@@TobiDaJoker Not entirely true, depends on the scope, but past 3 years, H2H, eu wins both in number of games taken and in BO won. On top of that, G2 still has had the best performances against eastern team internationally. I think that it is worth noticing considering how rare it is for the west to do that.
Ppl seem to overshadow G2 perf because of NRG accident, but if we are being honnest they are still the biggest western threat by a large margin. If we should account for the average level of both region, what matters in the end is "what team is the best", and here, clearly G2 has not contender in the west, which gives a significant advantage to europe.
@@karndesintox9612 G2 has taken multiple games from eastern teams every tournament since 2023 MSI, while the rest of the west has managed to barely take 1 per tournament
@karndesintox9612 Yeah fair points. As you said I do think the scope matters, as G2 is doing all the heavy lifting for EU. On the other hand multiple NA teams have found head to head success against EU as of late (EG 3-0 MAD, NRG eliminated MAD, NRG 2-0 G2, TL 2-0 FNC etc.) I said couple of years (2) not 3, but yeah overall I would still say EU (basically G2) has been the west's best hope. If I had to put money on a team making a run it would be G2. However, I do think that NA is currently performing at a similar level, so I wouldn't be surprised if they made it farther this Worlds.
Easy to tell because Europe has never imported a single player from America. If you pay 5 koreans to play for your team and beat someone it doesn't mean your region is good

@@joshuakei8925 It is hard to say, but I think if this G2 played this exact way against TL that played the way they did against FNC, I'd bet on TL. G2 almost got 2-0'd by FLY... It was not a good look. I'm REALLY hoping they find their MSI form again, cause this was such a sad showing from our teams. I expected as much from FNC since they were mentally castrated by TL at MSI, but from G2, come on bois.
