one knew the odds of the botlane duel dishing it out again so it's probably their way of hyping up TES vs FNC instead of it being Karsa's spotlight
      Then again, it's just a guess, and I do agree the rest of TES are being swerved too far in the sides just to push the ADC vs ADC agenda

      I think by focusing on the ADC hype the casters A: appeal to the lower elo consumer viewers which is a lot of riots income and player base (more people understand bot lane than jungle and a whole if either) B: bring up a former ADC rivalry from the past to hype it C: Avoid helping any other teams understand what TES is doing strategy wise to help prepare against them later so I think it was a great angle to take, also FNC entire strategy was pour resources into bot lane so a lot of action was occurring there. On another note the casters do not control the cameras so sometimes there will be 2 skirmishes and the camera men only select the one and casters have to adapt on the spot and do play by plays and analytics.

Staying calm on the bot the lane despite all the harrass and focusing the FNC's weak sides ( jungle-mid duo) and getting other lanes ahead is phenomenal.
