    It's always interesting seeing other people's process no right or wrong way in anything only the results
    I did a reverse cowl years ago I made mine as one part
    That way I only had to shape and weld the front turn down
    But I can see the benefits of of your approach nice result

    Beautiful work, scoop looks great. I can't imagine the price of the big hammer 😢

      Thank you. The hammer cost a bit but it is the cheapest hammer for the size big time bang for buck.

    I have a 2” reverse form the factory on my 69 Camaro. Except for those and Torana’s I wish people would stop doing them most look crap especially when they are 4 “ at least yours is handmade and understated

      Thank you. I have been doing some work on the Lancia but it’s mostly just welding stuff back on. It’s not a lot to show in a video unfortunately.

    Awesome work mate can I ask where you get the nylon blocks to make the dies for the power hammer
    Cheers

    • @Resurrected_metalshaping
      @Resurrected_metalshaping  Před měsícem +1

      I get the nylon blokes from Bunnings. They are building packers. They are good on the small hammer iv been testing them on the big hammer and it hits a little hard so I’ll be going steel on the big hammer.

    Love your work mate, I'm from Northern NSW and Ive been trying to make one of these scoops for a HK Holden but can't get the right shape for the centre section, do you put any form in the panel first before you start shaping in the power hammer or do you leave it in a flat state and did you have to curve the front of the scoop over the oxy bottle to after you put the centre line in it? any advice would be much appreciated. cheers.

    • @Resurrected_metalshaping
      @Resurrected_metalshaping  Před měsícem +1

      Thanks heaps. Glad you are enjoying the videos.
      I shaped it in its natural shape flat as it’s pretty flat. I added more shape where it curves to the front of the bonnet as when it curves over it will lose shape. After I put the center line in I gently adjusted it over the gas bottle. Hope that helps.
