DWG was toying with G2 too, I mean Nuguri is a 30% win rate on Gangplank and a 46% win rate on Sett and he’s never played Fiora this year. Canyon’s Hecarim he has only ever played 2 games of it professionally. Showmaker’s Sylas is not even his top 10 best champ and only picked it for the BM. Beryl never plays Sett support and brought out a goddamn Hail of Blades Braum. They were just limit testing champs this series lol

Also don’t forget to mention G2 was the first team at worlds that DWG chose first time champs against. They didn’t even play these random new champions against DRX or the teams they played against in groups. Like Fiora, Hail of blades braum, Sett, gangplank, sylas, hecarim have never been played by DWG players this worlds let alone the LCK playoffs. They were just practicing champions the entire series lol

G2 didn’t play poorly, they played their style of league and DWG read them like a book. Showmaker consistently made 1000 IQ calls to counter G2 heavy roams.
Game 4 is technically a bunch of solo kills until g2 gets too fucked up to get back to the game. They did play poorly
game 1 they were forcing unfavourable fights for nothing, game 3 DWG Mikyx was inting all game long. they did play poorly.

DWG's bot lane is incredibly underrated. The other three may get the spotlight majority of the time, but Beryl is so key to their triumph as well. Ghost is the most underrated of them all though, no matter how good he does, lot of people won't acknowledge him as much as the others, or even as the best ADC of the tournament. He is consistent af.
Yep, he knows how to play weakside and holding his lane still to let Beryl roam or get some vision. He hardly overextends and fits the team so well, Damwons identity with Ghost is complete, everyone knows what to do in order for the team to success. Beryl or Damwon in general are good at reading the map, Beryl is always on time with roams once the enemy bot dissapears and Damwon bot mostly won their lane. Its kinda weird that most of the World highlights isnt even Damwon, but thats maybe because they won mostly because of their macro and never had to do some crazy outplays in order to win.

So satisfying after the amount of EU bias this Worlds. Casting was horrible, not even mentioning DWG getting kills on the side and instead opting to talk about how G2 could still win. You could tell they were so mad after Game 3. Feels good, such a reality check.

DRX had somewhat a grasp of how to play the meta but unfortunately had to face DWG in quarters, so no surprise that they lost pretty hard. Worlds meta on the other hand suits LPL tho, I agree on that.

Plus, if we are talking about performances, yea, probably LEC deserves to lose a 4th seed, but I think that they won't. LEC still made it to the semi finals, that should put some points in their region. And yes, LCK deserves a 4th seed next season, and if we are talking about performances, NA should have 2 seeds and LCK 4. Because, if there is a region that deserves less seeds, that region is NA.

@ They lost 3-0 in an absolute smash vs FPX. G2 was not the best team. In fact G2 struggled a lot with SKT last year. It was 3-1 but SKT could have played those games a lot better than they should have. If your argument is that G2 has a problem with chinese teams , then they clearly weren't the best team. Being able to beat 1 team and not another is not how it works. The same could have been said for skt. FPX stated that they thought they had 0 hope for winning the finals because SKT was smashing everyone in Scrims, then when G2 won, they thought ok, free finals win. If SKT didn't have a problem with G2, they would have beat 3-0 and been the best team, unfortunately that logic doesn't work. You have to be able to beat everyone to be the best, no excuses. SKT was weaker in that series, and G2 was weaker in their series.

Well, in the last 2 years, LEC teams both went to finals against LPL, and G2 clearly was the "LCK killer" in 2019 worlds and MSI (beating DWG,Skt, Gen g etc etc...). I'd agree that they are too cocky and arrogant, but one cannot deny it remains a decent team ;)
That said, DWG clearly step up this year, and no way G2 could have won this. Sad as EU fan, but well deserved win for Damwon !

It's difficult because coming into the tournament Jankos seemed to be the worst performing player. Only being able to play Sett - Volibear to an extent. Now in groupstage and playoffs he's been arguably the best player if not Wunder.
It's just sad that Caps didn't really play to a world class level. He was good, just not good enough. And Perkz is clearly not made for the botlane when mages are not in the meta. He's just not a good ADC, let the stupid narrative that analysts and casters promote die already. He was good in 2019 because his holes could be filled by picking something like Cassio or Syndra bot. Players had to prepare for that so they wouldn't be so ready for a Jhin pick. Now that it's all back to ADCs his limited champ pool makes Nemesis' look like Chovy's champ pool.
The casters makes Quickshot my favorite EU caster of all time (dont think ive ever seen him go biased)
Really well-played by Damwon. Despite G2 having some good moments, Damwon refused to let them make a come-back in the series. This is almost like a complete opposite version of 2019 G2 vs DWG.
Starting to feel like the LPL should be pretty apprehensive. I'm more of a LPL fan, but I really started liking Damwon last year when they made it to Worlds as rookies and beat the 2019 SKT super-team a couple of times. But I feel like Damwon really have a good chance to win Worlds.
TES/SN better step their game up, that's for sure.

Awesome series from both Damwon and G2. As an LCK fan, I'm very happy to see an LCK team in the finals since 2018. Props to G2. As much as I dislike them, I can't deny that they're one of the best, especially vs LCK teams. So, I'm a bit ashamed to admit that watching Game 4 was rather satisfying to me. Unfortunately for G2, this just wasn't their meta. Wish G2 the best next year and I wish Damwon the best in the finals.

I am quite conflicted about this series. Of course as a EU ‘fanboy’ I am sad G2 lost, but part of me is actually happy, because I rather Korea reclaim their throne than G2 losing in finals again. To be honest, at this point I don't really care if DWG wins worlds or not. I am just happy that they destroyed G2 despite being called the "LCK Killers." They even mocked them at the end 😂 and that really makes me happy because G2 is a strong team but I just don't like their arrogance. In this series I think they lost because of support difference. MikyX is a good player but in this series Beryl played way "Gooder" 😂 than MikyX. So WP to G2 but DWG deserves the win. Congratulations to both teams.

They picked 3 champions that they have never played before and they were so confident in sweeping G2 that every DWG player had their priorities set on making worlds clips plays so they tried making risky 1v2 plays or flash plays constantly by themselves
