    Lot of boat for the money Nick ,I like all the polished wood it just shouts quality unlike the trend towards the caravan materials they use these days

      It’s funny I was thinking the total opposite of your comment. That why has this layout gone out of style and I wish some company would build a modern interior for this aft cabin layout. But, I totally respect your opinion as well.

    • @Mc674bo
      @Mc674bo Před 3 lety

      @@bradvitz2531 hi sir I think I was also wondering how much it would cost to day to get an equivalent boat even without the wood finish. And yes the layout would be better utilised undoubtedly , but if money dictates compromises must be made. And judging by how well it is constructed it’s still got a long life ahead of it . As a long term project it has great possibility’s , and someone like your good self could bring out its full potential. Best wishes and kind regards 😀👍👍👍

      Just about the only bit of Nick's wording I don't like is when he calls a beautiful boat a "machine". Even "a beautiful machine" doesn't cut it for me - it's a boat, and even if it's old fashioned to say so, that's more than a machine.

    I've found the best way for me to watch these great videos. I play them at twice normal speed, with the sound turned down. Then I go back at normal speed to the sections that interest me most (accommodation and engines usually), and enjoy them with Aquaholic's great commentary. That bypasses his laudable thoroughness with aspects that don't interest me, and gives me intense bursts of the voice over matching my favourite bits.

The little wooden door between the master stateroom and the engine room is so strange...imagine the noise when you are under way!! Excellent galley with seating. The engine room is crazy low...that's an 'on all fours' type of engine room....but I totally love this boat. Really super guest cabin...always lots of light, no claustrophobia anywhere...wow, this is one of my fave's so far!

    @strider6920 Před 3 lety +5

    Lovely boat. You get a lot of boat for your money. I like the displacement hull setup. Makes the boat very useable in all conditions. I prefer this to very high speed yachts that would also use too much fuel. Stability and range mean more to me. My only issues are that there are too many stairs for my liking, which would hinder one of my family members too much. Additionally, I feel that the master aft cabin is too close to the engines space, without a watertight/noise absorbing door, so I suspect you might hear them if in the cabin while the boat is running. Though for it’s age, this is still a very nice boat and would suit a lot of people ! Thanks for the tour Nick 😊

    Extremely interesting boat. The woodwork is beyond gorgeous - and instantly dates the boat. It's really a shame, because I can appreciate the enormous amount of work that must have gone into it. But then it has those engines, and you really understand what this boat is all about! It's like that 1970s Land Rover that looks dated but will still get you to where you're going, in the rain, through the mud, and still in style, even if it is dated. Thanks for the tour!

    Great Vlog👍 and nice boat! Surprising amount of room in the master cabin and with even a dry head in it. Didn't expect that in an under 50' boat with a bit of age on it (not old of course but certainly not "modern"). Would be a comfortable cruiser to take out and play in.

    Really great looking boat! And, so much space! Love the high gloss cherry wood finish, and it would be SO easy to make that interior look pretty much bang up to date by just replacing the dark blue seat covers and new curtains... All it would need to make it look really modern! Great video Nick!
