LG Multi V 5 error code 116 oil level sensor error, actual error code 116 1 (C2) master compressor 2 oil level sensor error. After replacing the sensor system ran fine.

Very interesting, I assume if you could swap the dodgy oil module over to C1 compressor - the fault would shift to 116 1 C1.
That is a pain though unwrapping the tape to get to it, especially with one hand✋.
It's amazing how many youtubers only have one hand🖐️ - what are the odds 😂😂😂😂

You should be able to pull the leads off the oil sensor and short them together and watch LGMV service tool to see if the oil indicator goes green. If it does and you put it back on and it goes off again then it's a good indication you are low on oil. If tho when you short them out and the green light doesn't go green then it's a faulty oil level sense and cable. Order it for inv2 so the plug colors are the correct ones. Then as alway watch it and make sure it does go green if not you'll need to run oil recovery mode and follow other comments abovevas you might have another issue with valves

Usually oil return is a fault of the indoor units needing to be reset. Sometimes the outdoor unit will lose an indoor units address or HR boxes could have failed eev. It's hard to troubleshoot without using their service checker LGMV

I replaced that oil sensor board/ module and the system ran error did not return and client haven’t called back since!

Hello, I have a Multi Vs system and I I have 2 thermostats one works fine connected to one ducted unit and the other is daisy chained between 3 units, I keep getting error 53-1, when the system starts to blows cool but then stops on the 3 units. Help if you can

Curious 🧐 is there a vale to oil level from the compressor thermistor? Some way of checking to see if you are getting the proper value from within the compressor? Just sayin

@james Saeger I agree ☝️my friend however sensors do go bad and if you are the one providing service for the equipment and you know it’s history then it’s easier for you to make the decision to replace sensor or chase it’s diagnostics

On this site 1 indoor unit had no power and the rest of system stayed online

System would still run even if you lose one or two indoor units, unlike daikin crap
