    I can see the point of keeping the pilot rails as a part of the boat's DNA but I'm guessing many leisure users would also like the security of edge rails. A great addition to the range tho and as always a great video.

      I must admit I this is by far the worst boat for the money I have ever seen in my life, and believe me I’ve seen a lot of them. 650k£ for 5 years old vessel with one call it a cabin and call it an en-suite? For this amount of money you are easily looking for 55-60 foot Sunseeker or Princess of that age. Proper 3 or 4 cabin boats with 2-3 en-suites, bigger living room, proper dining area, and a kitchen, possibly a Flybridge and what you wish for. This is a lot of money for shitty 5 year old 13 meter boat. Before any of you say anything, ask yourselves would you choose this shit over an actual yacht.

    • @naboftheuniverse3465
      @naboftheuniverse3465 Před 3 lety +3

      This boat can go anywhere yes i would choose this over any other boat at this price. You can actually go boating stress free in the med as long as u want not like in princess that’s mostly useless unless u wanna spend most your vacation worrying while docked. Dale classic 45 over this tho.

    • @lukapindzo274
      @lukapindzo274 Před 3 lety

      @@naboftheuniverse3465 So you ate justifying the price of almost 800k€ for 5 years old 42 foot with one cabin and one en-suite without proper shower door? You are not going for trans Atlantic for God’s sake and yet 55-60 boats are not little tender which could be flipped at any time…

    • @naboftheuniverse3465
      @naboftheuniverse3465 Před 3 lety +2

      @@lukapindzo274 I really wanna see you in the med in a 40 foot princess in a storm you can’t outrun in a boat that can’t take it with not enough fuel left to even have a decent speed. But of course you probably are some amazing captain that knows something else other people who also wanna go boating all the time regardless of weather conditions in luxury don’t know. Right?

    • @lukapindzo274
      @lukapindzo274 Před 3 lety

      @@naboftheuniverse3465 First of all, I said 55 foot boat, not 40 foot princess which actually makes a difference. Furthermore, yes, I actually do know something since I am in a minority of people on this channel who are blessed to own a boat, and probably if you were in the same situation you wouldn’t even think about spending this amount of money on a vessel like this one, but you do know better, right?

    I've always loved the Nelson DNA boats - I recall being in our marine ply family sailing yacht just off the spit at Lepe Beach one calm and sunny autumn day in the early 70s. Dad had a pan of mince and onions warming on the primus. A Nelson blasted past at full wellington leaving a large wash - this hit us and our lunch went flying across the cabin....I realised at this point I wanted a Nelson....dad swore a lot....

    I think that for the first time in my life, I have truly fallen in love with a boat.
    I own a pontoon boat that I adore but will not get me out on the Intercoastal Waterway.
    The other boat I love is any of the FPB's for circumnavigation.
    Being that I will never be able to afford one, I love them too but unobtainable.
    This boat, THIS BOAT, however, is now a new dream that could actually happen!!!
    Plus at 7 or 8 knots, I am betting the range is nearer 750 miles with the advantage of having more power available to get through faster seas or bigger problems!!
    Thank you so much Nick for fueling my dreams!!!

    One of my favourite boats, this is no nonsense. I also like Grand Banks who are not necessarily built for speed but designed to be seaworthy too, the Grand Banks 42 was a great design in its way too. Classic designs never go out of date. I can see why the pilots have the Nelson hull and Seaward have built a great interior. Very good video and well done for pulling it off as it were.

    Great video Nick. I have been on one some years ago. I had 2 uncles who were pilots on the Ouse and Humber. They took the ships from Goole to Hull and return. Managed to get my uncle to take me on a trip up to Hull. Had to disembark the ship in the Humber estuary and climb down a ladder onto the pilot boat. A little scary as the pilot boat is rising and falling all the time. Of what I remember the cabin was basic but had a mug of tea on the way back to Hull.

    That is a very impressive boat where you can do some pretty dumb things and come out unscathed. On may boats the side decks are so narrow that you need to watch your footwork as you move forward stepping between the pilot house and the outer rail where on this boat it seems safer to completely remove that outer rail. Brilliant idea. Seems nice and light even below deck with good accommodations for a couple with the occasional guests. Angus was probably more disappointed than we were that the weather wasn't rougher - this was way too easy for him. A big well done to the three guys who made this possible.

    Tierra del Fuego - I'm on my way - FINALLY. Well, I COULD, if I was ready - my survival suit is still at the cleaners...
    Literally, an unbelievable boat. Aside from my bad jokes, I'm left for a loss of words. Thank you, Nick, for the tour...

    This baby is a real little beast. I got a serious armchair thrill experiencing your trial run. Thanks mate!

    Great to see the boat in action, shame it wasn't a little rougher.

    Angus said it was unremarkable, but I'd say it was extremely remarkable how nothing was getting jostled or bumped at all during the sea trial.

    So you want to cross the channel today. The weather is iffy. Other boaters are fretting about trying to decide what to do. You and your seaward are calm, relaxed and confident as you push off the key. Something to be said for that.

    Michael: “Get rid of the Seaward.”
    Lucille: “I’ll leave when I’m good and ready.”
